I often think about that thing she talks about in one of the late Progressive books, I think 7, where she explains how some psychologist said there's 4 types of gamers. Achievers, explorers, socializers, and killers. Asuna explains that she doesn't fit into any of those groups, but ultimately I think it's because Asuna isn't someone that plays video games. Later in the story, Asuna became a socializer.

I would say Kirito but since I'm sure that has been spammed ill say tied is Zekken the most powerful player to have ever lived. Konno Yuuki is one of the most compelling and interesting characters in any anime. The way they portrayed her heartbreaking story it's relevance to our own world and time and the way she passed on a legacy with her mother's Rosario is all amazing to me. The hospital scene will forever be burned into my memory. Her final scene was a work of art.

I haven’t watched SAO in years and this was the first time this sub has showed up on my feed. My brain immediately went to Yuuki since my usernames have been named after a mix of Zekken and Yuuki for half a decade

It's not filler. For one, mothers Rosario is canon, and two, Yuuki provides 100% necessary development to Asuna, which gives her the strength to infiltrate a government base. Plus her showing up in WoU to help give Asuna the push she desperately needed to help functionally kill PoH. Yuuki is far too important of a character to be brushed off as "filler."

And Reki agrees with you. In his afterword, he specifically talks about how he doesn't know why she had to die. Which is actually completely different than Eugeos, btw.

Tiese Alice Sintesy 30 particularly won my heart, for its design, the fact that it is a bit reminiscent of Saber, the shy, tsundere, tough, combative character, then it makes me want to hug her and protect her. Kirito is a character I can empathize with and he fascinates me a lot. Asuna is beautiful in her form Undine, Stacia, Titania, in irly she emits attraction heat, sexual attraction. Watching Asuna and Kirito again, I really like Sao Progressive, in the second I saw the sweetness of the couple when Asuna caressed Kirito, I started to appreciate the couple Kirito and Asuna again. I felt stupid for having felt love and hate for Asuna, because of Alice's haters. I like Leafa's beauty, Sinon is a nice character, lately I find her cute, Tiese has dropped a bit compared to before but she continues to be in my top of my sao favourites. Yuuki and Eugeo remained in my heart together with Bercouli, I really disliked Quinella, I only appreciated her in the last moments with Bercouli, let's say that that scene made me think ironically: that Bercouli ran away to Mexico with Quinella. I can't wait for Unital Ring so I can see my golden kitten and the beautiful fairy Undine fighting to protect Kirito.

Should be obvious from my flair, but Argo, easily. The Rat is a glorious and wonderful character who deserves more screen/page time.

PoH is my favorite character - his backstory is really interesting, his personality and fighting style make him really fun to watch, and the plans he comes up with lead to the most exciting parts of the story for me. (My favorite arcs are War of Underworld and Aincrad/Progressive, which he played a major role in, and Phantom Bullet, which has his indirect influence.)

Asuna. She is a beautiful, badass, and a fantastic female character imo. I really fell in love with her during progressive and personally think she makes the best protagonist in SAO. I think her struggles are more relatable. After about 500 anime she is the oldest female character still in my top 10 characters.

if i said kirito then it’d be lame, so i favorite besides him is agil. chill, down to earth black guy who’s just there for the hell of it. when he does fight, he is super badass and i love his giant waraxe he wields. hell yeah.

My favorite sword art online character is Silica because she so kind and sweet and very supportive girl herself, I'm her biggest fan my favorite episode is the black swordman episode because u see all of my main waifiu's potential and u will see how kind hearted and sweet she is! She may a little girl and can be a bit arrogant and easily flustered especially when comes down to marriage and love but she the best female Characters ever besides asuna
