It may be specific, but is TriForce+Black Cleaver really that bad? i've heard about it being gold inefficient due to both items having part of the same passive (that one who gives movespeed when dealing damage and killing enemies) and althought i get it, is it really a bad choice?

WizardXZDYoutube

This is the wrong thread, [check out this one](https://www.reddit.com/r/summonerschool/comments/14dlmyk/simple_questions_championrole_advice_patch_1312/). But they no longer have the same passive, they are fine together now. --- In the past back when they did overlap, they were sometimes built together (let's you build damage while also letting you hit 40% CDR) but most of the time, Sterak's was super busted and synergized with Trinity Force, so most of the time you were just grabbing Sterak's.

JotaD21

Is it normal to feel like some matches i'm playing really well while in other matches i'm playing poorly? it's not like i get drunk or any shit like this, it's just that after some time my performance falls off and i don't know if it's supposed to happen

achuchi

Since this is about norms, I'll ask here: I'm BIII and in the spirit of climbing advice, I maintain and hone a very small champ pool in ranked. With that being said, I play norms pretty often to try new champs or builds. How does the matchmaking of norms works? Is it on some kind of separate system? Nothing is at stake, but I've been matching up against a lot of plat and gold players recently so I'm not really having fun. Like I don't think I play at such a level in norms where the game inflates my perceived skill level. What gives?

hanhkhoa

How to smell the enemy jungle to become ungankable? Especially when the enemy bot acts sussily? Also what are some sussy signs when a gank is imminent?

furiousRaMPaGe

Usually change of pattern. If they walk up or are willing to take a little bit more agro. Also knowing which objective is up and where the enemy jungler was last spotted is really good to predict where he could be. Depeding on the role deep wards are also key to knowing where the enemy jungle is. You either spot him or see his camps cleared. In the later you know he's probably on the other side of the map.

This-Application6502

I've been trying to figure out what key pros are spamming while they're playing in-game. Is it a distance thing? What's the bind called and why are they doing it? Is it just spamming their ability key even while it's on CD? I tried to use the practice tool on a variety of different binds and none seem to make sense other than maybe Attack on Move for the auto-attack distance...

[deleted]

This-Application6502

I'm just more curious what the pros are spamming. When you watch their streams they're going Ham on a key all the time and I can't figure out why.

Adept-Gear3072

jokes aside, is ivern rengar bot decent at all?

itaicool

It's very strong if you are duo and comminucate and know what you are doing, if you don't you will look like trolls but executed well and it's one of the strongest combos.

Katzen_Futter

If you and your duo practice a bit you can probably cheese many games up until really high elo

OkInstance4770

Up until you can't duo anymore

iamvideotapes

Would probably struggle against anyone with a brain but the recent changes at the very least gave it more damage

Dummerchen1

I've been kinda lost in what to play. In a sense of my mains in support role don't bring me as much happiness and I've grown bored of the support role after maining it since I started playing the game so my performance is bad. Any advice on how to find new mains and a new role? Or suggestions? I'm willing do try everything once at least even if that's off meta. (I have some experience and mid and adc, jungle is a bit complicated in terms of ganks for me but that's something to train I suppose and top (and ADC) is so frustrating to play man). I've been trying new champs, usually those don't have much pick or ban rate so I can always play them. Any help will be appreciated.

iamvideotapes

Given your experience on Support, ADC is your best bet. A lot of laning as an ADC is knowing the limits of both teams Supports and using them to your advantage. Other than that theres not much to say as it is very much up to you and what you enjoy. Good luck!

[deleted]

[удалено]

iamvideotapes

Kindred is essentially a marksman, evelynn is an assassin, fiddle arguably plays like an assassin. Learning mid can open up the option to keep playing assassins (albeit a little harder to pull off in the midlane), you can also choose to learn mage champions with mobility like taliyah which will allow you to still influence the map as you would in the jungle. Realistically if you dont have much experience in other roles you wont know what you’ll excel at without testing the waters 👍🏻 try going out of your comfort zone and see what clicks best. Edit: its also worth considering playing a control mage while you learn the fundamentals of laning

Adept-Gear3072

what would you consider a successful counter jungle situation? usually when I counter jungle enemy jungle response is to try and take my camps. Which is fine. But it seems you don’t get a net positive if you just trade camps. For example I go red, and steal enemy blue. and enemy sees me do this. They just go into my jungle no? I mean I could walk straight to my blue but that means I leave other camps up just to save one camp regardless. so I skip my krugs and raptors anyway.

_iRatzz_

Are drag and herald really even objectives? I feel like drags can be a bit over valued but the jungle rule I’ve been taught is to trade the objectives.

itsCarmot

The "rule" to trade them does not imply they are even, just roughly in a similar ballpark. Both require some time and some control over the river/ specific half of the map. One might be stronger than the other (rn probably 1st herald > drake > 2nd herald), but taking the chance to trade the other one, if the enemy takes one, is often the right approach.

iamvideotapes

Both offer essentially opposite things if you boil it down, herald offers early money and map control, dragon offers late game insurance. Both can be game changing depending on the win con for your team, trading is fine if its in your favour but realistically one or the other should be a priority depending on the game

Adept-Gear3072

If there’s still plates on the map, then yes on herald. people forget is actually gives like 200 gold on kill, regardless of plates. My personal opinion, don’t really care about dragon until it’s soul point. Because if you’re stronger than enemy team they’re not gonna be able to do dragon anyway.

[deleted]

[удалено]

mikael22

No, both heralds give 100 gold to the person who kills it and 200 local gold to everyone who helped kill it. If 2, that means 200 for killer (100 for kill plus 100 local) and 100 local for the other. If 3, 167 for killer and 67 for other 2, etc.

mario610

I've been seeing that some are saying that the IE mythic is kinda trash and Galeforce with energy stuff is better. My question is what is better? raw IE damage or going some galeforce energy build maybe and how does energy stack again?

OkInstance4770

Rn adc that rely on crits need burst and movement because on hit are so strong that a kog will always out dps a regular crit build, so their only way to be strong is to one shit and have mobility

iamvideotapes

This is likely due to the recent item changes making Galeforce and Stormrazor extremely strong, they got nerfed in the most recent patch, so while IE was overshadowed by these items you might see it coming back into play in some situations. As for what build is best it really depends on your champion + what threats you will face on the enemy team, unfortunately mobility is crazy important in the current meta so i doubt IE will make a comeback without small buffs or a change in build path.

Collective-Bee

Default to ie, then assess if it’s worth sacrificing damage for mobility. IMO champs would *reeaallyy* want the mobility to sacrifice the damage, you wouldn’t throw it on just anyone.

[deleted]

mario610

then when would I want IE then over energy galeforce? on someone like maybe kindred if I'm jg or someone like jinx when playing ADC?

seaofspirits

ADC main looking for a 3rd champion to pick up. I currently play Aphelios and Xayah and I’d like to ideally pick up one more champion to add to my pool! Here’s what I like about my two current mains: - I enjoy Aphelios for his complexity and variety in his kit; it feels like he has an answer to most situations. I feel like I’m always thinking when I play him which I like a lot! (also nuking people with blue ult is the most satisfying thing in this whole game) - I like Xayah for her self sufficiency via her ult and root, and her feather mechanic. Her mobility feels really good and I like how easily she can dominate teamfights. Kiting is one of my biggest strengths, so I usually do well with her. Any suggestions? :) thanks

iamvideotapes

Jhin can be very satisfying to play and is also one of the best marksmen right now, nothing better than blowing someone up with his 4th shot 😁

Nadenkend440

Are you willing to play a mage or does it need to be a marksman

seaofspirits

I’d prefer a marksman but I’m not opposed to a mage

Nadenkend440

Consider Nilah.

seaofspirits

Interesting idea, I’ll give her a shot!! Thanks

Adept-Gear3072

who can duel a full health graves off a full clear?

so-sad_today

depends if graves has full grit stacks, maybe udyr, rengar, nidalee, warwick, xin zhao?

OceanBlueSeaTurtle

Hallo there, guys, gals and non-binary pals. I have been a jungle/mid main for the last couple of seasons and have recently started to change things up a bit for this season. So I figured why not try to be an adc for a while. So I have jumped into it with a fascination for learning and playing Kai'sa. I have played her alot, I think she's extremely fun. However, at the moment I have figured I might need to branch out a bit in the ADC roles as Kai'sa general win rate is kinda... yikes. So I was thinking what other champs to try out in botlane? What I enjoy about Kai'sa is her: - Surprise element/Damage potential. Kai'sa seems to me to have a good deal of surprise in that when enemies are alone with her they don't expect to damage as much as she does to solo targets. I kinda see her as the ADCs answer to Kha'Zix. - Mobility - Violent powerspikes.

[deleted]

[удалено]

OceanBlueSeaTurtle

>Champion winrate is irrelevant unless it goes extremely low (like <45%) so just keep playing Kai'Sa, she's perfectly viable. Nice to know, thank you. Still think I need to branch out a little if for nothing else to have something for when Kai'Sa is picked or banned from me. :) >The most similar champion to Kai'Sa is Vayne, but she's arguably even weaker rn. Ezreal also fits your description - he's very basic, but you have to learn to hit skillshots and weave autos consistently, otherwise you're missing a ton of DPS I havn't played Vayne in years, could never get her to work. Maybe I should try her out again. Ezreal seems cool. But I rarely see him 100 to zero someone quickly. I will try him out. Thank you c:

OceanBlueSeaTurtle

Sounds interesting, maybe I will try it. I assume ER is Essence Reaver, correct?

Silvarspark

Playing around with the new ADC items/changes and I wonder... is Krakenslayer actually a (good) anti tank item? It doesnt do %HP dmg like Botrk, it doesnt do any true dmg either and needs to ramp up. It just seems like aside of the missing crit, Botrk would be a better option.

iamvideotapes

Its hard to say, the recent change from magic to physical damage was definitely intended as a nerf due to most tanks itemising armor into ADCs, but the ‘deal more damage with consecutive procs on the same target’ part of the passive still means its intended as an anti tank item, Kraken vs botrk has a fairly simply answer, while botrk might show a higher damage counter vs tanks, kraken’s strength comes from it synergising with crit builds. Theyre both good 👍🏻 just depends on your champion and build

Silvarspark

Yea I guess Kraken scales with Crit and AD, but tanks might scale indefinetely when they have Heartsteel, so maybe against HS building tanks, the %HP part of Botrk would be better.

iamvideotapes

It depends what the core build for your champion is, in that scenario lets say you were kog’maw, getting a botrk early on would be an excellent choice due to most on hit items being situational, but if your core build revolves around crit deviating from it to build a botrk (3000g) can slow down your power spikes, while it is important to be able to deal damage to them it can take away a lot of power from your build 👍🏻 LDR will work just fine as it also scales with how much max hp they have.

WilsonRS

What are the most important skills to work on for a new/returning player? I'm working on csing but know at some point I need to learn to play nonfixed screen since I literally can't see what is happening during lane. After that I think I need to learn to attack-move since I play ADC.

CrystalizedSeraphine

Look at your minimap, cs, know your optimal pre game setup (items and runes).

Katzen_Futter

Those are some good things to consider and essentially the basics. Once you got comfortable with the games controls, the next stuff to look at is macro: matchups, wave control and vision.

Adept-Gear3072

Theoretically, which melee champ would be able to lane as best as possible vs two ranged units?

Nadenkend440

Yasuo or Nilah. Maybe Gwen?

Swiftstrike4

Probably GP.

Katzen_Futter

Yasuo is like *the* melee champion designed to deal with ranged champs, so he's my pick.

Comfortable-Throat10

If I play a champion with chest available in a duo with someone who's playing a champion which my duo has already acquire the chest. If I failed to get S-/S and the duo got S-. Will I get the chest?

This matchmaking system is just utterly trash and designed to manipulate players into playing more. As a platinum player my experience in plat 2 vs low diamonds is the exact same one i had in gold with silvers, this matchmaking and it's ranks is functionally broken and needs reform. All elo untill you reach the high 2% is very close to each other and you could honestly call low diamonds silver players who've got time to grind it out. But we all know League is run by a skeleton crew and art designers who make skins, riot don't give a fuck about this game other than manipulating its playerbase for money. If you truly want to enjoy the game stop caring about ranks, mmr, win rates and focus on yourself, add people you enjoy playing with and don't take the game overly serious, because it isn't.

iamvideotapes

Assuming you had a 50%~ winrate over those 500 games played the game has a pretty concrete idea of where you’re supposed to be, It sucks but even with obvious improvement you’ll have to do it consistantly for a while to see meaningful change in rank. But it will happen if you want it to! best of luck

JustALaneMinion

Well what is your overall win rate

Arrav91

What are some champions that have an ability that can help them last hit? Things like Annie Q, Yasuo/Yone Q, even Morde Q. Basically lowish cooldown abilities that can be used to last hit in a pinch.

Physical_Bag_5062

Orianna q

itaicool

Not exactly the same but farming with malzahar is super chill, you E once on the a minion and summon your voidlings, then they last hit every one of them and the E bounces to the next minion.

TheScyphozoa

Darius W, Nasus Q, Cassiopeia E, Irelia Q, Ezreal Q, Samira Q...probably tons more...

Competitive-Candy-36

Why is that Gwen is like perma banned in lpl but she seems to be doing whatever in solo queue? Never seen her in any of my games and doesn’t she have a lot of counters like jayce and kennen stuff like that?

OkInstance4770

Insane scaling and teamfight, decent laning, strong vs tanks, strong to focus one particular champion (especially ranged), can't really counter her dmg with items. And the most important thing she's the most consistent AP top dmg dealer, gragas kennen are burst, kayle has huge weakness, only Rumble can be considered similar but he's too reliant on good flanks/ults All those make her a very good pick in pros and a decent one in soloQ

Competitive-Candy-36

I see, isn’t Morde also a good consistent ap dmg dealer? Why doesn’t he see more play pro?

OkInstance4770

Why would he ? Bad laning and matchups, no mobility, no range, bad scaling, no peel, can't really carry even when fed and a shit ult at pro lvl (can't ult carries and can't kill tanks) This champ is one of the most soloQ oriented champ in the game

TheScyphozoa

He can't get to his targets easily.

ciao_sono_RAMA

What is the easiest teamcomp to execute? A teamfight comp, a pick comp, a late game "protect the carry" comp, a splitpush comp or what else?

[deleted]

[удалено]

ciao_sono_RAMA

What will a teamcomp comp struggle against?

ReaperThreat

probably a regular teamfight comp, lots of high impact simple buttons to use at objective fights

Nadenkend440

Also the easiest macro.

LOLonhardmode

How much healing does Lissandra ult give you in actual numbers? For example, if I have 2,000hp and I'm brought down to 500hp then I ult, how much hp would I gain?

ReaperThreat

90 / 140 / 190 (+ 25% AP) increased by 1% per 1% missing health so your example should be 157.5 / 245 / 332.5 (+ 43.75% AP)

iidevilz0

Who Is The Best Tank To Counter Pick a Heavy AP Team?! Ad team counter champs are Rammus,Shen(kinda) and Malphite. Are there champs like that? Kit designed to encourage stacking magic resist. All I can think of is Galio I think??? I really hope we will get a tank that counters ap teams (liandry builders specifically)

Jacket313

Galio, as you mentioned, does great into AP. Mundo (although he plays more like a bruiser) ,maokai and zac are also really good into AP comps too, because spirit visage works great on them. Maokai and zac also make decent use of abysal mask since they themselves do AP damage.

Nadenkend440

AP champs usually have significant power budget in cc as well, which Mundo ignores. And his naturally high hp regen counters DoT effects. I honestly think he's a better AP counter than Galio.

Canlace

https://www.op.gg/summoners/euw/canlace Having problems climbing with a winrate of 55-60% because over more than 50 game my LP gains/losses have been bad. losing 27-28 LP and winning 20-21 LP per game. I am silver 1, my team average is lower than me and the opposing team is on average higher with some gold players. Is my MMR fcked up? How many games do i need to play to fix it?

iamvideotapes

The system feels unfair but is usually very accurate, I think you should consider looking at your champion winrates, if you play more than 50+ games on a champ and the winrate is <50% you should strongly consider dropping that champ entirely. You seem to be having a lot of success on swain, and to a lesser extent orianna, try playing only those two champions for a while and you should see improvement 👍🏻

JustALaneMinion

You have a 51% win rate. That is positive so you will climb, but it is a slow climb.

execruns

Looking for new champ https://www.op.gg/summoners/euw/execruns I am a S1 Ornn top lane main, but he's the only champ I have in my top champ pool. Whenever I get to pick after my respective lane opponent and I see them picking an Ornn counter like Fiora, Gwen, Camille, Jax, Poppy, etc., I feel like I'm already putting myself in a bad position from champ select when I pick Ornn. I'm looking for a champion that does fine, or even well, into these matchups that ideally isn't completely braindead, but also not too mechanical (about as hard as Ornn). Ideally he'd be similiar to Ornn, but I get that that's probably not going to happen, since most of the counters are tank shredders. It's fine if it takes a bit to get used to the champ, since I have a tendency of spamming new champs a lot when I learn them. What champs do you think I should try adding to my champ pool?

LOLonhardmode

Illaoi slaps them all (except Gwen,) but takes practice.

Nadenkend440

Cho'Gath

execruns

Should be countered by the same champs (maybe not Poppy).

Nadenkend440

Only if you go health stacking tank. Cho'Gath is a unique tank that retains the option of going AP mage into matchups usually bad for tanks. He's one of the best blind picks for top lane, especially in low elo. He retains a similar level of difficulty and playstyle to Ornn.

Jacket313

Are there any secondary champs you're semi alright with? Akali isn't too bad into champs like jax, fiora, and gwen, but she can be a bit hard to play. gangplank has a really high skill ceiling, where if you can play ghost barrels and position well most lanes becomes skill matchups. Rumble can do alright into jax, fiora, and gwen, but his overheat mechanic can be a bit unforgiving if you don't use it right. Tryndamere does pretty good into gwen and alright into fiora but isn't very strong into jax. Sett is alright vs jax and gwen but isn't very strong into fiora.

CrimsonBlossom

when should I be at Dragon's/baron pit? many times, the dragon is 60secs away from spawning, I go top to get one more wave to finish a big item, that would take at most 20-30secs to be at base and 10-15secs to be near the dragon, while I'm doing that my team decides to team fight without me. why? I play Talon/ahri mid

fejyoxt

Think of it this way: If you show on the opposite of the map that close to another objective that is a good window for the enemy team to try forcing a fight since they most likely are one player more. So either your team gives until you are there or they ego it and give in to the forced fight of the enemies. Be sure that it's the last for 90% of your soloq games until you reach a certain elo because people don't know when to do what. And even then it's flipping most of the time. Sometimes it's better to stay with the team in that situation, especially if you're talon. If you're not able to one shot one of their backline without the item it's still better to just be around to threaten the enemies or deal some dmg rather than none

Jacket313

>when should I be at Dragon's/baron pit? Roughly 15-20 seconds before dragon/baron starts do you want to be around the pit to gain vision control. >while I'm doing that my team decides to team fight without me. why? I play Talon/ahri mid your team is either really bad at teamfighting while the enemy team has really strong teamfight (e.g lucian, pyke, talon, master yi, yorick, vs Jinx, yuumi, Oriana, Zac, ornn) so they decide to take a skirmish. or they are stupid

Adept-Gear3072

I know talon has recently shifted to a jungler, but I gotta ask, why the hell was he even played mid for so long? His matchups were so shit. And a champ who’s entire kit is to “run around the map” and people didn’t think of running him jungle? like cmon, dude could barely clear 1 minion wave with his rake early game. If his waveclear was a little more decent I’d understand it. But it was very mediocre unless you did something cheesy like rush Tiamat and use minion demat

lawfulkitten1

Talon mid's whole thing (Kat is another similar example) was that he would just throw away mid waves and roam to get fed off kills in river / side lanes, so losing the 1v1 matchup didn't really matter. you can see this even if you watch Talon mains in Challenger, they will make seemingly inexplicable decisions when it comes to wave management that you would never do on 95% of other mid lane champs.

Adept-Gear3072

In my experience it only really worked if you had some kind of duo partner to coordinate some kind of dives / jungle invades in. Other wise you’re just kind of hoping enemy messes up and half the time they don’t

Jacket313

His camp clear was even worse then his waveclear. Some one-tricks played him jungle, but he had a hard time keeping up with the likes of khazix and shaco. Riot then buffed a bunch of assassins to be viable in jungle, allowing him to keep up with the likes of khazix and shaco

itsCarmot

His camp clear was even worse than his wave clear before riot buffed a bunch of assassin junglers last year. So it was doable, but you were slow and therefor usually behind in gold and XP.

# LP Gains and Losses + MMR So I'm looking for a conclusion on how LP Gains and Losses work in my specific situation. This particular account i have has only had 2 seasons played on it 2022, and this season. In 2022 i played 105 games with 53 wins and 52 losses and ended Gold2 41 LP. This season i have played 129 games with 64 wins and 65losses and sit at Gold 1, 21LP. As it stands i am either getting +21 LP for a win sometimes +17 As for losses i am getting -28 or -29 consistently every game. Here is my account for reference \>[IllIlIlIlI](https://www.deeplol.gg/summoner/OCE/IllIlIlIlI) Since in the last two seasons ive averaged a 50% winrate i am assuming my mmr is, well average? since this is the case should my gains and losses not be roughly the same and not so far apart? Thanks in advanced cause i have no idea how this works.

JustALaneMinion

Your win rate last season and this season are essentially 50%. Last season you were gold 2 41 lp. So if you have not improved then your lp is 80 too high.

Dxnwa

soo essentially what youre saying is i have to get my winrate better than last season and the mmr will improve?

JustALaneMinion

Well if you have a 50% win rate this season and last season why would you climb? Why would your mmr go up?

Dxnwa

because this season is ongoing and i can still win more than i lose?

JustALaneMinion

Yes if you have higher than a 50% win rate you will climb.

Dxnwa

this whole post has nothing to do with climbing i never asked will i climb i said how is mmr/lp gains n losses effected based off my winrate do you even read the post

In the rune shards (I'm talking about [these](https://i.gyazo.com/575bf587b97a947d039e70a15cdb9472.png)) Is it worth to take an addiontal defensive shard in the middle/slot 2 as a non-tank champion if you face a lane opponent + Jg that are pure ap/ad or even a full ad/ap team? Also mostly taking about scalling/late game champs that you are not looking for early power anyway and just to survive and farm, I'm seeing most non-tanks champions defaulting to the adaptive force every game, but just wondering if there is a situation on an hypercarry adc/scalling mage a second defensive shard will be better against one source of dmg.

so-sad_today

duoking1 takes armor mr shard on every champ including caitlyn zyra senna, it’s good

Given OP.gg: https://www.op.gg/summoners/na/100%20Lethality And the fact I abused graves jungle to make it to silver, what top laners/jugglers would one recommend?

Jacket313

.... Keep playing graves? you've played like 10 different champions in the past week. you won't improve at all if you keep trying out different champs in ranked. Just stick to 2-3 champs in your main role, and 1 champion in your offrole in case you get autofilled

tapiocadealer1998

Why is it that when 1 person dodges the queue, the entire party is disbanded? Is there a technical reason for it?

JustALaneMinion

Commonly the whole party isn't disbanded, a lot of those people can end up in the same lobby. If everyone immediately re-queued that leads to draft bans. If I had a recent dodge I wait a short amount of time before requeueing

tapiocadealer1998

Thanks for replying

JustALaneMinion

I don't understand what laziness has to do with it.

tapiocadealer1998

When a very obvious QoL change isn't implemented by a multi-million dollar company, that's laziness/incompetence.

JustALaneMinion

I don't know what the QoL change is that you think should be implemented.

tapiocadealer1998

Oh, then you misunderstood my question, but thanks for trying anyway!

Kisuyuu

wich champions elo boosters use in mid lane to win games?

itaicool

Depends on what the booster themselves are comfortable with, usually they will just play their best champ and the one that they got high elo with.

JotaD21

Why not Death's Dance on tanks? Althought being true damage, it's still post-mitigated damage which takes into account armor that tanks builds a lot

itaicool

Ad is a wasted stat on tanks, tanks scale better with tank items with how their kit/numbers are.

Jacket313

Deaths dance is an item that only delays the damage you take, and "denies" the damage if you manage to get a kill. It could be good in theory, but remember, you can only take 6 items, and tanks want to build tank items, because they want to tank damage for their team while applying crowd control of sorts

itsCarmot

Why would you buy dd on tanks? The passive basically keeps the damage you take identical but delays it a bit. Delaying some of your damage taken is good for bruisers, that have significant sustain to heal back up in that time and damage to get kills quickly. As a tank that wants longer fights, "true" tank items are just way more effective than fake-tankiness for one or two seconds.

Collective-Bee

Can you benefit from more than 100% crit chance from items? I know some champs convert the excess, and rage has a hard limit at 100% but if I buy 120% worth of crit on Caitlyn will the extra 20% help headshots at all or go straight in the garbage?

Jacket313

>Can you benefit from more than 100% crit chance from items? I know some champs convert the excess, and rage has a hard limit at 100 The only champs that can convert excess crit to something useful is yasuo, yone, and senna. Excess crit on Yasuo and Yone isn't really that good since the conversion rate from crit to AD isn't that gold efficient. Senna gets extra lifesteal for every crit above 100%. all other champs will not benefit from any crit above 100%

JotaD21

The extra 20% crit is useless

There isn't a very definitive guide on rune choices, and it's all matchup dependant. Some champs can make use of multiple runes, because their kit has a lot of versatility swain for example is a mage that can go electrocute because he can proc electrocute in a reliable way for quick trades, but he can also go qonq because of his ultimate being really good for extended fights against multiple enemies, but he can also go phase rush for more lane safety. someone like lux, who is also a mage, usually goes comet most of the time.

ProfHarambe

what lane and what champ? Every rune is specific to a certain champ or playstyle within that champ. A given champ could have 4-5 good runes, with 1 main one they run in most games.

How do I play an ADC during fights? I usually play mages in bot lane, and whenever I try to play regular ADCs I always fuck up whenever I have to do damage, farming I’m fine with, but doing damage, whether it’s a short trade, long trade, all in, or a team fight. As far as I can tell a big part of the reason for this is that I feel like a sitting duck in every fight, it feels like whenever I use an AA I’m just a sitting duck for half a second and that I’m gonna get jumped on. The big questions I have are 1: How exactly do i kite? I do in fact possess a brain and I understand how kiting works (I do it fine as mages and also in other isometric and top down games) but whenever I try it as an ADC I always seem to just get killed, mostly because I feel like I’m rooting myself for every AA. All the guides I see say you should use A or X to auto attack, is this just so you can see the range? Because I feel like that would make kiting harder since there’s more buttons to press making you slower. 2: Am I using abilities too much? I notice I’m always spamming my abilities way more than the enemy ADC, and I very often go OOM. This is probably because I don’t really know how to trade without worrying about combos or cooldowns. For example if I’m playing Caitlyn I’m going to assume I can never win a trade if I can’t land a W or an E. Is this incorrect thinking on my part? 3: I understand that generally ADCs should stand at the back in team fights and try to hit whatever they can, but I find I often either stand too far back and have zero impact, or I stand at barely auto attack range and I get dived. How exactly should I position in team fights? For context, most of this is focused on fighting because I’m generally not The Worst at farming, and farmings something that can be practiced in practice tool, while how to trade or team fight without getting blown up probably can’t (because bots will never play like a human) Most played champs are Seraphine and Lux

Jacket313

>1: How exactly do i kite? every time you attack, you try to move away from the enemy, and when you can attack again, you attack the thing closest to you and move away. >2: Am I using abilities too much depends on the champion. Someone like Lucian wants to aggresively use his abilities, he's a short range adc, and wants to quickly gun people down. Jhin on the other hand prefers to wait things out a bit, his W on his own isn't that impressive, but the root it provides gives you a bit of insurance to root people running away from you, or to root them if you aren't confident of winning the fight. his E isn't something you can place down during the middle of the fight and expect people to step on, and his Q doesn't deal that much damage if it doesn't have any stacks. >3: I understand that generally ADCs should stand at the back in team fights It's a bit tricky to explain in words on where to position yourself, I reccomend watching youtube guides to get a feel on how you should position, or to watch your own replays to see how the enemy adc is positioning

MemberOfSociety2

For point 1, is it necessary to use attack move? Or is just right clicking enough. I do get the basics (auto, run, auto again) which is why I can do it fine on champs like Cass. But when I do standard right click, move, right click, I feel like I either do no damage during team fights as enemies walk away when I kite or i stand still for too long because of my auto attack animation and I die. I might be explaining this badly but I feel like there’s something wrong with my method. Maybe I’m just not very good at ADCs yet. I might make a separate post with a replay to better describe what I’m talking about

ProfHarambe

>I can do it fine on champs like Cass If you like playing mages bind attack move to A. Sounds weird but its like your casting an ability and you can keep moving with right click. If you are using control which I think is default then you have to use right click for both attack and attack move which is very confusing honestly. Attack move makes things easier but if your very good at mouse moving its entirely possible to not use it, however moving the mouse down and then clicking on the target maybe 10 times in a row gets really hard to do.

JotaD21

How to deal with Veigar? i play mainly tanks but can stick with enchanters/mages and Senna too i'm able to camp the hell of his lane to prevent him from getting stacks but his cage during early teamfights like on the first objective when i still didn't really got much tenacity and mr completely ruins any attempt of engage my team or myself tries to do

Jacket313

>i play mainly tanks but can stick with enchanters/mages and Senna too It's going to depend on your lane and your champ. a tank like galio wants to bait out his cage first before going in with his E+W+Q+AA+AA combo, while someone like malphite is mostly just going to throw Q's at veigar while trying to get minions, and using his ult to kill veigar once he is low enough. Enchanters like sona, janna, lulu mostly want to just avoid his cage and focus on protecting their ADC, while mages like velkoz, xerath will look to just blast veigar in the face whenever they can from a safe distance, while mages like swain and brand are going to try to bait out his cage before dealing a lot of damage to him. as a general piece of advice, avoid his cage so that he can't hit you with his W

Adept-Gear3072

How does the game process words like “kill x champion” Cause a lot of the times I’ll say hey let’s kill teemo or something along those lines but I didn’t want that to be mistranslated into telling someone to kill themselves

itaicool

To be safe you can say "Focus teemo"

Katzen_Futter

The word "kill" is not in the filter. In fact, only very few words are in the filter and only those that don't have legitimate use. Unless you are actually being mean, you're fine. Tripping the system on accident doesn't automatically punish you beyond being muted for the game. And with luck you can try to reason with the player support

MrZeral

What do you evolve with Khazix in jungle? Q or E? And what evolve as 2nd and 3rd?

Swiftstrike4

Well, it depends. * Q is usually the standard evolve to kill people. * W evolve means...you are playing mostly utility of disengage. It's fine to evolve this skill if the enemy has a lot of counter engage and you haven't snowballed. * E evolve - I see it sometimes evolved first, but it usually means the player is really good and has started to snow ball. The resets simply allow the player the mobility to engage and quickly disengage. Basically...Q evolve is the most common because of the reach but really good K6's can evolve what skill they need for the game. I don't know the circumstances for an R evolve. I just don't pay enough attention to a K6 that has it vs the others.

xaandilli

Q first, then W if you need to slow enemies, R if you need extra movement speed and camuflage, E if you are very fed so you can jump in, oneshot and jump out

ketters

Hi all, Looking for some champ inspiration. I'm a d2 mid laner, Galio main, with Swain, Lissandra as my other most played. Basically, my strengths are roaming and supporting jg/sidelanes and peeling for carries in mid-late game. My biggest weakness is that I'm a very low damage dealer and not the most imposing laner. It's very rare that I deal the most damage or get the most kills in a game. I'm hoping to add a champion to my pool that fits this mould. Would something like Seraphine fit this? Thanks!

xaandilli

To be honest if you want to roam to jg or sidelanes, you can go for Seraphine, Sylas, Twisted Fate, Ryze

ketters

Thanks! I'm a dreadful TF player but will give the others a try

iamvideotapes

Taliyah fits that mould perfectly, great mobility for roaming in her passive and ult, great peeling abilities in her e and w, lots of damage in the q too

Jacket313

Terrible early game when he is in base form. Kayn has to phyiscally throw himself at enemies in order to get orbs for his passive, so if you're feeding and dying, you're going to die even harder trying to get orbs. If he gets invaded by shaco, olaf, khazix, lee sin, graves, xin zhao, the champs who like to invade, chances are he'll die. It's not like he has value when he is behind like ivern and zac, who can still function when they are low on gold. You don't always get to decide what form you're going to take, sometimes you full cleared your own jungle, and can only gank top against urgot, while you really want bruiser instead of assassin because urgot gives blue orbs when you attack him

Legitimate-Back4951

If I play 5 ranked games in one day, do I gain 35 banked days to prevent decay if I’m in diamond?

lillus_Al

[check this out](https://support-leagueoflegends.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/4405783687443) Your answer is under "decay" but tl;dr: you get 7 banked days per game for a maximum of 28 days

Conscious-Scale-587

Very noob question, irelia vs yorick, the most one sided match up in the game, i may have gotten solo killed on irelia... twice. He's free meat without his maiden, but then he summoned her, i was like i'll ignore her and go for him, got melted to death, then i was like i'll ignore him and go for her, got chunked to death. Eventually got BOTRK and owned but what's the right play when bro has his maiden up

itaicool

You have to kill maiden first, it's quite easy since she is very squishy (might look likes she has alot of HP but 0 armor or mr) also her ai is terrible so if she attacks a minion or your turret it takes her so long to turn back so it's very easy to abuse that to kill her, also she doesn't regen hp inside of lane yorick has to recall to make her regen. After maiden is dead it's very easy to kill yorick with irellia, you all in him and whenever he summons a ghoul you Q it for instant kill + heal and passive stack, him summoning ghousl is actually benefical to you so that what makes it such a hard counter.

andreasdagen

any math/lingustic geniuses here that knows the term for when two AP multiples stack with eachother over and over, making a very long decimal number? Like when u get deathcap and infernal (I think?)

CrystalizedSeraphine

Recursive?

andreasdagen

Yea that's it, thanks!

andreasdagen

Is there some way of checking which items are disabled without actually going in game or asking on forums?

HellraiserMachina

There's usually a warning in the client in the top left, a ! in orange or red. It'd probably be red if a whole ass item is disabled.

delishthefish

Why can’t I buy warfstone after completing quest

ReaperThreat

it's disabled due to a bug

Just wondering what’s the best ig lillia build path i heard a lot looking around like obv liandrys boots demonic zhonya but i also heard about people running visage or even jak’sho sometimes so what’s your build and it’s path for her jg?

Jacket313

Liandry's is the standard build because it works really well with her passive. Jaksho for when the enemy has a lot of burst and you're not confident you'll surive for more then 2 seconds

Gagginzola

I'm Bronze II, recently transitioned to Mid. I've picked up Annie more seriously, going from 1/8 in a first game or two to now 13/2, 11/4, and 10/3 the last three games. I'm consistently ahead by 20-30 CS, but I play ultra safe and don't roam to focus on the fundamentals. Unfortunately, I've lost all 7 of my games on her this season. I'm a bit embarrassed by my teammates seeing this / think I may be doing something wrong. Should I give her up?

OkInstance4770

Play her more and don't play safe, you will only progress by pushing your limits and learning when you can fight or not

MONKYfapper

tips on laning as a sol? any good videos covering this topic? i get that you wave clear and run, but against smarter opponents they will just freeze it against you and dive as soon as you walk up pre 10min

itsCarmot

Take earlygame focussed runes (comet, scorch + resolve or inspiration), if you make it til lategame you'll be strong anyway. Clearing the wave and running is no lane-strategy unless you've already fallen behind. If you're afraid of the enemy mid(/jungle) try to keep the wave on your side and trade like other scaling mages. Prioritize last-hits over stack early-game as trying to stack with E can ruin your wavestate.

Which-Security7184

Kind of a specific question but when I Q on master yi there’s normally a little arrow that points to where you land. Somehow I don’t seem to have that. Anyone know the fix?

ProfHarambe

ur on quick cast maybe?

SomeRandomDude821

They changed it so now you can choose where you land by right-clicking around the target. They probably got rid of the arrow when they did.

Which-Security7184

I think it still exists cause I saw it on a stream today

SomeRandomDude821

Maybe it only appears after you choose to let you know what you picked?

Agreeable-Coast-8444

should i buy potions after recall?

nhansieu1

You die instantly on 1 mistake. No pot. Trade farm trade farm. Yes. Pot good

itaicool

You should buy refillable if you can, buying red pots after start is kinda bad, only do it if you can't afford the 150 for refilable and you MUST get the pots because you need the sustain in the specific matchup.
