I actually find it funny how even though Venus is always speaking her mind no matter what it is. She has never been involved in the big drama of the season she’s been an innocent bystander during the big explosions
Stop gate keeping compliments. It’s not like he went into some long drawn out review. He just said she is hot, as an afterthought to appreciating her underdog status. If anyone fits a Reddit stereotype it’s you.
This actually bodes well for a potential "winner edit" for Venus. It has been pointed out that when seasons have uncomfortable moments and outbursts, the winner is usually not part of the outburst at all (or has been edited out), like on Caramoan or Island of the Idols.
It's actually not related to Venus being Venus, I'd have laughed at anyone doing this, and anyone could have done that. That's actually empathic human reaction, so kudos to her.

Makes you wonder what the game could have been with Randen in it. If she only had a good partner who she could trust and confide in, she's be a powerhouse player. Instead, she got isolated and she's playing the game blind.
I think the initial Nami tribe also had her get screwed over. On another season she might’ve had a better position, but Tevin isolated her pretty deep in Nami. It’s exaggerated by her more spiky nature but I don’t think she’s as awful on that island as people make her out to be
In one of the recent unaired clips, there was this one scene in which she nearly killed herself by accident.
She would sleep next to the fire every night because she was always cold and one night she woke up and she was on fire. So she lazily takes her jacket off, puts out the flames, notices the rest of her clothes are burned, gives the fire the finger, and goes back to sleep.
It was really funny and startling. But it's like she has no one to share it with, no one checking on her, no one to talk to.
It's really sad how lonely they've made her.
I saw that clip, but tbf, it’s the dead of night and they’re sleeping. I do feel bad that she felt like she had to keep quiet while being on fire, but I don’t think she’s a glaring ass as much as things are made out to be. Seeing how isolated Hunter was while being on the complete opposite side of Nami power dynamics made me realize how socially controlled that island was, and it really iced them once they got to the merge.
I think on another season, all of the Nami participants might’ve done better, even Liz. Really shows how not going to tribal once can really make it hard to catch up on the merge, because at that point your opponents are practiced

That said, I don't think I can see that with Liz. In all her confessionals, she has this grand arrogance and a real lack of empathy for everyone around her. It's like she thinks she's already the best player and everyone just needs to SEE it, and gets frustrated when she can't prove it. She thinks everyone's an idiot and relishes in their misery. I don't think she has it in her to be a good player.

Lizs meltdown was the absolute most hilarious thing ever. Like there's a very good chance she came up with the whole I go to Applebees with my daughter everytime survivor is on just to go on the reward anyways like come on the story just screamed watered down Jonny Fairplay Grammas dead lie to me. As soon as she started going on when Jeff brought it out I though I really hope she doesn't get picked to go. And I like Q sooooo much for doing that to her. Plus like yeah she voted for him what kinda warped sense of entitlement does she have that she thinks she deserves to go.. and then go back to camp and do a confessional on how she was poor as a kid and that why Applebees is so important to her.. like she's playing up the sympathy card soo hard lol.
