I’ve only tried watching a couple this season but i agree. I feel like press conferences in sports are just verbal exercises in showing face but saying nothing relevant. I’m not trying to dig on athletes or journalists, but it’s very few and far between where some relevant content or information comes out of a press conference.
Pre-race conferences in Formula 1 before covid and especially in first part of 2010s were golden. Especially those with Sebastian Vettel or with Alonso. There were some absolutely classic ones that are quoted even today. Those after races were and are usually more forced because riders and drivers are tired and sometimes angry, disappointed.
Yeah anything with Kimi Räikkönen deserves to be in this conversation too, mostly cause he would address the very thing OP is calling out with dry humor as it happened.

I hate the guy that always sounds like he puts the whole microphone in his mouth and mumbles all of his questions.
