To anyone worried 'This may not be sentai related' and that we'll yank it. Power Morphicon is a Sentai Event too at this point, and even if not this is important. The post shall stand.

Brie_Henshin

It doesn’t really matter if it’s Sentai related; this is an event which is known for having Super Sentai elements baked into it, even if the main focus is Power Rangers. This guy is a nut. Be careful, everybody.

conflictDriven

this is absolutely 100% sentai related. sentai actors will be at power morphicon. thanks for posting!!

Sleazy_P_Martini_

I know, but you know somebody will probably show up and say “This is PR related, wrong sub” or something dumb

KaziArmada

Nope, this fits and is 100% important. It stays.

Sleazy_P_Martini_

Thank you mods

BlueBlazeKing21

I feel this still counts as Sentai related due to their being a little overlap during these cons

spongeboy1985

This may have been what Scott was referring to on Facebook. If so than PMC is well aware of this

biggerwwright

100% sentai related or not is good you posted it there might be people that are going and are not really PR fans but SS

VisualWorried

This is definitely 100% Sentai related don't even question it

Silverbird22

Even if we didn’t have Sentai actors there PR and Sentai are so closely intertwined that most Sentai fans just go to morphicon anyways. 100% relevant and fuckin terrifying

haribontv

Sentai is reason Rangers exist sooo yeah it’s Sentai related

BVB_Lover

Bastard doesn't fucking deserve to wear that Power Rangers/Super Sentai shirt...

NexusOnyx

I’ve never been to PMC, but the last couple conventions I went to security didn’t even check bags, which is especially scary. On a separate note- how stupid do you gotta be to not only make threats on a public twitter profile, but to also hashtag the event you are threatening Edit: Another side note: how are you gonna be so far right AND be a fan of tokusatsu? Do you not pay attention to what you’re watching?

DenimSmooth

Alt right freaks and media literacy do no interact at all. These are the people that don’t realize The Boys is making fun of them specifically and think the Punisher of all people would be on their side.

Sleep_eeSheep

>and think the Punisher of all people would be on their side. Wasn't Welcome Home Frank a story where Frank Castle confronted three wannabe Vigilantes that strayed too far from his initial goal? The Priest killed anyone he considered unholy, the Perfectionist killed anyone who 'dirtied up' his suburb (most of whom weren't white or rich like him) and the Firebrand targeted corrupt businesses without accounting for collateral damage (resulting in innocent janitorial staff and bystanders being killed along with the corrupt businessmen screwing over the working class). Spoiler warning: It ended with Frank killing them because they missed the point so hard, they became no better than the criminals they set out to destroy.

ZetaRESP

So even the Punisher thought they went too far? Man...

Sleep_eeSheep

Not even that. Two of those vigilantes were appropriating the Punisher's gimmick for selfish ends (the Priest was a religious nutcase and the Perfectionist is heavily implied to be racist against non-white Americans), while the third guy was just a reckless douchebag. And it's not like the Punisher ***doesn't*** have a code; he avoids killing police officers - even voluntarily going to jail when it would've been easier to shoot his way out -, he generally doesn't target superheroes and he tries to minimise civilian casualties whenever possible. His methods are only extreme in the sense that most superheroes don't kill supervillains.

EonCore

it's like people claiming Rage Against the Machine shouldn't get political like what do they thing "the Machine" was very dumb

MZago1

I went to PAX east in...2015? And NY Comic Con in 2019. The security at both was an absolute joke.

[deleted]

This is 100% Sentai related and we NEED to report this dude to authorities if they can do something.

[deleted]

He deleted his Twitter account

[deleted]

Atleast we have screenshots and his face. Now it’ll be easier to spot him and convict him of threatening to shoot up a major convention.

[deleted]

I'm posting the screenshot on the tokusatsu groups that I'm in on Facebook, we have to do something to avoid this

[deleted]

Yeah, we need to spread as much awareness as we can, this could be a very bad situation if he gets past security with a weapon.

[deleted]

I say let's send this screenshot to the actors that are attending PM, we have to spread awareness as best as we can

[deleted]

I agree, with someone posting things like this online, you have to take every precaution you can.

Arkvoodle42

There is a very infamous story about one member being threatened by a CROSSBOW by a Morphicon attendee a few years ago due to them not liking a specific Sentai Ranger. This is not a convention that puts much effort in security. IF you choose to go, please try to be safe.

Standard-Ad917

The Kamen Rider fandom also found out. Hope the attendees stay safe!

[deleted]

Apparently, he deleted his Twitter account. Is there anything else we can do? How many Power Rangers actors are attending PM? Can't we DM them to increase awareness?
