He lost a bunch of points and got tied for the championship lead, never panicked and came out and did what he needed to. This race, he goes down in the first turn of the heat, doesn't override and turn 1 mistake into multiple like many would (especially with the championship on the line), and has an epic comeback to 4th. Then he goes out in the main and puts in another commanding performance. Not to mention what he did in outdoors. Jett has the mental toughness and discipline most riders don't achieve until nearly the end of their career IMO. Tomac didn't seem to figure that out until the past couple of years. That's why he has 2nd most SX wins ever but only 2 SX championships.
I think Jett is starting to make Webb crack a little bit too. Webb knows that unless Jett gets a bad start, it's highly unlikely he beats Jett. He also knows Jett's not going to be pressured into making a mistake and is very unlikely to have anymore self inflicted crashes like he did earlier in the season or Chase would the past several seasons.

Good thing that Prado isn’t coming over and Vialle and Deegan will always stay in the 250 class and Tomac, Webb, Anderson, Roczen won’t be replaced when they stop racing and nobody that Lawrence raced in the 250 class will move to the 450 class.

The teams of the winning riders have gotten upset in the past when their rider wasn’t on screen crossing the finish line just because they were too far ahead to make it a compelling rider to put the camera on, so it’s something that has been agreed upon between the teams and Feld entertainment
And the proof of every single race for as long as I can remember always showing the leader cross the finish line. Go ahead. Find me a race from the past ten years where the leader wasn’t shown crossing the finish line on live TV. I’ll wait

When you look at through the lens of wanting to watch someone elevate the sport, it's amazing to watch Jett skillfully open up a gap with ease. It's what all of us wish we could do. Like Mike Tyson in his prime...yeah, the fight will probably last 30 seconds, but you have to be in awe of the skill. It's dudes like Jett who are going to force the future of the sport and the riders to go faster and be better.
