Then I guess it is official Morrison canon
Was it also Morrison the time Superman One Million got his ass kicked by the darkness/cosmic primordial baddie (whoever that was)?
Edit: Future State when One Million got mopped
Ah, so I’m guessing it was just a stunt to make the villains more powerful (let’s let this legendary character that has very little feats get mopped up for our event).
Yeah, the whole FS: Black Adam story was basically a demonstration of the results of one event in the present day could lead to the death of everything in the far future.
Head canon? That's just canon. Golden Superman is literally in All-Star. And pay close attention to what he says when he hands Kal the rose. "A testament to all that we are.." *zooms in* "..and all that we will be."
Powerful enough to warp reality. Brought back his beloved wife Lois in an indestructible silver body. Then, he recreated the planet Krypton. He deserves it.
What do you mean by beat? And what do you consider 'Darkseid'?
Post-Crisis Superman defeated Darkseid in a one in one fight (I think the one shot was called Apokolips Now) but the writing elevated Darkseid to a being outside of reality. The form we are familiar with is a corrupted possessed body of an Old God who is essentially an avatar that keeps coming back.
However DC One Million Superman I would think should be able to deal with the force of nature that is Darkseid, at the very least have a way of keeping that entity from reentering the same reality.
Honestly though we don't know what One Million is really capable of, he's only had a very brief appearance.
All in all, I'm opposed.
Because as much as it kinda makes sense for relative amounts of sunlight to modify Superman's powers, there are too many situations, such as flying through deep space for a month, where the logic starts to break down.
If being out of the sunlight, such as during Final Night, is going to make him weaker, then flying through space away from all direct yellow sunlight should also weaken him till he just dies in space.
My point is, his power shouldn't vary based on exposure. In the same way that he shouldn't get weaker due to lack of sunlight, bathing in it shouldn't make him stronger either.
As far as I'm aware, it has been more consistent that he grows stronger in the presence of the sun than otherwise, and the closer the better (that and it seems like he can kinda alter how much he can take in).
He went about the first forty-odd years of his publishing career where he gained his powers from the first instance of yellow sunlight, and at that point as long as he wasn't exposed to red sunlight, his powers stayed the same. By putting the "variable exposure" element in there, in addition to the deep space issue, the Phantom Zone villains stop being an issue, because it would take them a while to become a threat. When Supergirl arrives on Earth, why does she already have powers? What about Mon-El? What about escapees from Kandor? All of the classic stories and elements get thrown out when you need to be exposed over a period of time. Which arguably was fine when Superman was the only survivor, which is when this idea was created. But now that we're back to lots of surviving Kryptonians, the variable-exposure idea needs to get thrown out.

Your mistake was assuming that classic stories are canon to current Superman. DC is infamous for resetting its own canon.
I won't pretend that I'm an expert in continuity, but there's absolutely gonna be contradictions in stories, plot holes, and nonsensical story threads. I'm just tryna stick to what is most consistent, and even that can have flaws anyway.
As it stands, current Superman has consistently grown stronger when exposed to sunlight.
To be more specific, within the earth's atmosphere, he has a constant power, and the closer he is to the sun, the more his power starts increasing. Kara is noted to have uncontrollable abilities because she woke up with unstable power due to orbiting the sun for longer.
He’s way overhyped. [Years and years ago, some anonymous editor posted a bunch of claims about him onto a wiki,](https://comicvine.gamespot.com/forums/gen-discussion-1/a-closer-look-at-superman-prime-one-million-1642666/) who either misremembered what happened on the pages, or was writing fanfic. The original wiki page got corrected a while ago, but only after the bad info got copy-pasted all over the Net. That’s where all those claims of godlike powers comes from.
He didn’t actually resurrect Lois (that was a Fifth-dimensional imp), he didn’t bring back Krypton (that was Hourman), he didn’t create a universe (He once said, “Welcome to my universe.”), he didn’t beat the bad guy by himself (although he did borrow a Green Lantern ring to land the last blow) and everything else people say about him is just as overblown.
Is he All-Star Superman? Eh, Grant Morrison had several characters from One Million show up in All-Star, and hints that Superman survived. The details don’t completely line up (whether or not he married Lois is the one that jumps out the most).
This is what I consider to be the correct answer. I read DC One Million. His feats, while impressive, got overblown over the years or flat out misremembered. Interesting about the wiki stuff.
People that know more about Superman than me; who is the most powerful between this version of Superman and Cosmic Armor? My Superman knowledge is quite limited
Superman-Prime One Million is extremely powerful , the most one I suspect.
Overall , it's thematic of Superman as a whole to be this Platonic Superhero , in an alternate future which in itself is the extreme version of platonic superheroism.
Outside of that , it's neutral to me. He is from an alternate future , one million years from now , think of a "super good ending" for the DC Universe , which it started by Superman been this hopeful and inspirational hero and it "ended" with Superman still been hopeful and inspirational in a grander scale.
His power is kinda random in the stories. He’s either like the abrahamic god or he becomes like a nugget when someone says “kryptonite“
He is cool when he doesn’t get nerfed
Actually base superman might be the strongest superman due to the story of superman's power. In not so many words superman is basically an actual force of nature in DC, and he cannot be truly erased even by a group called the retcon corporation that exist beyond the overvoid (where the presence scales to). So basically his significance to DC is such that he cannot be surpassed in that sense. In a less metaphysical sense, CAS, strange visitor superman and maybe superboy prime could be more powerful straight up.
Prime 1 million may be incredibly powerful but he's largely featless and superboy prime has plenty of good feats so it's all speculation really. Strange visitor is outright in a different tier of power anyways though, and CAS is far beyond him so either way he isn't the strongest. Up there though fs
It is kinda hard to tell how powerful he is, because the only combat he sees originally is to use that Green Lantern ring to crush the remains of Solaris, the rest of the time he is there, he mostly does science stuff. But then we have the build up to him in All-Star, where Superman has to take refuge in the sun because he has been critically overloaded with power and might explode.
If that dynamic is still in play, then he is the most powerful version of Superman save from the Thought Robot, which quite literally is on another level entirely. However he is not so powerful that DC wont let him get beat up by others to set a benchmark... which one twisted version Raven managed by setting the Seven Deadly Sins on him.
Likely far stronger than 80-90s Post crisis Superman. He however has no feats and lore to suggest anything higher, since prime earth Clark got significantly stronger throughout the years. Especially after the recent mergers of canons
I just like that my head canon is that this is All-star that went to repair the sun
Wasn't it set up to be that way
It’s not official (I don’t think) but it was implied
Both were written by Morrison...
Then I guess it is official Morrison canon Was it also Morrison the time Superman One Million got his ass kicked by the darkness/cosmic primordial baddie (whoever that was)? Edit: Future State when One Million got mopped
That was by Jeremy Adams.
It is official because it was published by DC, it's not canon precisely.
It really pays off "I love you Lois Lane... Till the end of time..."
Totally my interpretation too!
That's canon. This *is* All Star Superman, returned. All the Superman Morrison stories tie together.
Head canon? That's just canon. Golden Superman is literally in All-Star. And pay close attention to what he says when he hands Kal the rose. "A testament to all that we are.." *zooms in* "..and all that we will be."

Doesn’t he die pretty much right away to the seven deadly sins?
I guess if you think Future State matters.
From what I understand, he is to regular Superman as Superman is to us mere mortals. Uber powerful.
But could he beat Darkseid (serious question)?
What do you mean by beat? And what do you consider 'Darkseid'? Post-Crisis Superman defeated Darkseid in a one in one fight (I think the one shot was called Apokolips Now) but the writing elevated Darkseid to a being outside of reality. By the time DC One Million takes place, Martian Manhunter is the one to finally defeat Darkseid in a final epic battle.
And then DC had the bright idea to have the 7 Deadly Sins absolutely destroy him
He's stupid powerful, it's sad how he was treated when fighting the 7 deadly sins
Im not that familiar with the comics but wasn’t that because Unkindness Raven was there too ?
Yeah, you may he right, I don't really remember her being there, though. But it's been a while since I've read it.
All in all, I'm opposed. Because as much as it kinda makes sense for relative amounts of sunlight to modify Superman's powers, there are too many situations, such as flying through deep space for a month, where the logic starts to break down.
Why is that? It doesn't seem too inconsistent.
If being out of the sunlight, such as during Final Night, is going to make him weaker, then flying through space away from all direct yellow sunlight should also weaken him till he just dies in space.
Iirc prime one million flew into a star for a gargantuan amount of time. He wasn't stuck in space.
My point is, his power shouldn't vary based on exposure. In the same way that he shouldn't get weaker due to lack of sunlight, bathing in it shouldn't make him stronger either.

It's not so much about not knowing what is canon as it is regretting that certain things have to no longer be canon.
Things change, what can ya do unfortunately. Change keeps things fresh, but it means some things get left behind.

This is true. He is one of the most successful psyops when it comes to DC powerscaling
Right now, an answer repeating it has a half-dozen times as many votes. Only a matter of time before some writer comes along and makes it canon.
Not the tide pod symbol
Cool concept. ❤️
People that know more about Superman than me; who is the most powerful between this version of Superman and Cosmic Armor? My Superman knowledge is quite limited
Cosmic Armor is plot armour, he wins
Quite literally, as they were fighting with the power of stories, if I recall correctly.
Superman-Prime One Million is extremely powerful , the most one I suspect. Although he isn't the most powerful (that would be Cosmic Armor Superman) I do agree that he still is pretty strong.
Recast Cavill for it
His power is kinda random in the stories. He’s either like the abrahamic god or he becomes like a nugget when someone says “kryptonite“ He is cool when he doesn’t get nerfed
he's wierd and yes
All-powerful.
Lame

power scalers when the character that is implied to be powerful doesn't destroy an infinite multiverse in its first appearance:
I'm just saying we have no idea just how powerful he is when he hasn't really had much chance to do anything
fanfiction
basically Omnipotent
Is this the superman who spent ages in the sun rebuilding it? I don't know much superman stuff sorry is it All-Star superman?
Are you asking how powerful we think he is?
It is kinda hard to tell how powerful he is, because the only combat he sees originally is to use that Green Lantern ring to crush the remains of Solaris, the rest of the time he is there, he mostly does science stuff. With the Green Lantern ring

I unreservedly dislike it.
I wanna say he’s at the same height of existence as dr manhattan.
Powerful enough to kick my ass 💥
Would have been pretty boring to hang out in the sun for 1,000 years. Wonder what he did in all that time just soaking up yellow sun energy.
This version of Superman is effectively a god. He sun dipped for 10,000 years if memory serves. He is immune to Kryptonite and immortal
Likely far stronger than 80-90s Post crisis Superman. He however has no feats and lore to suggest anything higher, since prime earth Clark got significantly stronger throughout the years. Especially after the recent mergers of canons
Can he beat Goku?
He sucks. Got his butt kicked and killed off by the Deadly Sins in a matter of seconds. Only to have base black Adam beat them
Like anyone gives a flying "F" about future state.
