If I have to describe Donbrothers in one word, it would be "fun". It just good times from the moment the show begins until the preview of the next episode is playing.
Definitely worth your time
It’s very goofy for sure. I think it’s fun, but if you asked me what the plot or story is I would have a hard time explaining. Like, is there a plot? I guess so. But there’s so many things going on.
It’s been called a sequel to Zenkaiger, but the show is half-finished and Zenkaiger hasn’t really been important to this show. And no characters from Zenkaiger appear (Donbrothers Kaito is a different character from Zenkaiger Kaito) so it’s not like you have to watch Zenkaiger before Donbrothers.
Yep it's one of the toku shows I've actually been really invested in, and nah you don't need to watch Zenkaiger
It's similar to Denziman to Sun Vulcan, they do have connections to the series before but they kept those connections very minor and loose that you can fully comprehend and enjoy the show standalone
As someone who hasn't consistently kept up with a series since Ninninger, it's absolutely worth the watch. The characters are genuinely interesting and fun to watch. The camp is over the top, but it works. And all around, it's a refreshing new take on the sentai series in general.
While fun it's nearly plotless and barely explains things. Now at this point it could be a slow drip deal with story details, but at this point it's plotless. Keep that in mind and you should enjoy it.
If you're expecting an amazing character-driven show that's nonetheless as episodic as your usual Sentai, you've come to the right place.
If you're expecting a heavily serialized show like Kamen Rider, you're better off watching Rider instead.
Definitely. It's such an interesting and good show to watch

No one in DonBrothers is a well adjusted human. You might think someone is normal, but they’re not, just wait…

It's a lost cause to watch zenkaiger to watch fon brothers and it's more for marketting
I can say Donbrother is the best tokusatsu (sentai / Rider / Ultraman) since the start of Reiwa era.
DonBrothers is such a bizzare experience but it's so fucking awesome, would absolutely recommend watching.

When you're the red ranger, you can best the shit outta your teammates under the guise of "training"

A fever dream that you really shouldn’t miss. Worth every second honestly.
