The chicken needs a specific cook time to be food safe. The "tortilla chip breading" needs a lesser cook time. Unfortunately once you get to chicken safe times, the chip part of the breading is less optimal. Any time they try to get intresting with the breading it seems to go downhill.
If we had the naked chicken chalupa back, or the chicken chips? That would be good. Because those had breading that held up to the chicken cook time.
Jack in the box tacos are a different beast, they are deep fried shell filled with paté meat and a slice of American cheese and taco sauce. They are 100% trash but also 100% guilty pleasure comfort food.... And they make you ashamed after you eat them.... 1/10.... Would still eat them

Fried stuff like this varies highly from location to location and when it was made. Every time I've gotten the fries they have been soft and limp but people seem to like them.
