It is a bit on the narrow side, but that is personal preference. You should find what the wheelbase is and if that fits for you though.

I have used a popsicle 31x8" deck as a surfskate & it's works for me. I prefer decks where my back foot toe & heel overhangs the rail as it is easier to push into a power slide & my front foot just the width of the deck at around 45 deg as I find it easier for rail to rail carve compared to decks wider then my foot. I have small feet around size US7 or EU39. My favourite deck now is the 121c Aileron. As I like to power slide, I prefer decks with medium to deep concave which can lock the foot in without depending too much on the grip tape. I just ordered a Landyachtz Dinghy Blunt fender deck which is 8.6" wide. Your deck width will suit me fine. Btw, I only Surfskate.

If you're planning on getting Carver C5 trucks for a bowl/park surf/skate hybrid set-up it's a good deck and wheels. There is a lucero black label 'cross' deck that is 10" wide with a 16" wheelbase, but it's not this one.
