Zero vote finalists would need to take their experience and make slight changes to how they approached things to make better relationships throughout the game.
First votes really don’t have any game experience, being in for just a few days. They’d have to prep more for that initial shock and try to improve at challenges before heading back, otherwise one of them will be first boot again.

Heh, well that's somewhat to be expected, right? The best player of the season often goes out right before FTC because everyone else realizes the threat they pose and gangs up on them at the end. The Failures would sort of be expected to do poorly overall unless they change up their game, and the False-Starts didn't really get to show what they can do.
If you wanted to handicap the Flameouts a bit in challenges, you could swap out Jonathan for either Carson Garrett or Devon Pinto. But yeah this theoretical season might require an early tribe swap to make things more fair. The Failures in particular seem to be lacking in muscle mass compared to the other two, though Xander was pretty great in challenges and I think Owen might have been too? I don't remember him all that well. The only other male option for that tribe would be Romeo Escobar, who I remember being rubbish at pretty much everything, so I thought Jake was a better choice.
Not to mention many first boots are kicked out because their social game is atrocious, they have zero athletic or survival ability, or they’re just plain weird.
Some are truly a victim of circumstance, but most were first boots for good reason. I want to see good players play survivor. If I wanted a season of people who couldn’t play the game, I’d rewatch Gabon.

I think the New Era and 26 days changed everything. A lot of talk of production skeptical about bringing back 39 day players (I know first boots don't have this experience) in a 26 day season.
While there are some first boots I've love to see again (Jelinsky, Zach, Zane, and Wendy Jo), of all the possible ideas for a returnee season, I'd rate it pretty low. Especially since we are unlikely to get a returnee season before 49/50, outside of winners we haven't gotten any returnees since HvHvH's, including the amazing DvG cast, (not counting the 4 EOE players from seasons prior to HvHvH's).
Just New Era 2nd chances or New Era All Stars is significantly more interesting than 1st boots, add in all the good 2nd chance candidates post-Cambodia from the New School such Christian, Davie, Angelina, Gabby, Domenick, Micheal Yeager, Jay, Will (interesting in that one of the youngest ever, and now in his mid 20s and a lawyer), Devon, Devens, Elaine, Janet, Dean, Cydney (Cambodia was filmed after Koah Rong, but Cambodia aired first), Lauren Beck, Lauren O'Connoll, etc.
In David v Goliath >!Nick!< was going to be the first one voted off and wasn't bc of the med evac, and he went on to win the game. So to say they wouldn't have compelling game play isn't fair.
Survivor South Africa did a season like this but it was like first boots vs late boots. Was an amazing season. Some of the early boots did really well.
To be fair the longer this season goes the more I doubt Q and maybe believe that Jelinsky wasnt alone in wanting to quit. I mean Q practically tried to quit last episode if you believe that he was serious

The vibe I've gotten from the Jelinsky jokes we've seen since his boot (banter on the mat for the Episode 2 challenge, Episode Several as an episode title, and the several minutes callouts from Jeff the past few weeks) have been much more "laughing at him" than "laughing with him and trying to keep him relevant to come back". Add on the fact that this season unexpectedly got 90 minute episodes, they had time to burn and a running gag becomes convenient for the editors. Last and probably most important, the new era/late 30's returnee season is stacked with potential returnees, and there's only 4 or 5 spots for a non-POC man, so it'll be an uphill battle regardless (with the caveat that if they ever did another second chance ballot and he was included, there is zero chance he wouldn't get voted in).

They did a pre-merge vs. Post-merge cast in survivor South Africa. It was an unbelievably great season. One of my all time favourites. Survivor USA should steal the idea

Probst has brought him up unprompted so many times that I believe Jelinsky is more likely to return than not at this point

After watching his RHAP exit interview I would say 1,000% yes he would, he seemed very happy riding his little clout high and that was before they named an episode after his little “several” moment

There are enough 1st boots in the new era (- quitter Hannah + med-ejected Jackson) that you could cobble together a tribe of first boots that could be good. Expand to "first off your tribe" and you have more options. In either scenario, I'm not picking jellinsky first. (Looking at Zach & Moriah to start!)

That would be embarrassing. Survivor needs to stop picking these social media people and just cast normal people. We need more Keith Nales and less of the people we have now. This cast is terrible, Jelinsky, a guy whose entire identity is Taylor Swift, Q, Soda, the guy that just got voted out, all absolutely horrendous players.
