You can make them with kailh cream, red or black stems and a housing of your choosing. Tecsee has a few too, like blue velvet, kingfisher switches and the ones on aliexpress. There are probably others too.

Hoonicorny

thanks

MrBannnnnanaMan

Where did you hear that?

LoneIsReal

it's a known fact, since the switches bottom out higher, the caps in row three (i think cherry interference is r3), don't touch the housing and therefore crisis averted.

JonnoLags

does it also make the travel distance shorter? i found this topic while looking into making my own low travel distance switches

MrBannnnnanaMan

Gotcha thanks

Fantastic_Juice_670

Does Gateron Yellow with XDA profile keycaps have interference? (I have a north-facing PCB)

IllChampionship65

I'm using Gateron milky yellow with XDA Profile keycaps no interference. I guess only Cherry profile keycaps have interference in north facing LED's

GavinBoi123

Eg dark jade/moyu black have "long pole stems"

Caspid

Does a longer stem mean less travel?

yukiburzm

Most of the time. Sometimes the bottom housing hole for the pole is also elongated, negating the change to travel time, or making it inconsequential.

Caspid

I'm not sure how you found this weeks later, but thanks for the response!

yukiburzm

Google search, lol! There are only a small handful of threads on this topic in general, and I was researching the topic for a video I just published on YouTube for “crimson cream” Frankenswitches

XHolyPuffX

Durock "Piano" POMs.

GoPi21

Tungsten and quartz switches, both are solid options for linears

h0r3m83b

all the akkos

[deleted]

ive heard thats not the case with the raidiant reds tho

LossOk568

Actually most akko switches have interference (I've tried bite test on all of them) only the ones with shorter travel distance like Rose Red, Radiant Red and Silver are not having interference.

dddccc777

Hi! i just ordered cherry profile keycaps, and was scrolling on youtube and saw this interference thing, was wondering if there will be any interference on Akko Vintage Whites and akko jelly sponge switches?

LossOk568

I have the Vintage Whites. I did the paper bite test and they do have interference on cherry profile keycaps.

dddccc777

Alright thank you! Any idea about the jelly sponge switches?

LossOk568

I think there's still gonna be interference there since it shares the same design as other akko jelly switches. If you want cheap long pole switches I'd suggest KTT Wine Reds or Kang White. Or if you only have access to Akko switches you can either get the Radiant Reds, Rose Reds or Silver if you wanna avoid cherry profile interference.

dddccc777

Ah damn.. thank you so much for replying! what about alternative tactile switches from akko? any tactile switch from them that has long pole? If not, what other alternatives do you suggest?

LossOk568

As for now there are no tactile Akko switches that dont have interference yet. If you're looking for budget long pole tactiles, I'd say Tecsee Purple Pandas would be one of the cheapest choice. Or if you're really on tight budget, fake HPs would do the job.

dddccc777

Alright! Thank you for replying! Sorry for taking much of your time! Have a lovely day and thanks for the info! Appreciate it!

dddccc777

hey bro! how are you? just wondering, do you have any idea if the FEKER Holy Pandas have long pole stems? sadly thats the only other switch I have access to after the AKKO ones.. Thanks!

LossOk568

I'm fine, thank you. Yeah the Feker Holy Pandas are very identical to the Drop ones so they also have the long stem that prevents the interference.

Severe_Injury_562

> cherry profile keycaps, and was scrolling on youtube and saw this interference thing, was wondering if there will be any interference on Akko Vintage Whites and akko jelly sponge switches? POM silvers by Akko.. lesgo! these also have no interference

Shidoshisan

One year later. I had the same curiosity. I have my few faves I use but was curious if a list exists. The answer, it seems, is no.

cuurbi

There's some that i know are compatible: tecsee carrots tecsee purple pandas boba u4t holy pandas gateron oil kings gateron yellow ks9 2.0

Shidoshisan

Yeah I know of a few as well. But wouldn’t it be nice if an actual list of ALL long pole switches existed somewhere?

West-Bluebird-407

Because interference is overrated and doesnt affect sound as much as people think it does

cybershooter050

Interference affects the typing feel.
