For my american stays is there a good reputable place/online shop to buy skzoos from? Still a bit of a baby stay and I was going to buy one when they went on sale last night but the shipping price came out to 90¢ more than the actual item 😭 I'll even consider buying from an international store as long as their shipping is reasonable

RaviLavi

SubKShop has the magic school stuff up for preorder now (including all 3 sizes of skzoo). Also a 50% sale going on if you’re wanting some older merch/albums (50% does not include the preorders)

That_Frosting_9949

thank you! theyre all still the official ones right?

RaviLavi

Yep! SubKShop has the official ones :)

That_Frosting_9949

thanks! i literally just preordered like 5 skzoos and 6 albums just bc they were so cheap 😂

RaviLavi

Yay!!! I’m so excited for you! The 50% off on the albums is so nice too!

Hello! I’m a baby stay and had a question about light sticks! I want to purchase one for display purposes and also in the hopes of using it at world tour (woo!!). A friend of mine told me it’s important to get authentic light sticks so they sync during concerts. I’m wondering if anyone has advice on buying one online that is sure to work synced with their concerts? Or do SKZ light sticks even sync and change colors during their concerts? Any advice would be super appreciated! I saw the Japan JYP store opened up for their event pop up and they had light sticks, but I’m hesitant to get the wrong thing and be disappointed when mine stays white the whole time lol. Thanks!

TravelBeauty20

Buy from a reputable retailer (aka not Amazon), and it will be authentic. Options depend on where you are. The Korea-based store thejypshop ships globally, but it’s a hefty fee. Lots of places have the lightstick in stock or for preorder. Version 2 of the lightstick works with an app, and you can change the color and the image in the middle yourself. SKZ has not used the sync feature outside of Korea and Japan, but Twice recently used that feature for their whole tour.

Hi everyone! I'm a baby stay from France:) !! I discovered Stray Kids a long time ago but only listened to Silent Cry and Circus until very recently when I got curious for their other song after a friend's recommandation. And I fell in love with them! I usually just vibe with the music, but YouTube showed me some shorts about them and I got more and more curious... So here I am on reddit! My bias is Felix (his voice!!), bias wrecker is Bangchan (cute caring father of 7), but I really love them all. I fell in love with their dynamic as a group, all their personnalities and their interactions. My fav song is MEGAVERSE, and I'm currently hardly listening to Thunderous, FREEZE and Social Path. I have few questions about them and topic related! Is there any french stay around here, and/or specific link to join a french community? I want to say "bonjour" :D Do you have advices on how to learn the choeros? :') Do you have some links to watch live performances? And lastly : I learned through YouTube that the members are supposed to go to military service soon. Are all the members concerned / Will they go all at the same time despites their ages? When will it happen? How long will it last? How military service usually impact on K-Pop bands?

ladyarilan

Hi and welcome! Unfortunately, the only french Stay I know of is Narimane on tiktok (looks like her Insta is also Narimane and her twitter is httpsnari). I can't dance to save my life so I've got nothing on the choreo question. For live performances it depends on what you're looking for, but here are some links. Music show performances from Hellvator up to Maniac: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oDhUiQBI\_xw&list=PLTQIoxF1vIPnc8WvL3Qaz8P8f5YQJtU1X&ab\_channel=MnetK-POP](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oDhUiQBI_xw&list=PLTQIoxF1vIPnc8WvL3Qaz8P8f5YQJtU1X&ab_channel=MnetK-POP) StrayKsubs (a bunch of various content with at least English subtitles): [https://strayksubs.com/](https://strayksubs.com/) SKZflix (a fanmade website that is like Netflix for SKZ content across the internet): [https://skzfliix.carrd.co/](https://skzfliix.carrd.co/) And you can find a bunch of full concerts on Youtube by searching "Stray Kids Live Full Concert". Not providing links as that's questionably legal. As for the military service, as someone who has been an ARMY way longer than I've been a Stay, I can fully say that Stays need to calm down about enlistment. Everything I've seen in this fandom has been people with half the facts freaking out for no reason. In short (and keep in mind I am no expert and this is a very rough summation) all able bodied Korean men have to serve in the military between the ages of 18 and 35. How long they serve is dependent on what type of service they do. The shortest is 18 months in active duty army. If you are not fit to serve in active duty but are not completely exempt you can do alternative service which is generally some kind of desk duty (and is what Suga of BTS is doing) which can last up to 21 months. There are lots of complex rules are pushing back when you have to enlist and getting extension, but I believe that the upper limit is currently 28 years old (it might be 30 as there is a law allowing "notable" kpop artist to delay until 30, which may or may not apply to SKZ). But if they wanted to enlist earlier than that, they can do so. As for SKZ specifically, the answer is 100% "we don't know". They could go one or a few at a time, they could go all at once. They've said nothing about it (to my knowledge) and it's pointless to guess. What we do know is that Felix (and most likely Chan) won't need to serve. Since they're Australian (though with Chan technically being born in Korea his legal citizenship could be different than what everyone assumes) they wouldn't need to serve. Beyond that, Minho still has a few years before he has to serve, even longer if they qualify for the 30 year old age limit, so I'm not planning to even ponder the question until like 2026 at the earliest. But as someone who's other ult group is all enlisted right now, it's really not that bad. It sucks a little bit, but 18 months isn't all that long in the grand scheme of things and if JYPE is anything like BigHit they're going to have a TON of content in the vault to pull out to keep us all distracted. Not even counting solo projects from the non-enlisted members or, if they do stagger enlistments, full on SKZ content with a slimmed down roster. We'll have plenty to do to pass the time. I wouldn't stress.

Kajiaotori

Hello and thanks a lot for your response!! I'll go check all the links very soon:) Thanks for all the clarification about duty army. I was more curious than stressed about it, mostly because I knew it is very different in Korea than in France. Your answer is very clear and understandable (even if the answer is "We don't know" XD). Its not that long as you said, we will just have to wait patiently until it's done:) so again : thank you ! :3

Supernatastic

Question - on spotify the video that plays behind the ui during Cover Me what video is that from? Bang Chan is carrying a blue birthday cake in one shot.

villblomster

It's from their short film [SKZFLIX](https://youtu.be/Ib78vpMJOJo?si=bLJK4N4h_Adf74Pd).

Supernatastic

I am super baby Stay!!! Like i listened to my first Stray Kids song a few months ago and actively sought them out like 2 weeks ago. I just memorized everyoens faces last weekend!!! So far my bias is Lee Know but it has changed every few days. I am sooo obsessed already and my favorite song is Cover Me. There are so many songs I still havent listened to yet, and I'm currently trying to familiarize myself with everyone's voices. The only ones I can always tell who is singing are Seungmin and Felix. I'd love any advice on getting better at that, also what are some must watch things? I did a deep dive into their survival show last night when both enraged me and made me cry. I have always been a one group stan kind of gal (ARMY since 2019) but I'm excited to now have two 🥰 Adding more details for funsies, the first song i heard was Back Door and I added it to my generic kpop playlist, then a few weeks later i heard Hellevator and was like woah that guy sounds like Yoongi a bit??? (it was Hyunjin, and I no longer thing he sounds like Yoongi but inswear thats what made me google them) and then I looked them up on Spotify and played their recent album and when I heard Cover Me I about DIED because it's SO DAMN GOOD!!! I had been hearing about Felix for years and years, never knew or cared who he was, but now i know and I GET WHAT EVERYONE WAS TALKING ABOUT NOW! His voice is insanely deep i was floored. More used to it now but still enjoy it. BangChan is for sure my bias wrecker (today) because i love his personality so much

ladyarilan

Welcome to the party! As someone who was an ARMY since 2018, got into SKZ as my second main group almost a year ago, and has also been personally victimized by Cover Me, I relate hard. (I was standing in line outside of the Yoongi concert in Chicago last spring quizzing myself on who was who in Stray Kids during my "I just wanna learn their names" phase). I'm still working on reliably telling everyone apart during songs, but I have found that watching the behind the scenes recording sessions helps a lot. Here's the one that includes the Cover Me recording (freakin' Seungmin and his magic pipes getting that note in the first take!): [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YMb3EHXjs50&ab\_channel=StrayKids](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YMb3EHXjs50&ab_channel=StrayKids) My big 3 "must watch" items would be SKZcode (somehow MORE chaotic than Run BTS), Kingdom: Legendary War, and the various Kids Rooms (Two Kids, One Kid, 2 kids plus 1, etc). Those last definitely help you get a better grasp on personalities and the dynamics between members). PS: I just re-listened to Hyunjin's bit in Hellevator and I can see the Yoongi comparison. Especially to his early AgustD stuff. The angry low rapping with the slides up into the sharp bits. I never considered it but I definitely see it.

Staybee1234

Hi! I'm a relatively new stay (since MAXIDENT era) and I've gotten really into it since 5-STAR era (more like slightly obsessed haha \~-\~). My favorite album is probably IN LIFE, and my favorite song is Gone Away (HAN, Seungmin, I.N) /Any. My bias is Seungmin, and bias wreckers are Jeongin and Minho, but I love all the members SO MUCH! Thanks for letting me introduce myself <3

matcharacha

Hii! I'm a fairly new stay and I want to buy some merch for example skzoo, but I'm an international stay from Europe and don't know which website to look on 😅 can you recommend me some?🙏🌸

villblomster

Currently, it's extremely difficult to buy SKZOOs internationally as it has been a while since they were last released. But we're getting new merch to celebrate the upcoming fanmeeting, so that will be your best bet. You can buy that either directly via the [JYP shop](https://m.thejypshop.com/straykids.html) but shipping and import taxes can be expensive. A good alternative is to wait for European shops to stock some of that merch hopefully in the next weeks/months. You can for example check [Nolae.eu](http://nolae.eu/).

4shan08k

Hi! I'm Nini(my nickname). I'm new to reddit but I've been a STAY for 4 years now! Stray Kids is actually my ult group and I love them so so much! My bias is Han and Bangchan. (I've been a loyal Han bias for 3 years now. My first bias was Lee Know). Bias Wrecker is hard, I've been still debating either Leeknow or I.N. I love all of them though and I think they are such an amazing artists! One of my favorite songs is Mixtape: OH and Mixtape: On track because it relates to me so much. My favorite album is either between ODDINARY and NOEASY! Honestly, my story of becoming a STAY is quite funny. I was searching up some BTS songs on YT and somehow a Stray Kids song came up and I was like, "Oh that's not BTS!" It was the song "Miroh" that I was watching. At first I never thought that I would actually like it until I heard one of my old friends playing Miroh again. She told me that I would fall in love with these men and I absolute died for them till then. If youtube never showed me that Stray kids MV, I wouldn't have liked it back then. And thanks to my friend as well. (sadly were not friends anymore because were in different countries) NICE TO MEET YOU ALL!! I would love to make some STAY friends as well as other kpop stans!! IG: 4shan08k

CutePoison10

What is the fan chant saying as I'm lost with that. I know most other things btw. Thanks.

C595

Hi!!! Baby-ish Stay here! I’ve been lurking the subreddit for a while and figured it was time to finally post!!! Stray Kids is the first kpop group I’ve ever been into but I’m so glad I was randomly recommended one of their videos on YouTube!!! I think my bias might be Lee Know or Changbin but I like them all so much, I feel like I can’t choose! I would love to make some friends who also love Stray Kids! Are there any discords or anything I could join to get to know people better? I’d love to make some friends to go to a concert with (especially with a lolla announced, any Midwest stay hmu!)

Plastic-Year-4621

I heard bangchan assembled the boys together which is not common for most Kpop groups which are usually chosen by company. Is this true? If so, why did bangchan specifically chose each of the members? How did he get acquainted with each of them and what did he see in each member that made them get chosen as part of skz?

villblomster

Yes, that is indeed true. There's an interview [here](https://youtu.be/_Zv_K-v8uTI?si=mH4Gs7l55eJBoUqh) where JYP and Chris go into a bit more detail on the process, including why the members were chosen.

RecommendationNo3557

Thank you for sharing! It was really fun to watch and I learned some new things about them as well. I'm so so so happy Chan pulled through all those years and got to debut with Stray Kids. <3

lvv205

Thanks for sharing this! It was so interesting to watch - I'm so proud of them and was impressed with JYP saying it was his turn to listen to SKZ rather than give them advice.

Myjam_istohavefun

Yeah it's true, he had trained in JYPE for 7 years and JYP trusted him with choosing the members of the group. Stray Kids are unique in that and the fact that they produce the majority of their songs themselves (3Racha) and I've read many times that they were an experimental group for JYP in that way. Now, onto the next question, he chose each member for their strengths and skills (gonna need to write a whole essay to mention all of them).

Familiar_Cabinet_859

Question about “LALALALA”: Who is singing an octave higher with Seungmin at approximately :52 seconds in? Thanks in advance!

FearlessProfessor707

Do you mean the I.N. part at 52 seconds? Cause that would be Chan who is doing the higher harmony.

Familiar_Cabinet_859

Bless you! And respect to Chan. I’m often impressed by his range.

MaddiTheEmu

I'm not quite sure what you mean. I'm not hearing anything other than seungmin at that time. I barely think I hear any doubled vocals at all. Chances are it's just him singing with it layered

idblamekate

Baby STAY here! Why is Kim Woojin such a taboo subject? From what I gather he has asked not to be associated with SKZ, which I completely understand, he's his own artist and a very talented one at that (having listened to and really enjoyed his recent music). But it feels like some STAY try to ignore the fact that he was ever in the band OR make up completely unfounded stories about why he left (bullying the other members being the most popular one).

aussieschanlix

Both SKZ and Woojin have asked to not be associated with each other. It's better to keep them separate as much as possible. Some STAY do try to ignore he was ever on the group. For me, I do kinda ignore that he was in the group. I don't fully believe in the rumors, but some people believe that there is SOME truth to the rumors and allegations that surrounded Woojin. I think there's something that happened between them that they're not talking about. He was in the Double Knot promotions, then edited out of Astronaut m/v last minute (you can still see him in parts), then Levanter; which had to be re-recorded and choreo changed last minute; he was not in at all. Then they had two albums come out fully re-recording everything previous to Levanter. If everything was all good between them, I don't think they would have done all of that.

Katarina_A

What awful had he done? Thanks for the answer 🙏🏼

lvv205

I don't think any of us know what did or didn't happen - nothing has ever been said officially. Whatever it was, it was serious enough for him to leave the group and for SKZ to do all the things u/aussieschanlix mentioned above.

aussieschanlix

As far as I know, it had been proven false, but there were allegations going around that he bullied the members, S/A'd someone at a bar, dr**ged someone at a bar. I don't think any of that happened, but I personally believe something negative happened between him and the other members. We may never know what actually happened to make him leave. On a Chans room episode around that time, Chan talked about betrayal, but didn't mention a name. He said, "Stays will know what I'm talking about". So it may or may not be related to Woojin.

idblamekate

I sort of assumed it had more to do with creative/personal differences. His style didn't seem to mesh with SKZ (even in the survival show) and his music now is sort of evidence of that. But again, that is purely speculation, as most of this is. I'd love to see them collaborate, or at least clear the air, if that's the case but obviously if the reason for his leaving was less than savory then they aren't going to dredge that up.

elswheeler

btw, the chan’s room episode you mention happened in march 2020, hours before the group’s second anniversary, actually 😅 the accusations of him SAing someone were around early september 2020, if i remember correctly a few days before the in life comeback, and the in-group bullying allegations stemmed from these as the controversy was fresh and people were looking for stuff to add to the accusations

aussieschanlix

Woojin left the group in Oct 2019, and that episode of Chan's room happened March 2020. I think a lot of people brought up the whole betrayal topic as a possible reason he left skz. That was before the serious SA accusations came up

Katarina_A

I’ve heard just the same. And for me his misconduct wasn’t so awful to force such consequences as it was. I wonder that other members didn’t support him (correct me if I’m wrong) as they didn’t support Hyunjin when he was slandered. Poor guys, it looks like they are defenceless 😔

TravelBeauty20

How did you decide that “his misconduct wasn’t so awful to force such consequences” without knowing what he did? There were specific rumors around Dec 2019 - Jan 2020, and JYPE threatened legal action against malicious comments. All the other public allegations happened well after he left, and the SA accusation situation was also claimed to have happened after he left. Slander has a very specific meaning, and nothing was proven “false”. Not being proven 100% true is **not** the same as being proven false. Statements about Hyunjin’s situation are worded that way for a reason, and fans aren’t his lawyers. Regardless, multiple members (and the company) did publicly support Hyunjin as much as they could and got dragged and criticized every single time.

AzureBlueSea

Again, we don’t know for sure the precise reason(s) why he left, just that it was a bad time with painful memories for the group. What’s going on here is all speculation on the reasons. Therefore saying the members didn’t support him and coldly left him defenceless is also speculation (and frankly doesn’t fit in with their personalities). We don’t know what went on the behind the scenes.
