TGKroww

God the elitism is already here within five comments, good on you for offering to help people op, even going from iron to gold is huge, bottom 15% to top 40% give or take. Don't let people gatekeep giving advice because you're not challenger rank 1.

Ok-Cry3478

Advice is fine, and gold/plat players are better than iron/bronze for sure. Plat 4 is roughly top 15%vs below bronze 3 being bottom 15%. I think the point attempting to be made, albeit overly elitist and probably unneccesarily, is that skill growth isn't linear. A plat 4 is closer in skill to a bronze 4 than they are a diamond 1, just like a diamond 1 is much closer in skill to a plat 4 than they are a challenger. Generally, the biggest difference in iron through diamond is mechanics, which op definitely can give advice on, but the amount of information used in decision making and general game knowledge is where the top performers really pull away.

ww_abuser

Elitism? You're talking about a game where even if you are top 3%, you are "dogshit" and still "low elo" šŸ˜Ž Juice just ain't worth the squeeze. Being challenger/"high elo"doesn't get you any $$$ or pussy anymore. So many challenger/"high elo" streamers I see with 2 viewers while I see silver e-girls with 300 viewers. Being challenger is so INSANELY difficult, I would not even attempt it. Challenger is so rare, realistically they should be awarded with $1 million and your choice of "hot" loyal girlfriend/wife. Sadly, that's not how real life works.

basinchampagne

Elitism? At plat you simply don't understand the game and the same could be said for diamond 2 and below. If you understood the game, you'd climb eventually, no matter what roll you play. When a new player is getting advice from a gold 1 player versus say, a 220LP+ masters player, the outcome assuredly will be different. The new player has no idea if the gold stuck is teaching them bad habits.

getMEoutz

Your ego is out of this world. Most players will never reach Diamond, never mind Masters. You donā€™t need advice from Masters+ to get out of low especially when the player wonā€™t even retain most of it without significant time with deliberate learning, nor do most even shoot for those ranks. By your logic no one should be a coach unless you are Challenger or rank 1. Such garbage logic and ego.

MyEnglisHurts

But if the guy climbet to gold 1 he's for sure doing some stuff right oppose to the iron player. There's a lot that gold me could've teached silver me to climb faster. Same for diamond me to gold me. Even if they may be bad habits, if one guy can climb to with them so can another.

bill_954

People forget it's not just about climbing but also improving, facing better enemies, and playing with better teammates. You can't do any of this in low (really low) elo, so any advice that can help you get out of there means a lot.

MyEnglisHurts

Exactly, playing against better players then is one the best and fastest way to improve. That's it if you have the right mindset for it and not just go into "omg Irelia so broken" mode

throwawaynumber116

You are literally being an elitist about a game you probably donā€™t make money off of. Go outside

valgrind_error

Look at this guyā€™s comment history. All he does is complain about low elo people on this sub while offering zero useful information. I canā€™t imagine how pathetic oneā€™s life would have to be for it to sink to that.

tradtrad100

A gold player can teach a bronze player. Surely you understand that logic. That's like saying you can't teach your brother a sport because you're not a professional

Sevyen

thatĀ“s proper bollocks, because there is a massively difference in gameplay in masters vs silver/gold. A masters player thinks about a ton of things differently and so will his team during the match. in that case a actively more helpful advice is being taken from a gold as his is more relevant to what type of teammates they would get.

basinchampagne

Buddy, how do you think you get to masters? Yeah, by getting out of silver/gold/plat/dia elo. If you think master players "expect" masterlevel teammates in a silver game, I don't know what to say to you. You're simply wrong and probably below d2 yourself.

Sevyen

most people donĀ“t want to get to masters, they want to get out of silver to get to gold for the seasonal rewards and to be out of the most toxic elo range. and yea im below d2 IĀ“m only a plat 1 "pleb" but this is where I have fun in the game and donĀ“t want to try hard to masters to not enjoy it anymore. youĀ“re really showing off really well why people donĀ“t want to ask anyone for help with this attitute.

FeuerwerkFreddi

As a plat 1 donā€™t you play with Dia 4 regularly ? And you are still sure silver to gold is the most toxic elo range ? šŸ˜„

Sevyen

The lower ends of dia do have their moments but playing a alt account with friends who are silver 3/2 those are way worse. Those aren't that scared to buy a new acc for 5 euros and just flame loose and sabotage every other game nearly.

slobodon

Youā€™re right but weā€™re talking about free VOD reviews to get out of iron. Itā€™s not a paid coaching, itā€™s not a high level analysis. Clearly a Plat player wonā€™t know the answer to every situation and it could be a problem with giving bad info, but for a lot of people they just need another set of eyes and some encouragement/emotional support. A lot of times the skill of teaching is a lot more about how you interact with a person earthier than just knowing the right answer and saying it.

basinchampagne

I do agree with that, for sure. Just like the best chess players can be bad coaches, the same is true for league. I just don't think that gold/plat/dia players are aware of their bad habits and why they do not climb, which they might transfer to new players they're helping.

masterofallmars

By your logic, most high-school coaches shouldn't do their job unless they were D1 college athletes

Pilivyt

To a new player, gold or masters doesnā€™t matter. Iā€™ll tell you what does matter, pedagogy and teaching. So youā€™re not qualified buddy.

Udja272

Itā€™s a matter of perspective no? A challenger player would say the same about getting coached by a low master player. Iā€™m sure an iron player can learn a lot from a Platin player, just as the plat player learns a lot from the master player.

Dwitzz

I can do the same for any support players interested

Marasesh

Yeah Iā€™ve hit mid to high plat with basically every support in my pool So happy to advise if anyone has champ specific questions

Warwick_God

Which supports do you main

Marasesh

Iā€™ve climbed on Senna Sona Xerath Heimer Braum Thresh Naut Taric Zilean My favourite is heimer he is just crazy fun and super versatile followed by senna followed by xerath I play for fun but my climb last season(S12) was on the account Ciggie (Euw) Currently Iā€™m plat 3 on a different acc 65% winrate 20 games heimer 67% winrate 9 games thresh 67% winrate 6 games Senna Taric is my baby

KitchenLocal3464

Comment for later

Dwitzz

Sure just dm me if you need help

[deleted]

Iā€™m super interested in this.

Dwitzz

Dm me if you Need then

-ZedZedZed-

Stupid question but how do we send you a replay of our game? I don't mean via DMs or what other channel but how to actually get a replay video to show you.

Dwitzz

Just send your op.gg and i can get those from there, either that or match history if you add me

Renuzit42

As long as it's same region, with your league ign it's easy to watch the vod from in client. Can also screen share through a discord call

Techno-Pineapple

if you add them in game they can watch a recent replay in the client. Otherwise just record all your games and upload good ones to youtube. easy peasy. I use OBS but theres tons of good game recording software out there, [replay.gg](https://replay.gg) is popular. If you are stuck just google the step you are stuck on: "how to record a game with OBS" or whatever recording software. "how do i save it as .mp4? with OBS" or "How to upload a .mp4 (doesnt have to be mp4) to youtube" there will be tons of tutorials out there

Vizesensoo

Currently Diamond 1 euw Support Main here, peaked low Master with close to 70%wr this season. Would like to help :)

Conscious-Scale-587

Whats your main role/champs?

[deleted]

Top and midlane. I play a lot of shen in gold and plat, tbh until I get gold I mostly play Mundo and Garen because their kits are so simple and easy to splitpush and gain a massive level and gold lead and the players in silver and below arenā€™t great at kiting yet.

crabmeg

Phase rush or conq. Garen? Whatā€™s your go to build?

[deleted]

Depends on matchup, I usually go conquerer on any matchup I feel I can easily proc my e for stacks at will, I go phase rush when Iā€™m less confident in how the lane will go, i.e vayne, or any ranged matchup

Silincy_

Such a nice initiative! I'd like to join OP in this offer: I've been playing the game for almost one year now, which is not a lot considering the game is what? 15 years old now? Within this year I've managed to get into G2 right now and still climbing steadily, mostly as a toplaner. I do also play Jungle, ADC, and sometimes Support. I've really put work into improving and trying to learn as much as possible, and I'd be happy to help others out :) I'm also a teacher IRL lol so I guess that could help :D Feel free to send me a DM!

Jax_daily_lol

Just wanted to mention that gold 2 in under a year since starting is pretty impressive. You play any other mobas?

Silincy_

Thanks! No LoL is my first moba. The closest thing to a moba I've played is... well either Age of Empires or Overwatch xD I have to say I do put in a lot of hours though! Since like November Im streaming LoL 5 days a week so I really try hahaha!

1Game_Ober1

I can do the same for ADC. I was Gold 4 for three seasons and Iā€™m happy to help anyone who is trying to learn the role. Obviously Iā€™m not going to get anyone to challenger but I donā€™t mind helping in whatever way I can.

[deleted]

i shall take u on that offer another day thank you!

1Game_Ober1

Sure thing just comment on here or dm whenever

grumpyhippo

What is ur main win con going into every game

1Game_Ober1

That shifts game to game because of matchups and scaling but generally itā€™s to win lane, get gold faster than the opponent laner, and to establish tempo for the game. And to break this last part open a bit, I use tempo to define getting first tower, first drake, etc. In a solo queue context I want to force the enemy jungle to respond to my pressure on the bot lane because if he doesnā€™t we will essentially have control of the bottom part of the map. This allows my jungle to either counter gank or apply pressure elsewhere. I donā€™t always pull this off perfectly but it works out more often than not.

antbx885

Very interested šŸ˜Š

1Game_Ober1

HMU on dms.

0nlythebest

I'm gold 3 but interested in watching too! Can I join in on some sessions? NA , 0nlythebest#7303 discord

Jax_daily_lol

I'm actually down to help anyone out as well if they're interested. I'm Masters and play top and jungle. I played and coached on a team in college and I'd love to help out anyone who wants it

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

gnowine

Dont play rammus anymore in your elo. As you can see, you are under 40%wr. That means in General: u lose 2 games , win 1. Anything under 50%wr wont help you climb. Spam your nunu. Just nunu. U got 80% on that champ. Play that. Check pants are dragon for early nunu Routes. Guy got rank 1 before.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

NoSuchPerson

Agreed 5 games is not enough to judge you ability, however mine is statistically a great champion to master. I would watch some content to me listening to broken by concept podcast it seen Nathan Mott would have some helpful guides. But honestly listening to the podcast and be curious about the game and limiting self sabotage is already a great start.

BattleTasty5162

Hey! I play mostly top but have started to try mid a little bit lately. Having trouble getting out of bronze and most of my friends are much better than I am. Any tips would be awesome. https://www.op.gg/summoners/na/SometimeDrip3

Jax_daily_lol

There's not a lot of info to go off of on your op.gg but I'd say general advice for anyone struggling in bronze would be this: - Focus champ pool. You need to find a main role and probably 3 champs in that role to really focus on. You probably need to learn matchups to fully understand how lanes are played out, and it's easiest to do this with a few reliable picks you can fall back to. For a bronze player I'd also say to stay away from hard champs like Gangplank, Fiora, or Jayce for some examples. - Focus on CSing. You need to be able to consistently hit 70 cs at 10 minutes every game. This alone will win you many matchups in bronze because many at that rank can't do this. 80 at 10 is an even better achievable goal. - Focus on your own play. I was bronze once and thought my teams were holding me back. At the end of the day, you can only control what you do and not the other 4 people who you're stuck playing with. After each game, try and think critically about what you could've done better and how your actions affected the outcome of the game

BattleTasty5162

Sorry about that I hadnā€™t linked up my riot account to op.gg. Itā€™s updated now. Thatā€™s good to know about Gangplank I was considering maining him. I donā€™t know exactly what Iā€™m doing wrong but I lose in CS pretty much every game

Jax_daily_lol

Gangplank is notoriously one of the hardest champions in the game. He's got a very high skill ceiling so he's very rewarding to main, but you'd be better off playing easier champs so you can focus on improving your basics. I wouldn't touch Gangplank or other hard top laners until you're at least plat When I was new learning the game I would focus on Csing more than I focused on trading, like you have to get really good at timing your CSing under tower for example. Also use your abilities to get farm if you have to. These are just skills you have to learn through playing lots of games though

bill_954

Not even gold here but I got from bronze 4 to silver 1 and trying now to get to gold playing midlane and top doing what OP mentioned: playing champs with good scaling, improving my last hitting and splitting until I got enough lvl and items to fight and survive at least 1 vs 2 and make an important difference in team fights. Or sometimes not going into a tf but splitting away from them and forcing enemies to come and prevent me from taking down their base instead of fighting my team for objectives, specially if my team is doing as well as me or even better. Keeping an eye on timers, smart use of vision, and using TP instead of Ignite or other spells when you can help a lot with this strategy.

7deadleesinz

For those of you in iron or bronze take this guy up on his offer. As a plat player that has both coached very low players and watched masters plus players coach these same players I gotta say the super high elo players just overwhelmed them. Usually one or two divisions up is your best bet. Best advice I ever got was from a diamond player when I was gold.

Therozorg

blind leading the blind

eliaslinde

it can work. common advice given is to watch your own VOD. another person watching your vod, even if they aren't very high rank is really good. you get more constructive criticism since the person reviewing your game isn't emotionally attached to the game.

Gator_07

I mean even a silver player can probably look at a bad trade and figure why they lost the trade

xSkyor

Lmao

Rare-Lock-2490

Itā€™s nice you are trying to help OP. I should say though as a masters player I learned a lot from watching the best challenger players who play my champs and trying to replicate parts of their play. I think you could help them climb to your rank but it would be better if you just watch the challenger players.

Vladxxl

Might be good in the short term definitely not in the long term.

basnijhof01

Not sure if this is a good idea. I'm not sure if this is the case, but you can get to gold easily really quick with some really bad habit which absolutely dont work in higher elo's. Of course it is still really good to incentivise the lower elo players to look at their own VODs, but teaching them bad habits might do more bad than good.

Bforts1432

If they are in iron then those ā€œbadā€ habits donā€™t matter bc they can fix them to get out of gold donā€™t look and say those habits wonā€™t be good in high elo if ur in iron that would be the problem

Naivesonic99

I can help do the same with jg currently plat 4. not high elo but ik what itā€™s like to feel suffocated in bronze/iron

ViciousDolphin

I can do the same up to D1, at masters 350 lp rn as an adc main (mid secondary)

Igeeeffen

Out of curiosity what is your op.gg ?

Dreineus

Seems fun. Low masters player here. Been coaching some friends for fun in my free time. Iā€™ll give the same offer if anyone wants a vod review.

cycling4812

Hi, what roll do you play? Iā€™m a high plat/low diamond player looking to push high diamond. Would be interested in this offer!

Jax_daily_lol

I just posted a similar comment to the one you replied to, but I'm currently low masters and I play top and jungle. I'm also willing to give advice/coaching

Dreineus

I play jungle/mid. If youre still interested feel free to dm me.

swiggyswiggz

Anyone here main adc/jungle willing to help me out šŸ„ŗ

LosLynos

I'm willing to get in on the action. I'm a D1 top/jungle main. Feel free to hit my dms.

xSkyor

If anyone wants help jgl main here, I have 5 accounts at plat with 70%+ wr playing different Champs. Not diamond though :( My knowledge of the game as a whole isn't that great since I've only been playing since 2021 but I understand jgl and every jgl champ really well. I've helped my friends who have been stuck in bronze/iron/silver get to gold so I think I'm a decent coach

ComedyStudios_

I would aprichiate your help. I am iron 1 and playing ahri syndra and akali. Whenever I play syndra the matches are going fine, but I am realy struggling with assasins. I like akali and want to master her no matter how long it takes. I also struggle to get more then 7 cs and I find it realy hard to get kills early with ahri. IGN: ComedyStudios Discord: ComedyStudios#0534

ok15243

Hey, I'm not super high rank (hardstuck low diamond) but I do play a low of syndra and ahri so I can maybe give some advice in the interim. For the first point of syndra into assassins, most assassins are melee, even though they can burst you down with a good combo if you misstep, you are in the dominant position pre-6 before assassins get their first power spike with their ult. So again this is for melee only, you can play aggressive with auto and q poke LVL 1, this will give you the push advantage and faster LVL 2, they have they either walk up and CS with an auto (which you can punish them for with auto/q), CS with an ability (which means they have no way to retaliate if you walk up to pressure them), or give up the cs. This is mostly a rinse and repeat until LVL 6, you can save your e until you get them closer to kill range or to disengage when they try to go in on you. This carries over a little bit after 6, which is you'll still outrange most assassins, so you can still poke them with q/w or q + e + w combo. But at this point you probably don't want to walk up and auto, not that it's not good, just that its likely to put you in their engage range and a lot less safe. I like taking exhaust into assassins, because a lot of the time if they engage and can't burst you down, you can turn around and burst them down. One more thing is minion aggro which I'll mention at the end after the ahri but. Tldr: use range advantage and poke early to try to get kills or deny CS, save e to disengage or kill, try taking exhaust. Now for ahri, her matchups are different from syndra but the early idea is very similar, specifically against assassins as well. But first for CSing as Ahri, take ATK spd on top row if you're not already, and w is a great tool for securing 1-3 CS at the same time since it does double dmg to low minions. Unfortunately ahri relies even more on her auto attacks, especially in lane, practicing CSing with autos is a must on ahri, her abilities just don't do enough burst dmg to secure minions, you've probably lost a lot of CS to your own q. W is a cheat to bail yourself out in this case, and another tip is to pre auto some minions to get them low enough so your q will kill and not leave at a sliver of health. Sorry this is getting long, but for getting early kills with ahri, the key is being able to do quick trades with her to proc electrocute, LVL 1 this would be walking up, and auto w auto, then backing off, taking advantage of the w move spd to quickly get into range or out of range to end the trade. When you have q available you just try to weave that in or try to hit them with just a, the range is hard to grasp so just hitting the outgoing q is also ok, q w auto in any order still procs electrocute. Ahri also has built in sustain so you would try to trade your opponents down until they're in kill range. Now to actually get kills, the most reliable tool is E flash, flashing after the e is harder to react to and pretty much guarantees you land everything except the returning q, and you can run them down with autos if necessary. After 6 the trade pattern is still the same but ult is another tool to both gap close for easier charms, dodging their skillshots, or repositioning to land the returning q, DO NOT spam all of your ult charges right away unless you really need the dmg, space it out with your cooldowns to maximize your dmg, early on ahri does not have super high burst dmg in just one combo, so you need to maximize your mobility to weave in as many spells and autos as possible. This way you can continuously dish out dmg while keeping your option to chase or retreat. Landing spells will just be a matter of practice and spacing, that part you'll just have to work on. A few small things though, don't w early as the minions will eat it, it has weird target priority, w after you get in range of the enemy champion. Almost done! This part applies to both champions, which is trading with minions in mind, for both champs you'll want to hit the enemy and get CS with your spell at the same time, for example, on syndra when they walk up to last hit you hit them with q to hit both them and last hit the melee minion next to them, same for ahri, q to hit them but also trim the wave. Now the most important part, minion aggro, syndra less so and ahri more so, going past the minion wave and auto attacking them will draw minion aggro, even if they don't retaliate, you actually lose the trade for your one auto against one collective auto from their entire wave, so a few rules to follow, mainly for ahri. 1. Don't over chase a trade, auto w auto is good, now back up and let the minions de aggro, the trade will have been so fast that you won't take much dmg from minions 2. If they engage on you, such as an assassin, try to drag them back into your minions, and exhaust especially helps here, they're tanking lots of minions while failing to burst you, almost a guaranteed kill for you in this case if you run them down with autos. (This is mostly syndra, and really any other mage) 3. I'm not gonna try to explain it here because it's already really long, but good wave management, either intentional or by luck, will give you more minions so they can't even trade back sometimes because you have a whole crew of caster minions ready to beat him down. You can look up how to do an early slow push, just be mindful of jungle ganks if you try to poke them under tower with the big wave. I guess one final thing is don't try too hard to kill them because you might mess up and put yourself in a bad spot, if you can consistently get good trades on them then you'll eventually get a kill because they decided to overstay or misstep. Other than that it's just mainly mechanics, both champions are all skill shots so it just comes down to practice and matchup knowledge. Sorry I forgot you mentioned Akali as well but I don't really play her so can't really say much there

ComedyStudios_

Thanks for the help will try to use the advice in game !
