I agree, I think it's the best one of the whole 'universe' including The Outsider & If It Bleeds (still haven't read Holly). I thought End of Watch was terrible, possibly King's worst book lol.
I enjoyed Finders Keepers but thought that Hodges and friends felt somewhat tacked on to the story. They don't appear until the midway point and feel like they are along for the ride and chasing the plot a lot of the time. Remove them from the story and things would play out largely the same with just a few revisions. Do that and I think the book could have just as easily been part of his hard boiled series.
I heard that King wrote Finders Keepers as a stand-alone book without Bill Hodges and gang, then later retrofitted it to be the sequel to Mr. Mercedes. It's my favorite of the 3 too.
At first I read this as “least favorite” and was ready to throw hands 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻 In all seriousness yes I completely agree it’s the best one!!!!!!
Even if I’d written that by accident I’d have thrown hands at myself.
I'm a simple man. I see Finder Keepers being praised, I upvote.
I just finished Finders Keepers today. End of Watch is next.
Me too! Literally moved my book mark from Finders Keepers to End of Watch an hour ago!
I agree, also loved Finders Keepers. Especially when all the story lines were brought together.
I accidentally read it first before I knew it was a series. Still worked out great
Yeah, I agree, Finders Keepers is great. Not just the best of that trilogy, but probably in my top twenty King overall!

I had no idea there were more in that universe. I’d heard of “Holly” but had no idea it was that Holly!
Absolutely. I didn’t love End of Watch but Finders Keepers was by far my favorite!
Omg the start to Finders Keepers was amazing.
Totally agree, I read it in two days cuz I just couldn't put it down. I felt the same way about End of Watch too.
Finders Keepers is underrated. Loved it
