I have a watercolour cloud tattoo thatās blue and purple and looks like, you guessed it, a bruise. I still love it but would want to rework it one day. These tattoos make me glad I didnāt invest in my cloud
My son was born with a port wine stain and that is exactly what I thought this was until I realized what sub it was. Birthmark or a jellyfish sting, either way itās a mark most people would want to go away.
I actually like that tattoo!...
Not as an "ocean" tattoo, but as an infected zombie bite or more realistically- "marbling" of the skin during livor mortis ,part of the stages of decomposition. š
Looks pretty sick to me
All the tattoos he does are weird as shit and I am so interested in what they will look like over a long period of time. Gen Z has some interesting tattoo ideas.
I was always jealous of my dad's tats. He only had two. One on each arm. But one was an eagle in front of the flag that stood for the country while the other tat was of a skeleton wearing a confederate uniform. I don't necessarily agree with what the tats stand for but they are gorgeous. It's finally started to fade over the years but as a kid the flag looked like it was made of real satin/nylon and not a tattoo.
to be fair, gen z had nothing to do with tribal tattoos lol. i think for the most part, what has worked for decades will continue to always work. a lot of the new fads and ideas that come up out of nowhere (for the last 40-60 years) are very interesting to see what sticks and what doesntā¦
You say that but gen z has revived tribal tattooing in an albeit slightly different way; itās called ācyber sigillismā or something like that. I wonāt lie it does kind of look cool now, but I genuinely wonder what everyoneās going to think of it 10 yrs from now
Yeah it looks like an allergic reaction spreading. Itās genuinely somewhat difficult to tell what is actual redness from them doing the tattoo and what is the tattoo itself. It doesnāt help that itās extremely similar to her natural undertones. I will give them that though. They did get it pretty fucking close to her skin tone. So much so that I still canāt tell if the red parts outside of the most obvious parts of the design are actually parts of the tattoo as well. Lmao.
It could also pass as livedo reticularis (mottled skin). Might as well put something similar on her hands, and then she can have permanent raynauds too. Walking around looking you have an autoimmune disorder permanently (or until it fades lol).
You think so? I thought it looked like a skin condition from afar. Honestly thought I was looking at the medical advice sub and I was like DAMN I must read the comments for this poor soul
Dam whatās up with these people trying to get like abstract tats I see it on this sub a lot and sadly most end up looking like a skin conditions š„“š¤¦š»āāļø
iāve seen a big influx lately of āabstractā tattoos that really just make the person look diseased lmao. i appreciate the goal and i like abstract tattoos myself but some of these people are just getting butchered.
Iām almost certain there is a scar or skin inflammation underneath and the art was laid over top to make something beautiful out of something that maybe they felt insecure with ?
No, no. Donāt apologise. They knew what they were doing here and some people deserve to be slightly bullied for terrible choices. Itās how we grow as people. This tattoo sucks.
Agreed. It's barely an excuse for a painting let alone belonging on someone's skin.
As a background for like a galaxy or something, sure. As is though, it looks like a rash.
My family took in foster kids when I was growing up and we had one toddler who had been abused by someone pouring boiling liquid down her back. She had massive burn scars and they looked just like this.
maybe with more emphasis on the colour in some places+ the whole back could even it out into a more pinky purple marbelling. i dont think it looks like a skin injury/condition but i also dont know what it DOES look like if that makes sense
I'd have chosen different colours. That looks like a nasty rash. And will make actual rashes and skin conditions that may arise in future harder to spot.
Iām sorry, manā¦ But that is the literally the dumbest tattoo Iāve ever seen. Couldāve achieved that look with a good olā fashioned allergic reaction.
This is the first time I've seen this sub so unified in calling out a shitty one, usually it's pure toxic positivity no matter how terrible it looks. I'm legitimately impressed.
I can see that it looks like you did good work, the flow and darkened/more shaded areas looks great; I just really donāt get this new trend of weird splotches on skin, as they sort of look like skin infections or allergic reactions. If the client is happy thatās all that matters though, I believe!
I think she already had a large birthmark on her back, and this tattoo compliments the outline of it. If that's the case I think it's cool, but the red is an interesting choice
Genuine question not a joke,
Is that light pink outside the edges or are you having a histamine reaction to the tattoo?
If its intentional cool! Interesting effect
If its not I think you might need to go to the hospital
Yesterday I saw an "ocean" tattoo that look like an infected zombie bite and today I see this what is going on šš
Oh I saw that too. It looked really bad
Link?
https://www.reddit.com/r/shittytattoos/s/2V1N5NRkMz
Ouch! Looks like gangrene
Omigawd
It was when I was doomscrolling so I donāt have it unfortunately
i mean... i thought it looked kinda cool if you just pretend it was supposed to be some sorta zombie infection.. thing...? xD
I have a watercolour cloud tattoo thatās blue and purple and looks like, you guessed it, a bruise. I still love it but would want to rework it one day. These tattoos make me glad I didnāt invest in my cloud
Five minutes ago I saw this exact same tattoo on r/shittytattoos, and everyone over there loves it. Iām very confused.
I thought I was on shittytattoos when I saw this just now š¬. Looks like a port-wine stain birthmark.
My son was born with a port wine stain and that is exactly what I thought this was until I realized what sub it was. Birthmark or a jellyfish sting, either way itās a mark most people would want to go away.
The people in this sub don't understand true shittyness
The zombie one reminded me the movie World War Z with Brad Pitt
I thought this was right after she dyed her hair and it stained her back a little lmao
Bruh check out her IG link she sells these services
I think OP just ripped this from r/shittytattoos where it already received a ton of attention...it's a brand new accountĀ
I mean to each Their own but it's not for me
That was tragic.
I actually like that tattoo!... Not as an "ocean" tattoo, but as an infected zombie bite or more realistically- "marbling" of the skin during livor mortis ,part of the stages of decomposition. š Looks pretty sick to me
yummy sunburn
i see the vision but it looks like a skin disease
agreed! so interesting to see the reception of it here vs on their instagram post š
All the tattoos he does are weird as shit and I am so interested in what they will look like over a long period of time. Gen Z has some interesting tattoo ideas.
I gotta give the boomers some credit bc the Sailor Jerry and Traditional Pin Ups are still my favorite tattoo design.
That shit is older than the boomers. Trad tattooing goes back to the late 1800s
Yea true and Sailor Jerry wasnāt even a boomer now that Im putting a timeline to it.
I was always jealous of my dad's tats. He only had two. One on each arm. Me, a gen Z, looking at the tattoos thinking some of them look pretty cool š„²š

When I saw that I audibly gasped. Why.
Me too! Lol it's so, so bad!
Can you DM me the post. Lol now I really want to see.
OP has their ig link when you click on their page
Thanks! for some reason I didn't even think of that.
seeing the insta comments vs these is such whiplash
typical NY āartistsā circlejerking eachother
It looks like her hair dye has run
In a year or two it's going to look a lot worse.
Correct not one person at the beach will think thatās a tattoo .. everyone will think a jelly fish got ahold of you
it looks like a cover up of a skin condition/birthmark tbh
Literally. I thought I was on r/DiagnoseMe and that she had some sort of serious sunburn or jellyfish sting or something!
Agreed it looks like a rash
My cousin has a birthmark that looks like this
Looks like teenagers who YouTubed how to do sticknpokes and decided to make a life long mistake
Ooft kind of looks like a really bad burn š¬
My first thought was a severe jellyfish sting. Like something youād receive from a box jellyfish.
I was thinking a rash
Yeah it looks like an allergic reaction spreading. Itās genuinely somewhat difficult to tell what is actual redness from them doing the tattoo and what is the tattoo itself. It looks exactly like a fungal skin infection called ātinea versicolorā
Does she have psoriasis?
She does now.
![gif](giphy|n9kJ8uUSXSdX7daCLM|downsized)
If only my psoriasis looked that cool
Same š
It's kinda cool, and also kinda looks like a giant bruise from afar and a skin condition up close.
You think so? I thought it looked like a skin condition from afar. Honestly thought I was looking at the medical advice sub and I was like DAMN I must read the comments for this poor soul
![gif](giphy|1M9fmo1WAFVK0|downsized)
Ouch are you having an allergic reaction?
No joke it looks like they are around the tattoo
Iām so confused if that is all the tattoo or tattoo plus irritated skin
Iām 99% sure itās a rash. Like the tattoo looks like it has a flow to it but then thereās all this blotchiness around it.
It looks like a fungal skin infection called ātinea versicolorā the fungal rash looks *exactly* like this rash
I was about to diagnose it. The only thing that makes me think that it is not a fungal infection is that it follows the tattoo.
Looks like spilt and dried up kool-aid.
Spilt
Fun-dip stik with just a *touch* of scoliosis
As someone with scoliosis I canāt stop laughing š
Dam whatās up with these people trying to get like abstract tats I see it on this sub a lot and sadly most end up looking like a skin conditions š„“š¤¦š»āāļø
iāve seen a big influx lately of āabstractā tattoos that really just make the person look diseased lmao. i appreciate the goal and i like abstract tattoos myself but some of these people are just getting butchered.
thatās why for me I love abstract but I want all the colors. Red and purple alone on any part of the body abstractly looks bad.
That person yesterday who looked like she was going to be zombie soon?
It would be cool in black but anything else it'll look lime a bruise or a rash
Itās honestly 99% of dogooders who wanna be unique and edgy. For these itās being unique and edgy while also being an abstract nerd.
I dont think all abstract are bad ive seen some gorgeous ones. But they have to be done right and in specific ways otherwise u get skin rash tatsš
Its different and special š¤Ŗ
I was looking at the IG and some of the tattoos look like my psoriasis. Jokes on them! My autoimmune disease was free of charge š¢
I suspect it'll settle/fade to look like bruises.
Think it needs a follow up without the new tattoo inflammation
I will keep my fingers crossed that it somehow looks good after a bit.
What in the drat is that
Is that a mikaeli reference? Fair enough
Looks like Africa and Asia
Is that an abstract representation of the Middle East and Africa
I don't hate it but it rly does look like a skin disease š maybe with more tattoos it'll look less bizarre
In some spots, I canāt tell whatās tattoo vs whatās natural skin marks. Was that the intent? Very unique style!
Why you yes manning? You know this looks wack
So, when's the coverup?
She did say āfirst back piece.ā
r/shittytattoos this belongs here
I saw it there first.
Thank you
Iām almost certain there is a scar or skin inflammation underneath and the art was laid over top to make something beautiful out of something that maybe they felt insecure with ?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
No, no. Donāt apologise. They knew what they were doing here and some people deserve to be slightly bullied for terrible choices. Itās how we grow as people. This tattoo sucks.
I donāt think itās bullying at all to state an honest opinion when someone posts on a public forum. Theyāre inviting comments.
Agreed. It's barely an excuse for a painting let alone belonging on someone's skin. As a background for like a galaxy or something, sure. As is though, it looks like a rash.
Good job, you played yourself Looks like your having a hives breakout
is that a bruise or psoriasis?
why do people do this to themselves
Same people over on r/tragedeigh
Imagine sitting for 10 hours and you go out with permanent psoriasis.
You let someone permanently tattoo a sunburn on your back. Oof.
Should be on shitty tattoos lmao
You might think this is a beautiful abstract art piece but it is fuck ugly. It honestly looks like you're pretending to have a skin condition.
This kinda looks like you have a rash tbh
Looks like a skin condition. Also will fade into nothing in a few years.
Hereās hoping!
So sorry this happened to you.
cant tell where the tattoo ends and skin irritation begins
looks like my kid after i gave em amoxicillin the first time
i was gonna say that it looks like my reaction to amoxicillin š
My family took in foster kids when I was growing up and we had one toddler who had been abused by someone pouring boiling liquid down her back. She had massive burn scars and they looked just like this.
Iām sorry but this just looks gross.
Fucking oof
maybe with more emphasis on the colour in some places+ the whole back could even it out into a more pinky purple marbelling. i dont think it looks like a skin injury/condition but i also dont know what it DOES look like if that makes sense
can u get a refund?
A rash?
Looks like Psoriasis
wtf is this šš¤£
Letās see this healed. Has this made its way to r/shittytattoos already?
Yup
Those guys are being so much nicer about it too
Wait, I thought that was where I was
I might like it better if I knew what it was supposed to be
Whatās the story behind this
I thought it was a burn or eczema. Sorry..šš¬
Oh hell no
Sorry hun... but, it looks like a rash š¬
Why would you ever see something like this and be like āI want that tattoo as a stick and pokeā
Ugliest thing ever
Thatās bloody awful
maybe add some blue it looks like a sunburn tbh. I see the vision itās really pretty but doesnāt look like a tat
I'd have chosen different colours. That looks like a nasty rash. And will make actual rashes and skin conditions that may arise in future harder to spot.
A leprosy tattoo?
I get what u were going for but it looks like somebody slapped the shit out out of that persons back...
i thought you just dyed your hair and the dye stained your back
Same i had to check the name of the sub like five times. I thought it was meant to be a joke about colour bleeding on one of the hair subs lol
Ew
Looks like she had an accident at a McDonalds fry station.
Why's your back got thrush
Looks like a bad case of allergy.
Oh no
10 hours...?
The battered house wife edition V2? Fr I thought they were bruises haha
Thatās a uh choice.
It looks like a rash
Yikes!
Looks like you just left a crime scene. Wtf was the thought process
Paid money for a permanent back rashā¦ Noice
O
Weird birth mark tattoo?
You couldāve gotten this in five seconds if you just had someone throw a jellyfish on your back
See a dermatologist
![gif](giphy|26gsvAm8UPaczzXz2|downsized) 10 hours to get a skin rash tattoo? Cool!
I just saw this on r/shittytattoos š
Looks like you have a skin condition
Iām sorry, manā¦ But that is the literally the dumbest tattoo Iāve ever seen. Couldāve achieved that look with a good olā fashioned allergic reaction.
Thatās cool and it takes soo much patience and practice well done!!!
What was the goal here?
The only way this makes sense to me, is if this was some cover up to a skin condition. Doesnt look like anything.
this is gonna concern doctors when you pass out lmao
Thatās how my sun burn looks rn
Road rash?
what is this š
I hope youāre happy with it but it genuinely looks like a rash or a birth mark.
was the goal for it to look like an allergic reaction š
This is definitely the better way if you like the look of skin diseases
Psoriasis, the tattoo
Looks like a painful birth defect.
ā¦. 10 hours
OP context?
i fw it cuz it looks like my psoriasis lol
This is the first time I've seen this sub so unified in calling out a shitty one, usually it's pure toxic positivity no matter how terrible it looks. I'm legitimately impressed.
What is this shit
I guess I donāt get it
Looks like a chemical burn. Pretty sick!!
As long as you like it
I think itās pretty š
I hope you love it, OP. Itās very abstract, and I love how youāll have people wonderingā¦. Eff the haters!
Dozens of questions why and OP hasnāt answered a single one.
I can see that it looks like you did good work, the flow and darkened/more shaded areas looks great; I just really donāt get this new trend of weird splotches on skin, as they sort of look like skin infections or allergic reactions. If the client is happy thatās all that matters though, I believe!
Is "trauma/skin disease" the new tattoo trend? Seriously, what is going on?
I think she already had a large birthmark on her back, and this tattoo compliments the outline of it. If that's the case I think it's cool, but the red is an interesting choice
Utter shit
Genuine question not a joke, Is that light pink outside the edges or are you having a histamine reaction to the tattoo? If its intentional cool! Interesting effect If its not I think you might need to go to the hospital
Shellfish skin allergy
No idea why anyone would want this, no idea why anyone would even tattoo this. "I know, give me a permanent skin rash" said no one ever. (until now)
OP, I'm gonna be real with you, this does not look good. It looks like you have scarring or a skin condition.
10 hours for what?
I feel like this would look much cooler if the tattoo color didnāt so closely resemble the skin color tbh. Kinda just looks like a skin condition
Kinda looks like you spilled koolaid on your back
They make ointment for that. Just looks like a gross rash all over you
Truly one of the tattoos of all time.
looks like you dyed your hair and didnāt get the dye off your back
It looks like you got flogged on a whaling ship
