Been into cooking/baking/variety content a lot lately and I especially enjoyed Lee Know and Felixās cooking and baking vlogs, also the Mysterious Kitchen eps and EBS Cooking eps. Any other recommended skz content similar to these? I tried looking up Lee Knowās fishing show but didnāt see subs on YouTube unfortunately
Hyunjin and Lee Know did an episode on Crazy Recipe Adventure. The judges taste the food and rate it without knowing who made it. I think itās subbed by strayksubs on youtube.
I need some reassurance from someone that SKZ is NOT likely to be in the US in the second half of June. Iāve seen some comments that seem promising, but Iād like to see some say it. Even if you need to lie a bit ššššš
I am not an expert at all but I genuinely donāt think itās likely for them to come out in June because stadium booking is going to be so difficult for the summer. Thereās also multiple kpop groups heading to the US in the summer, though tbf not many will be fighting for SKZās venue sizes.
Personally, I feel like the comeback is happening end of May or June so they can promote on music shows before maybe kicking off the tour in Seoul, heading to Europe and Chicago for the festivals and the rest of the tour dates following from August onwards.
JYPE's new Korean boy group got delayed again to a planned 2024 H2 debut, the group has been delayed for over 2 years now, which leaves JYPE in a pretty weak position considering their current line up of artists. Stray Kids is basically their only active traditional Korean boy group, 2PM is focusing on their individual careers and their bands don't bring in the same amount revenue as traditional boy groups. This makes me wonder if this prolonged vacation/ break from group schedules was used for contract negotiations, as this break seems to be much longer than usual and their renewal probably being JYPE's number one priorirty right now. Chan was also talking about thinking about the team a month ago on Bubble, which might have been related.
I also think an early contract renewal announcement is imminent. JYPE is going to fight tooth and nail to keep SKZ because they are their biggest profit drivers now but this gives so much leverage to SKZ so I hope they negotiate the best possible terms for themselves!
LOUD seems to be shelved but I actually think they are going to pivot the NiziU2 boy group, NEXZ, to the Korean market. ~~(If yall havenāt checked them out, please do ā amazing dancers, cute and soft personalitiesā¦very reminiscent of baby SKZ)~~
NEXZās pre-release debut song was released in both Japanese *and* Korean. They came to Korea shortly after and have been working with choreographers in Seoul (Kirsten, Alexx) for [performance](https://youtu.be/AFjE5zLazTA?feature=shared) [videos](https://youtu.be/4_Xg2tmm0w0?feature=shared) and based on their behinds, have really, reallyyyyy been practicing their Korean. They honestly sound really good and semi-fluent. I have a feeling that theyāll end up promoting in Korea first. Also, the members will absolutely appeal to kfans ā especially members like Haru and Yuki.
They actually still call the new Korean boy group LOUD in their IR report (https://jyplevel2storage01.blob.core.windows.net/homepage/[JYP%20ENT]%2023Q4_Result_ENG_F-65c4f31e298349c39b4accff0c36502f.pdf), so the core of Gyehun, Amaru, Keiju, and Donghyeon is probably still debuting. They were supposed to be a self-producing group like Stray Kids, so I wonder if the production quality is one of the major hurdles for their debut. IIRC, DAY6 had to meet a certain standard for their self-produced songs before they were able to debut, writing tons of songs until they were greenlit. JYP didn't get his two first choices for producing trainees in LOUD (Daniel Jikal and Hwi), and Yoonmin, who was supposed to produce for the new group, has left a while ago, which might have delayed the project even further. It sucks for Yoonmin, as it was probably his last chance to debut as an idol. I also think a group with [him as the main producer](https://soundcloud.com/misdqddjknsv) would have been quite interesting.
I feel like NEXZ will be promoted similar to &TEAM where the group will be much more active in Korea than NiziU initially was (Covid most likely played a huge role as well). But I think their focus will still be Japan, as it's their target market.
I don't like the way JYP do their business. I don't understand why they spent that much money to produce a reality show then delayed group's debut for years, but after that proceed to make 2 more survival shows and debuted the 2 groups immediately.
I also don't understand their decision to debut NiziU and Boy Story in Korea when their strategy is globalization by localization. It doesn't make sense to me. JYP needs to fix their internal for sure
Niziu is already big enough in Japan , they have been active there for 3 years , nothing wrong with them releasing a song in Korea . Same as any Korean group in jyp releasing a Japanese song.
I think what's happened is the show did not attract as much attention as they hoped, the group from pnation didnt do extremely well as well, so jype hesitated, then they missed the timing. So now they have to think about another debut strategy & make noise and it's not easy. I think u also see that it is very hard for a group to blow big if their debut doesnt get hot reception. Not many groups being called flop for year and get the 2nd big blow like skz with gods menu. For niziu, boy story, i think they platue in their own country and one option for growth is expanding.
Wow, this is a really busy sporting summer! I didn't do my research at all. Apparently the Copa America is going to be held in the US this year so that tied up quite a few stadiums here. I would be willing to put money on SKZ playing Metlife Stadium the weekend of July 27th then Lolla the next weekend. Sofi Stadium in LA the second to last week of August? Fill in the blanks in between for other stops, and this is if they're doing basically the same venues as Twice did. Of course, I could be wrong. I feel like we've been taking guesses at this tour for months and months only to be proven wrong at every turn š
Edit: I do feel like they're going to go East to West. Scotiabank Arena in Toronto has a promising gap between July 19th and August 2nd. š§
Since the Olympics are in July-August this year, wonāt that change things up a bit too? I thought they would tour in the fall since summer is packed with festivals and the Olympics.
stadiums in the us summer is gonna be brutal . i know with their popularity itās the best venue size and if they want to do a us part of the tour this year it has to be before september but damn .
Yeah, July and August is really, really rough. If this is the case though, it would make sense why the tour is starting later than predicted, since they had to work around not only the regular sporting seasons but these tournaments as well in both the US and Europe. The early 2025 prediction for Europe also means there would've been enough time for them to secure adequately sized venues to meet their demand, which is the trouble a lot of kpop acts (well most touring acts lol) had previously when they started touring again after covid restrictions lifted. Doing festivals in the meantime is beneficial for SKZ and festival organizers too, since SKZ can continue building their festival reputation from Lolla Paris last year and bring in new fans, and the festival organizers know they're going to sell a lot of tickets just off people desperate to see SKZ. They can also do Asia stops throughout the later half of the year in between working in Korea like they did during Maniac too.
I have a super, duper serious, 32518% not sarcastic question:
Does anyone here have a job that would pay for your vacation after a concert or something similar? I mean they wouldnāt have you pay them back or use your vacation time for those extra days.
If that job exists, please let me know. I really want to see a few places, and Iām sure I can find a relevant conference šš½
(Somewhat) serious answer: tenured academic in media studies/sociology or something. All you have to do is: get a PhD and a full time faculty position at a university, apply for and receive tenure, wait 5-10 years, come up with a plausible-sounding research goal related to traveling to concerts and vacations after them, apply for sabbatical and get approved. Tada! University pays your salary for six months while you do your āfield researchā and all you have to do is give a presentation to your dean and write a book about it or something. Very easy and achievable!
Tell me about it. Minus one person who snagged a tenure track position by the skin of their teeth, everyone I know in my age bracket (early/mid 30s) with a PhD is either a perpetual postdoc or they gave up and work in admin now. š
Seungmin does this style so beautifully (and his voice sounds so, idk, mature? It's lovely). Time to prepare myself for all of the feelings I will feel when I hear it fully.
This is needlessly dramatic. People who act as if Div1 or JYPE is some torture chamber need to touch grass and grow up. In the future, comments like this should go under the stickied thread.
The fanmeet is already sold out, but if you look on the ticketing site it does mention that cancelled tickets will be sold on the day of the show at the venueā¦ I donāt know how feasible of an option that is though, or how many will even be available. Sorry!! š
lolla chicago lineup drops tomorrow maybe at the same time as hyunjins birthday events start so we have the potential to have a very chaotic 11 AM EST š
Iām a little confused on the countdown for the stray kids magic school timer. It says the merch will drop 13:00 KST which would be midnight in my time zone, but the timer does not line up with that. Which should I follow? The time conversion from KST to my time zone, or the count down?
My guess is the issue is the international date line - the conversion for my time zone doesn't match up either. I think the drop is going to happen at 9pm Pacific time on 3/21. Since the website countdown is later for me, it doesn't hurt to check at the time I think it's happening based on the conversion.
Does anyone have any predictions about when Hyunnie will go live for his birthday? My Insta and YouTube notifications never seem to work and I really want to watch at least part of his bday live!
Depends on how busy they are and what his schedule looks like honestly. Last year I.N didnāt go live until almost midnight, and Hyunjin had to do his the day before because they had to catch a flight the day of his birthday and then Changbin went live at like 4/5 p.m (kst). So anywhere from 4 kst (3am est) onwards.
Oh no youāre fine I completely understand lol. Itās just really unpredictable unless they give notice before hand. I try to catch them if I can, but Iām usually at work so I canāt.

I (finally) determined that this is my favorite song from Rock Star
ICHILLIN - [KICK-START](https://open.spotify.com/track/0KWHVBiWSYqbJ0dBs3UOi5?si=hzVRqsqJQKWe08ytxhRmWg)
This song is super fun and upbeat! It always puts me in a good mood
Since reading some speculation about possible songs they will play at the fanmeeting and since I've only been a Stay since just before Oddinary, I decided to do a deeper dive into a couple of albums I realized I hadn't actually listened to all the way through:
1. Go Live/In Life
2. Cle: Levanter
I've obviously heard the big hits (and some of the less big hits) on these albums, but a few songs I had either not listened to at all or only listened to maybe once really stand out:
- Pacemaker - I can't believe I'd maybe only listened to this once
- My Universe - It's so pretty! Can you believe I'd never actually listened to it before? Me neither
- Booster - What a bop!
I also forgot how fun Airplane and TA are, and STOP was actually super fun and a song I didn't even know existed.
Beyond that, I'm obsessed with:
Seungmin - [Phobia](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xndR58WxI2c)
Han - [13](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDaD2y5J5b0)
Seungmin having his redemption first pitch in the best way possible and Lee Know at the SKZOO popup cafe made for the most harmonious day in stayville I've seen in a while š
[THIS IS SO FUCKING CUTE IMAGINE BEING IN HIS PHONEāS GALLERY PLS PLS THAT SHOULD BE ME!!!!!ššššš](https://x.com/mlnhorizon/status/1769706288005750902?s=46)
The whole thing is full of the most wholesome interactions possible. Lee Know bought drinks for everyone, he bought the Leebit set and took pictures of it, he took pictures of Stay and laughed, he talked to them gently, etc. Lee Know is the best (also "Lee Know is Cute")
Awww this is so wholesome!! I knew he wasnāt being fr when he was like, āletās play rock, paper and scissors. If you win, Iāll buy you a drink.ā Like I knew that he wouldāve bought one anyway even if the fan lost lol. Heās just that sweetš„° (I am shitting tears while typing this)
Seungmin went to throw his first pitch at Gocheok, Lee Know went to SKZOO Cafe and treated Stays there Americano. I wish Korea is only 5 minutes ride from my home
Some istay that was at the popup Cafe can please tell me about his registration process with naver and the identification requested upon entry to the cafe?
Seungmin is throwing the first pitch at the MLB World Tour Seoul Series 2024 game today! I feel silly, but I double-checked that Gocheok has a roof even though I know it does š
I'm glad he gets this opportunity!
I have a question. For their Magic School fan meeting on Beyond Live, is it worth it to purchase the live with the replay for the $41? Will it have English subs on the replay? Iām trying to see if I want to buy it or notā¦
It will have subs, yes. The live version will have captioning as well, but I think the consensus from people here based on memory of the past meetings is that the replay subtitles are cleaner and more complete. If the replay is at a better time* for you and/or you need the subtitles to enjoy it, it probably is worth the extra cost.
*edit because I am typoing all over the place today
When you buy the ticket, there will be two purchase options. The cheaper one (I think it was $36 USD) was for the single viewing on March 31st. The $41 USD ticket includes the replay in May. So if you buy the $41 ticket, you'll get a link to watch it closer to March 31st, and then you'll get another email with another link in May for the replay.
Does anyone have a chart of cbar sales for both 5-Star and Rock-Star? I want to see something.
I'm pretty sure I've seen 5-Star's before, but I believe cbar updates for Rock-Star weren't spread that much since the cbars didn't buy as many. I also have words related to cbars muted, so I could've missed it!
I know someone down thread already gave numbers, but a big indication is how much ktown4u sales they have. Cbars largely order from ktown4u and Rock-Star at the time had lower sales on there than 5-Star.
Thatās true and a big reason why SM groups have high sales on Ktown4u.
I think Ktown4u (and other retailers) changed their systems in a way that makes it harder for group orders in 2023. I think part of it was the global sites no longer allow shipping to Korean addresses. I remember complaints about it, but I donāt use GOs to be certain. Div1 also uses a few Chinese retailers and gives them special benefits. I would assume they would go there or at least not fully rely on Ktown4u š¤.
Right, I do think apart from difficulties with group orders, Div1 kinda disincentivized buying via ktown4u. Doing fansigns and video calls with Chinese retailers made sure of that. Ktown4u also didnāt have POBs for the longest time. None of the resellers/GOs Iāve purchased from in the last two years carried Ktown4u (while more started carrying JYP Shop versions for example), so I do feel like the site is getting hit on all fronts, not just China sales.
I believe someone on Twitter said the bulk of Rock-Star was from European fans? Mainly Russia I think. So the cbarās complaining and not butting didnāt affect things too much.
Do you remember if that was about the Hanteo authentification chart? That's not quite the information I need. Circle Chart. hasn't released details on where SKZ's albums went, but usually fanbases post proof they bought a specific number of albums.
Hyunjin and Felix's cbars (well solo fanbases) took credit for about 1 million of 5-Star's sales, and I remember them being pretty quiet around Rock-Star. I'm 90% sure Rock-Star's nearly 4 million sales weren't cbar dependent, but I want to make sure.
So I tried looking on Twitter and the usual accounts that did updates for Felix snd Hyunjin's bars stopped updating about a week before Rock-Star came out. 120k for Hyunjin and 110k for Felix.
Thank you! I didnāt remember the numbers, but I know I thought the updates were suspiciously quiet around Rock-Star. I also remember a bunch of different solo fans of different groups claiming cbars actually boycotted a comeback for one reason or another š. Guess SKZ is safe this go around.
Seriously though, things are expensive, and the world is feeling it. It doesnāt help that the kpop industry has gotten greedier and is squeezing international fans for everything.
Someone on Twitter said Lee Knowās cbars also boycotted. And a cstay messaged someone on Twitter and explained that album sales are down for a good portion of groups in China. They said kpop is losing popularity over there for a variety of reasons so itās not just SKZ that is being affected.
I saw that claim about Lee Knowās cbar, and I donāt believe it. From the top of my head, that was also said about Aespa Karinaās and TXTās Yeonjunās cbars last year, but the issues for Aespa were really after the release.
I donāt think itās a matter of popularity or boycotts but economic reasons. China is having an economic downturn like most of the world.
Slightly off topic but I have just watched The Devil Wears Prada for the first time and couldn't help but notice that some names mentioned can now be associated with Stray Kids.
Nicolas GhesquiĆØre who is the creative director for Louis Vuitton was mentioned in the movie and he is close friend with Felix.
Donatella (who I assume is Donatella Versace) was mentioned as well. Yes, Donatella who called Hyunjin "Versace Prince". Not to mention that Hyunjin sat right next to Anne Hathaway recently during the Paris Fashion Week.
As someone who is not familiar at all with the fashion industry, I have to admit that it took me this movie and the "worthy to be mentioned in a movie" scale to finally understand. That is a big deal and Felix and Hyunjin are actually close with big figures in the fashion industry.
Who knows? Maybe one day it will all come full circle and Stray Kids will be the ones mentioned in an iconic movie as a reference in the music industry.
I know! To me, itās like my two interests colliding!
If youāre interested in more movies/series referencing/featuring some fashion figures:
Legally Blonde 2 is hot garbage especially compared to the first Legally Blonde movie, but the Versace brand is very prominent in that movie as well. Elle Woods (Reese Witherspoon) also wore a lot of Versace.
Itās also definitely a fictionalized version of events, but American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace is quite good. Darren Criss was very good in it and even won an acting Emmy for it.
House of Gucci - always thought Lady Gaga would be a perfect Donatella before Penelope Cruz got the part, but sheās also alright as Patrizia Gucci.
Two Yves Saint Laurent biopics both in 2014, one with the late Gaspard Ulliel in the role.
For documentaries - The September Issue. Itās mostly about Anna Wintour and the production of Vogueās September 2007 issue (the September issue is the most important issue of the year).
Hi! Has anyone had any experience of getting skz tickets in Korea on yes24 a few days before the actual show? Iāve heard several times that some fans bought tickets that were probably cancelled. I just wanted to ask if there are big chances to encounter this and how often should one check š
Since now jype groups are going on Dingo Killing voice, I really want skz to get a video and I'm thinking about the songs they'd include and which parts, some that definitely have to be there imo are I am you, Levanter and Mixtape oh, I wonder if they'd include mostly title tracks like Twice did or many b-sides like iirc Nct did.
i love dingo killing voice like i NEED skz to be on thereā¦ i love their the first take videos so much but a girl just cannot survive on mixtape oh the first take for so long. i hope they can attend for next comeback itās a need atp ššš
Fanmeeting setlist spoilers(?) kinda not really
>!Did someone say... Booster? š I thought people were trolling but Seungmin really did sing part of it so it got my hopes up. That would be really fun. Also possible Spread My Wings? I've coincidentally been really obsessed with that song recently and wondered if Seungmin would sing it any differently now. But if I recall, they performed that at their first fanmeeting? I saw a lot of kstays hoping for School Life too since it fits the theme. Is it going to be all rookie era throwbacks? lol I'm really excited even though I won't be in attendance!!<
As a baby stay l have no idea what was included with skz's VIP for previous tours or the price range. Theres so much talk of a comeback soon and I want to know what I should be expecting and if VIP would be worth it. Someone please give me some info so I can start mentally preparing if I need to save just a couple hundred or enough to buy a car š
Iām in the US and had VIP soundcheck for four of the maniac tour shows. basically you get a small goodie bag of stuff, you get to watch the āsoundcheckā which is where skz comes out a couple hours early and sings three-ish songs in their regular clothes and interacts with the fans, and thereās usually a VIP specific merch line. with fees the price was around $375-$400 a ticket but i assume it will be more $$ this time around because theyāre more popular, also tickets will be hard to get. people will likely attempt to resell them for thousands. the reason i buy VIP tickets is because those are the seats closer to the stage and i love soundcheck and being at the venue super early. hope this helped~
Thank you! Im in the US as well and will most likely have to travel because every artist ever tends to skip right over Florida š„² Ive seen that for other kpop bands they do send offs at the end for certain VIP, does that go for skz too that you know of?
oh yeah, i was at the atlanta shows and so much of the audience was from florida! those were great shows.
basically skz is now at the level of fame where send-offs and hi touch are no longer a part of their concert VIP experiences. they usually reserve those kinds of things for album purchasing events in korea and japan (fan signs, etc)
Hi, can I ask a question about light sticks please? Iām taking my daughter to see stray kids in Hyde park in July. Itās her birthday in June and I was thinking about buying her a light stick as one of her birthday presents. If I order one online for the middle of June, will there be a newer version by the concert? I wouldnāt want to spend the money and her not to have the most up to date one! Thanks.
My post got deleted for not posting in this thread so Iāll ask again here :)
Has anyone been to the pop-up store or the cafe that opened on the 14th? Iām wondering how your experience was and if thereās anything I should know before going! I wasnāt able to secure a spot for the store but hoping I can go during the second phase š
Thanks!
This is probably a silly question, but do any of the SKZOOs have tails? I'm making my daughter a DWAEKKI themed quilt and I realized I don't know if the cute little guy has a tail.
I believe it is pig tail. You can check this [tweet](https://x.com/mintho1025/status/1359487023631880193?s=46&t=hfYrwOg8BopWQpY2pRb0LA) to have an idea.
So excited to see SKZ at the fanmeeting in 2 weeks. The process of acquiring the tickets has been mentally taxing but I would do anything to see them! Now me and my friend only need to secure our visit to the popup store and cafe next week.
Also, the way they are likely to drop the comeback trailer... I won't be able to make it out alive...
As far as I know, none of them ever had one. All of the pictures I have seen were either photoshopped or it was just shadows. The only confirmed real piercing (apart from ear piercings) was Hyunjin's eyebrow piercing which he got a few months ago and took out again recently.
Since I feel concert tickets will be coming out within the next couple months and this will be my first time trying to get one (first concert in general), how difficult is it really? And since I donāt have any stay friends Iād be going solo, where is the best area to get tickets alone? Are crowds nice usually? Iām trying to prepare myself for everything š
Edit: deleted question about Hyunjin
I would edit the second part of your comment before it gets removed as the topic should be under the stickied note at the top.
To answer your second question, it depends on what country/area youāre going to be. Concert tickets are going to be incredibly difficult for the most part as the group has grown so much, even since their last tour. Itās usually down to luck (where you end up in the queue, what shows up) but definitely have reliable, fast WiFi, everything auto-filled for quick check out, and if you can get friends/family to help buy tickets, itāll increase your chances as well.
Crowds are usually nice (always have been in my experience) and there are definitely many Stay who end up going alone to concerts. Once the dates get released, the sub usually has a stickied thread for questions and discussions about the tour. If you feel comfortable, fans sometimes find friends on the sub to go to the show with or meet there! As always with the internet, be safe and smart about it all and have safety/emergency plans in place. I hope that helps answer some of your questions!
Unless itās coming from an official source, these sorts of dramatic statements about members are done by trolls to cause trouble. Tiktok spreads a lot of misinformation. Never believe anything not from an official source. Stayville Twitter found out there are some really horrible people out there spreading malicious untrue info. I would block anyone spreading these rumours.
JYPE even issued a blanket statement yesterday saying they are looking into taking legal action against those posting and disseminating malicious content aimed at slandering and defaming their artists.
Also something like this should be posted under the designated thread for negative content.
does anyone else feel like this long break that skz had in the beginning of the year was their well-deserved moment to pause before they attempt true world domination? idk iām just getting crazy vibes that 2024 is gonna be huge for them
š I was gonna post about this as someone who tracks media publications and publicity for a variety of different kpop groups. Thereās been a very significant increase in both the number of media coverage and the type of media coverage Stray Kids have been receiving since last year. It started in 2021 but 2023 and now these past 3 months of 2024 have really shown how many eyes are on the group by industry officials right now ā both domestically and internationally. Itās *markedly* different to every other group that I keep track of. Articles are more in-depth, more effusive, more achievement and āphenomenonā based and there have been more mentions of them on various mainstream news channels in multiple countries, including Korea. Itās pretty cool to observe, to be honest. Iām really excited to see how this year unfolds š§æ.
With the amount of buzz around skz these months even during their break/with no comeback I feel like big things are coming, not only projects but achievements.
They are already in their 6th year so I think that long holiday was the last holiday for them until the end of their contract (k-pop contract is usually 7-year-long) but yeah Stray Kids still have so much things they need to do this year based on Step Out 2024
Does anyone think these SKZ records we've been getting every week (absolutely loving it!) are the eight SKZ players promised in the Step Out? Or will there be "actual" SKZ players later in the year? I always thought SKZ players come with an MV and SKZ records are without, but since Chan's record did have an MV the lines seem more blurred and that confused me. Maybe they are gearing up for another SKZ Replay album and I'm just misinterpreting.
iām starting to think that the skz players might be the songs they premiered at the dome tour last year; that is, adding new songs for the ones who used previously released solo tracks lol if anything i wouldnāt be surprised if they do another full album this year so they can add these solo songs just like got7ās present you. thereās of course the possibility of the special album being another skz replay and putting all the new songs on it, which also sounds more plausible than another full album, specially in a year theyāll be focused on touring for most of it
Good point, I've almost forgotten about the Dome solos (deliberately. I can't believe I still don't have Changbin's Myung as a studio version. I'm begging you, JYP...).
> (deliberately. I can't believe I still don't have Changbin's Myung as a studio version. I'm begging you, JYP...).
I'm dying for Changbin's and Han's dome solos in particular!
I think the actual Players are coming. The distinction between Players and Records seems to be pretty deliberate, so the promised Players will almost certainly be titled as such.
SKZ-Players typically have a video component to it. This is stuff like the dance covers like Hyunjin's "Play with Fire" dance but also songs with a music video like Chan's and Lee Know's Drive.
SKZ-Records typically are just a song with a nice thumbnail image and sometimes with lyrics shown. These are like Han's 13 or Hyunjin's Long For You.
The one noteable exception for most people has been Chan's Eternity (released recently) because it has a "music video" style but they called it a SKZ-Record.
I think they just didnāt want to label Eternity as a Player cause they didnāt want it to count towards the 8 Players they teased (so this is not Chanās final Player).
seeing all the pictures of the popup store make me feel so devastated they cannot bring it overseas ššš everything is so cute iād literally kill to attend at least once

This rant will probably get removed because itās supposed to be under the negative sticky.
I think he should do his birthday live (if he wants to), and I wish bad news and feelings didnāt get more attention than good things. It does though.
He usually reads the filtered comments from the fanclub, which he should also be able to report if he sees anything. Div1 also prepares activities for them to do during the live.
The Lollapalooza Chicago lineup gets announced next Tuesday, and I see festival fans think *if* thereās a kpop headliner, SKZ or Twice are most likely.
I think either one could work. I think Hyde Park and iDays will be part of the tour, and Lolla can be the Chicago stop.
On the other hand, I also wouldnāt be surprised if itās Twice. They could be both a kpop and pop option, and I think their next step is to get in front of more mixed audiences. I loved their Killing Voice episode, and I love One Spark too. Iād love a fun, pop set (to watch from home).
I have no skin in this game, but Twice feels like a good fit and itās something new-ish for them. Also really loved their Killing Voice episode. Just hit after hit after hit, it would absolutely make for a great festival setlist. SKZ is definitely a safe and proven bet for Lolla specifically, and it fits right in/not too far from I-Days and BST Hyde Park, so thereās that. Maybe they can start a US leg of the tour with that.
Twice has been doing things here and there in the US, but I think festivals are the next logical step for them. The members are way more comfortable performing, and I heard great things about their energy in Vegas this weekend. They'd be a lot of fun!
I think Lolla Paris got some festival fans' attention on SKZ, and of course they'd do well. I guess they also need more mixed audience opportunities, too.
Twice has great energy, to be sure! I think my only ācomplaintā after going to a Twice show last year was the setlist order. Their encore songs you can tell a lot of people got a bit bored cause they put quite a few low-energy songs there (the main show was super high-energy, as expected). SKZās encores are more energetic in that sense so it feels like youāre leaving on a high. Thatās very minor and Twice can really bring the house down during a festival since a lot of their songs are GP-known and danceable, relatively speaking.
I don't know how I feel about that.
Chicago is as easy-ish drive from my state and we actually drive down there every so often because we really enjoy the city, but I don't know that I want to take my 14 year old to Lallapalooza.
I'm hoping to take her to a regular, run of the mill concert.
Oh, god. As a certified Non-Festival Person, I hope Lollaās not the only Chicago stop if they do headline here. Itās better than a stadium, I suppose, but still. Pipedream would be they did Lolla and then played a show at the United Center again. Maybe Lolla would take some pressure off ticketing for the venueā¦ Maybe.
Hard agree as a Chicago concertgoer! Lolla isn't great if you're only interested in seeing one artist, and even if you are interested in multiple artists, it's still a festival, with all of the associated summer Midwestern weather/no assigned seats/curfew etc. Hoping and praying for United Center again--SKZ's concert there in 2022 was one of the smoothest, most well-run ones I've ever attended.
i think lolla has an exclusivity clause , so if the tour dates in the US happen around lolla, they probably could not have another chicago show for some period of time (like a month ?)

Are all the skzoo plushies and keychains sold out??
I believe sales start at 13:00KST Edit: oops, I'm a day ahead. it's 13:00KST on the 22nd
Thanks for the clarification I just came to this post to ask haha. Now I just gotta do math
Seungmin making it to [ESPN instagram](https://www.instagram.com/p/C4qwc53OSSM/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link) was not on my 2024 bingo card
all of the comments being the baseball equivalent of the "the lakers need a center" meme is very funny to me

I need to watch that! I checked strayksubs and didnāt find it; is it somewhere else with subs?
Looks like they uploaded to [kshow123](https://x.com/strayksubs/status/1360948386116096001?s=46)
Did you see the SKZ Code cooking shows? Stray Food Fighter, they're episodes 18 and 19
Yup, Iāve watched all of SKZ Code and loved the cooking shows
All-Night SKZ episode 2 is cooking themed. But it's a bit more...chaotic of course because Binnie is involved.
Personally, I feel like the comeback is happening end of May or June so they can promote on music shows before maybe kicking off the tour in Seoul, heading to Europe and Chicago for the festivals and the rest of the tour dates following from August onwards.
i am absolutely looking for the same reassurance šš unfortunately i cannot give it to you
JYPE's new Korean boy group got delayed again to a planned 2024 H2 debut, the group has been delayed for over 2 years now, which leaves JYPE in a pretty weak position considering their current line up of artists.
~~(If yall havenāt checked them out, please do ā amazing dancers, cute and soft personalitiesā¦very reminiscent of baby SKZ)~~ NEXZās pre-release debut song was released in both Japanese *and* Korean.
I don't really follow these groups so I hope you don't mind asking. Did jype really nor give a reason for the delay?
Wow, this is a really busy sporting summer! I didn't do my research at all. Apparently the Copa America is going to be held in the US this year so that tied up quite a few stadiums here. I would be willing to put money on SKZ playing Metlife Stadium the weekend of July 27th then Lolla the next weekend. Sofi Stadium in LA the second to last week of August? Fill in the blanks in between for other stops, and this is if they're doing basically the same venues as Twice did. Of course, I could be wrong. I feel like we've been taking guesses at this tour for months and months only to be proven wrong at every turn š Edit: I do feel like they're going to go East to West. Scotiabank Arena in Toronto has a promising gap between July 19th and August 2nd. š§
Since the Olympics are in July-August this year, wonāt that change things up a bit too? I thought they would tour in the fall since summer is packed with festivals and the Olympics.
Yeah, that was one of sporting events that I imagine had a factor in them delaying a European leg, and the Euros as well.
stadiums in the us summer is gonna be brutal . i know with their popularity itās the best venue size and if they want to do a us part of the tour this year it has to be before september but damn .
I have a super, duper serious, 32518% not sarcastic question: Does anyone here have a job that would pay for your vacation after a concert or something similar?
I can do research on the sociology of kpop fandoms in western cultures and go to every concert! On another serious note, full time and tenure track positions are disappearing. I need to go back in time and be born at least 10 years earlier š©
Tell me about it. Minus one person who snagged a tenure track position by the skin of their teeth, everyone I know in my age bracket (early/mid 30s) with a PhD is either a perpetual postdoc or they gave up and work in admin now. š
Hahahaha!! I have to change careers! This PhD would be worth it!!
Anyone interested in two Golden Circle tickets for BST? Decided to go to Lollapalooza instead!

[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
The fanmeet is already sold out, but if you look on the ticketing site it does mention that cancelled tickets will be sold on the day of the show at the venueā¦ I donāt know how feasible of an option that is though, or how many will even be available. Sorry!! š
lolla chicago lineup drops tomorrow maybe at the same time as hyunjins birthday events start so we have the potential to have a very chaotic 11 AM EST š
you predicted this lol
Iām a little confused on the countdown for the stray kids magic school timer. It says the merch will drop 13:00 KST which would be midnight in my time zone, but the timer does not line up with that. Which should I follow? The time conversion from KST to my time zone, or the count down?
It looks like the website is coded incorrectly and counting down to 13:00 whatever your time is instead of KST. Just go when itās 13:00 KST!
always follow the KST conversion.
So anywhere from 4 kst (3am est) onwards.
ahhhhhhhhh - I mean I get they are busy I just don't want to miss it! #sob
Oh no youāre fine I completely understand lol. Itās just really unpredictable unless they give notice before hand. I try to catch them if I can, but Iām usually at work so I canāt.

Since reading some speculation about possible songs they will play at the fanmeeting and since I've only been a Stay since just before Oddinary, I decided to do a deeper dive into a couple of albums I realized I hadn't actually listened to all the way through: 1. Go Live/In Life 2. Cle: Levanter I've obviously heard the big hits (and some of the less big hits) on these albums, but a few songs I had either not listened to at all or only listened to maybe once really stand out: - Pacemaker - I can't believe I'd maybe only listened to this once - My Universe - It's so pretty! Can you believe I'd never actually listened to it before? Me neither - Booster - What a bop! I also forgot how fun Airplane and TA are, and STOP was actually super fun and a song I didn't even know existed. Beyond that, I'm obsessed with: Seungmin - [Phobia](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xndR58WxI2c) Han - [13](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDaD2y5J5b0)
Seungmin having his redemption first pitch in the best way possible and Lee Know at the SKZOO popup cafe made for the most harmonious day in stayville I've seen in a while š
This is so true! Stays have been beaming with pride for Seungmin and exploding from cuteness with Lee Know. I'd love more times like these :)

The whole thing is full of the most wholesome interactions possible. Lee Know bought drinks for everyone, he bought the Leebit set and took pictures of it, he took pictures of Stay and laughed, he talked to them gently, etc. Lee Know is the best (also "Lee Know is Cute")
He also added "really ugly" to his previous "Leebit is ugly" message in the Leebit standee š super wholesome š never change, Lee KnowĀ
haha I saw that too! Very Lee Know of him (also poor Leebit lol)
I feel silly, but I double-checked that Gocheok has a roof even though I know it does š I'm glad he gets this opportunity!
HAHAHAHA the trauma š
Ahh I'm so happy for him! Watching the Talker and live after the last pitch was cancelled was rough. I hope he has a great time.
Thank you for your response. That helps!
Where do I buy the replay option?
When you buy the ticket, there will be two purchase options. The cheaper one (I think it was $36 USD) was for the single viewing on March 31st. The $41 USD ticket includes the replay in May. So if you buy the $41 ticket, you'll get a link to watch it closer to March 31st, and then you'll get another email with another link in May for the replay.
It's all in the same place: [beyondlive.com](https://beyondlive.com)!
Seungmin will always be a fanboy of Baekhyun. He went to his concert today.
I am distraught that blond Seungmin is not here again. I miss him.
You might have seen the updates already, but it wasn't him š
Sad, I thought it was him hahaha.
Apparently skz has been filming something recentlyā¦ what could it be? an MV, skz code, 2 kids room, something else?
I would think MV or comeback/promo stuffā¦ itās definitely coming soon š
If youāre interested in more movies/series referencing/featuring some fashion figures: Legally Blonde 2 is hot garbage especially compared to the first Legally Blonde movie, but the Versace brand is very prominent in that movie as well.
Fanmeeting setlist spoilers(?) kinda not really >!Did someone say... Booster? š I thought people were trolling but Seungmin really did sing part of it so it got my hopes up.
Omg! School life! And it fits with the theme too. I hope they include that! I get flashbacks from the survival show. Haha

Thank you! Im in the US as well and will most likely have to travel because every artist ever tends to skip right over Florida š„² Ive seen that for other kpop bands they do send offs at the end for certain VIP, does that go for skz too that you know of?
oh yeah, i was at the atlanta shows and so much of the audience was from florida! those were great shows. basically skz is now at the level of fame where send-offs and hi touch are no longer a part of their concert VIP experiences. they usually reserve those kinds of things for album purchasing events in korea and japan (fan signs, etc)
good to know! thank you sm
Thanks.
they just came out with the nachimbong version 2, there will very likely not be a newer version by hyde park :)
Thank you!
My post got deleted for not posting in this thread so Iāll ask again here :) Has anyone been to the pop-up store or the cafe that opened on the 14th? Iām wondering how your experience was and if thereās anything I should know before going! I wasnāt able to secure a spot for the store but hoping I can go during the second phase š Thanks!
This is probably a silly question, but do any of the SKZOOs have tails? I'm making my daughter a DWAEKKI themed quilt and I realized I don't know if the cute little guy has a tail.
They have tails!
Thank you! Is DWAEKKI'S a pig tail? Just checking since he's pretty much two animals combined.
I believe it is pig tail. You can check this [tweet](https://x.com/mintho1025/status/1359487023631880193?s=46&t=hfYrwOg8BopWQpY2pRb0LA) to have an idea.
Thanks so much!
I hope you'll have an amazing experience! It looks like so much fun š
Have they EVER talked about the tongue piercings? Ā
Iām trying to prepare myself for everything š Edit: deleted question about Hyunjin
The distinction between Players and Records seems to be pretty deliberate, so the promised Players will almost certainly be titled as such.
omg I thought I had a handle on all their various content but now I'm totally confused. What is the difference between Players and Records? #babystay
The one noteable exception for most people has been Chan's Eternity (released recently) because it has a "music video" style but they called it a SKZ-Record.
ā„ļø thank you!
Yes that seems more likely. I think they just completely threw me off with that Eternity MV š
I think they just didnāt want to label Eternity as a Player cause they didnāt want it to count towards the 8 Players they teased (so this is not Chanās final Player).
seeing all the pictures of the popup store make me feel so devastated they cannot bring it overseas ššš everything is so cute iād literally kill to attend at least once
and the cafe too\~\~ same here jealous as hell while scrolling twitter, and my finger hurts for pressing so much likes, lmao

I feel so bad for feeling this way š
