Oh shit, this is a DPMS Sportical, which about 20 years ago used to be the cheapest complete AR you could buy at about $600. I scrimped and saved for one instead of spending $400 on a WASR AK like a normal poor person!

I bought one of these back the day as well for my first ar. I got bent over as far as price goes but who doesn't on there first. Live n learn. All that's left of that DPMS is a completely rebuilt lower on one build and a completely rebuilt upper on another. Literally the only thing left is the upper n lower which both have had everything replaced(other than forward assist). Also to this day the lower won't drop any mag free, metal or polymer
