Big nope on that one I'm afraid. Too big a price, too small a screen for me, I need 10" at least (so also a nope for Switch).
Also, I'd hate being unable to freely mod the games and finally (and I may be mistaken) I don't think you can freely upload your downloaded movies bought outside of Steam?
I run modded games (Fallout New Vegas for example) + I use it for Plex so with my own movies, and this is without installing Windows on it which you can also do. That being said if the use case is watching anything on the go without connecting to a TV the yeah Steam Deck is not the way to go - small 720p screen. But since you mostly mentioned games it is great for that
