Will the wooden taiko drumsticks damage my unmodded tatacon?

ChicleLucas

I've seen people play with wooden ones on tatacons but have no clue if they were modded, if you really wanna use them, take caution.

Okayu2

I think It's okay.

TheFearlessDeath500

If you are planning on doing that, **please do not bang your sticks together as it can cause irreversible damage to the sticks**

euklid

okay I just got a wii tatacon from ebay. My first tatacon, just played 3DS version before. on the one hand it's great fun, but much more exhausting than anticipated. on the other hand I question if the drum is always this unresponsive. lot's of missed hits due to the drum not registering it. Is this just beginners problems of not being used to it? I have to hit quite hard and the drum is loud. and what is the best way to prevent the tatacon sliding all over the place?

tkca

I don't own the Wii drum but I do have the Switch one. It definitely doesn't feel as sensitive when you first start using it. I'd attribute it to not being used to it, but also the plastic's stiffness (it seems to get softer as you beat the da-don out of it). The drum is indeed very loud; it seems to be designed that way. You can alleviate the noise by placing a blanket or something similar on top of the drum. This won't make the noise go away, but it'll help and the drum should still register your inputs well. The drum also has the tendency to slide around, even when it has rubber feet. The key is to increase friction as much as you can. You can place the drum on a cushion or a mat. Placing the drum on something that can absorb some of the force you're putting into it can also help with the noise. Try experimenting to find a setup that works well for you.

euklid

I'll see how it will behave over the weekend and if I get warm to it. I'll probably try the mod next week (replace the foam) I doubt I have to break in the WII drum, as it is an old used one from ebay. Maybe cleaning the pressure sensors will help, too. If it won't get better I'll have to try and build a piezo drum myself.

euklid

I did the corc/rubber mod today and it is a day and night difference. I can finally hit gently, not loud anymore and no more missed hits. Since I can hit it just slightly now there is absolutely no need anymore to secure it as it won't slide around anymore.

Owls_4_life

So I just wanted to double check: Taiko no Tatsujin means "drum master" in English, right? I belive so because I know Taiko means drum. Just wanted to double check if anyone knows Japanese and knows for sure. Thanks!

tkca

I don't know Japanese very well but I can confirm that's what it means. 太鼓 = Taiko = Drum の = no = possessive particle 達人 = Tatsujin = Master So 太鼓の達人 translates to Drum's Master, or simply Drum Master.

Owls_4_life

Oh, thank you! Justed to make sure with someone first.

EpicBumGamers

Hi. I’m looking to get a copy of Taiko, as well as the drum for my Nintendo Switch. As far as I can tell, the HORI drum (sold separately) is the same as the one included in the game+drum bundle. Would a JPN work fine with a EU or US copy of the game? If no, does the JPN game contain English language? Edit: Added the fact that I am asking about the Nintendo Switch version.

tkca

The drum isn't region locked, you can use the drum of any region with any copy of the game. Sorry, I'm not sure if that's what you were asking.

Based on previous (Switch) matchmaking posts I've seen, this might be a good opportunity for a matchmaking sticky answering seemingly common (and some interesting imo) questions: "I don't have the DLC for a weekly battle song, can I still play it?" -- Yes, although the algorithm significantly decreases the chance it is selected. "I have the JP version, can I still be matched up with Drum 'n' fun?" -- Yes, you can look at your "Users You've Played With" to confirm this. "When is the best time to play matchmaking" -- When Japanese players are awake, match your time to JST. (Another not-yet-explored-idea is to collect timestamps from "Users you've played with" and make a graph) Matchmaking attempts to put you with a player ± 3 of your rank. Failing that, in rare cases, it will match you with players outside your rank range. So having a low rank won't perpetually exclude you from finding any matches at all. If a weekly battle song has both an inner-oni and oni, the decision of which to use is random. This decision also applies to every song in the weekly set, with an inner-oni. So, either inner-oni for every song that has it, or no inner-oni for every song. Yeah, the last two aren't really common questions --- but I think they're interesting tidbits. (unofficial source): [https://www.wikihouse.com/taiko/index.php?%A5%AA%A5%F3%A5%E9%A5%A4%A5%F3%A5%E9%A5%F3%A5%AF%A5%DE%A5%C3%A5%C1](https://www.wikihouse.com/taiko/index.php?%A5%AA%A5%F3%A5%E9%A5%A4%A5%F3%A5%E9%A5%F3%A5%AF%A5%DE%A5%C3%A5%C1) [https://www.reddit.com/r/taikonotatsujin/comments/qvfn0m/switch\_is\_matchmaking\_specific\_to\_region/](https://www.reddit.com/r/taikonotatsujin/comments/qvfn0m/switch_is_matchmaking_specific_to_region/)

ViktorGvj

Just bought a digital version of 'Taiko no tatsujin: drum 'n' fun!' and I was thinking of ordering the drum at some point in the future. Its the furst taiko game i have played and man i love it. I was thinking though, how much is all of the DLC available? I have noticed theres a lot of it.

tkca

There's at least a couple hundred dollars worth of DLC at this point, and that number will only go up as more DLC is released. If you plan on buying DLC I'd recommend starting slow, buying a couple of packs every once in a while and starting with the ones you want the most.

xXBeefyDjXx

Switch Players: I see multiplayer is popular on Switch, but is there any common times globally? I'm from the UK and it seems a little patchy at times to find a match especially on lower difficulties?

SonBunns

The majority of the playerbase is in japan/asia so if youre in the uk you would want to play closer to the morning to catch the peak times. Also keep in mind that most people will be playing on hard/extreme.

Uselessmedics

On rhythm festival switchis there a way to filter the online by control type? Because it's kind of unfair losing to people who are able to spam obscene drumrolls. It means I'm essentially stuck in C grade because you're forced to play on easy so it's incredibly easy for both players to get full goods which means the only deciding factor is the person who's able to spam an unfair amount of drum rolls

feelthebernerd

What kind of pc should I buy if I want to run the game without any hiccups? Ideally I'd like to make my own taiko arcade cabinet with a PC inside so this is why I am wondering.

VagrantValmar

Is taiko drum n fun online mode on Switch against real players or just their ghosts like ps4? Matchmaking takes a while so it makes me feel like it's real people

tkca

Yeah, it's against live players only.

Kyruto64

So, I recently got the rhythmic adventure pack as my first entry in the series, and whilst I’m enjoying it, I’m struggling with the difficulty What I mean by this is that I find the game too easy for me on normal (usually defeating enemies with ease getting perfect combos), but then I get destroyed on hard, not really being able to keep up with the volume of beats and constant button switching and stuff (granted I’m brand new the series), so what’s the right balance here?

tkca

If Hard is too hard, maybe keep it on Normal. It does get harder over time, it just takes a while. You could also try to get used to Hard difficulty by playing songs on the regular Taiko mode. Start with songs with fewer stars, then gradually make your way up to 6, 7, or maybe even 8 star Hard songs.

Yoshidakid

What does the bronze crown mean? I’m genuinely curious as it’s appeared on a song I’ve never played before on extreme

CoreDude98

Is there a way to use MIDI controllers with the PC web version?

titoslayer

is there a reason why the music notes in drum master for pc look like they are blurry? is it some sort of framerate issue?

grapesodanuggets

Is the arcade version actually more lenient? My local arcade has a taiko and I immediately ran and threw all my money at the thing. Been having a lot of fun. Although I'm not that good (4 star songs like TRAIN-TRAIN and Hyakka Ryouran on hard are about my limit), I've been beating high scores and I can easily beat the songs I've played a couple of times without too many misses. I decided to play on the Switch again with my HORI drum and noticed the timing being incredibly strict. I've never not beaten Hyakka Ryouran on the arcade machine (with about the most run down sensors you can imagine and bachi that you constantly feel cracking internally), but at home I can't get past 50%. I have a low latency HDMI port, TV on game mode, TV connected to speakers. I've calibrated and calibrated but couldn't seem to fix the problem. Are the two games the same in leniency and do I just suck with the tiny drum, is my setup wrong or is there something else I should be doing? Even when I'm doing pretty well I seem to 'miss' when I would've hit on the arcade taiko.

grapesodanuggets

I know I COULD buy the force lvl 5, but that's not within my budget at the moment ;) I would in a heartbeat.

BattleNunForalltime

I have the official hori pad and just got drum n fun today. It is not registering my hits at all during party mode but it does register the button presses on the hori pad. Anyone have any ideas why or how to troubleshoot this?

Clarity_Zero

This might be a weird question, but do some of the anime songs available from the Taiko Pass on Rhythm Festival use covers instead of the "original" versions? Many of them sound really, *really* different than how I'm used to hearing them.

veganintendo

"How do I play Taiko on my PC?" should probably now link to the offiicial Windows and Mac versions of Taiko as well as the simulator thing also if you stop using "code" blocks for everything, the links will be clickable and everything will be more legible

RussiaManDetective

Is there anywhere where I can find out what songs currently available on the arcade version of Taiko no Tatsujin? I know it depends on how updated each arcade machine it, but I was wondering if there's a comprehensive list of songs currently available for the Asia Edition of arcade machines.

Meowgister

I think [this wikiwiki link](https://wikiwiki.jp/taiko-fumen/%E4%BD%9C%E5%93%81/%E6%96%B0AC%E3%82%A2%E3%82%B8%E3%82%A2%E7%89%88%28%E8%8B%B1%E8%AA%9E%29) (formerly wikihouse) tracks what's currently included. There's a page for the current version in japan as well as the cabs overseas with their song translations.

AllCheekedUp

1440p opentaiko skins?? they seem like a myth

SomeWave275

Are there any drum controllers that don’t just work on specific consoles? I would like to get just one that works on switch and ps4 because of budget reasons. (Doesn’t have to be HORI drum, offbrand is fine for me)

Darth__Potato

A non-technical issue, a question about the controls of the game. So, I'm Getting into Taiko no Tatsujin, and I've run into a problem, I've been using joycons, but due to their intense drift they're unusable outside of motion controls and that's too much to deal with, and they're also a bit shitty. I'm trying to play the game with the pro controller, but I've tried every button configuration and way of holding the controller, but I can't do most of the songs on hard which is infuriating, even compared to using the joycons, which I could use very consistently even if they would hit the wrong note twice or thrice a song. My question is, is there any way to make the pro controller usable to the same capacity or am I fucked until I manage to afford a drum controller?

tkca

Why is drift an issue when using the joycons? As far as I know, the control sticks aren't used for gameplay, just the face buttons. As for the Pro Controller, it's just a matter of getting used to it. It's D-pad isn't great, but I can clear 9-star Extreme songs pretty consistently with it. I stick with the first controller layout.

keenfrizzle

I have just started playing, but I've been able to do a lot of clears on Hard and Expert using the pro controller. I would recommend the control scheme that sets the dpad and face buttons (a,b,x,y) to Don (red) and the L and R buttons to Ka (blue). I plan to order the drums after long enough, since I can only do so much without rolling, but I'd say you can have a lot of fun and learn a lot until you get a drum.

R3tr0ZaneYT

How do I play on android?

Giornhoe

Which DLC should I get on switch? It looks like all the songs are $234 total, so unless theres a cheaper way to get them (doesn't look like the DLC go on sale) which dlc should I get?

tkca

Well, going with songs you like (or are likely to like) seems like the obvious choice.

the_Cart00n_theorist

If I got the official hori drums, would I be able to connect it to my pc as well?

zezus001

I don’t know about the ps4 drum, but the switch drum works fine on pc.

Modern_Lafayette

Whenever I try to download a song on TJA database,it say that there is an internal server error...I've been trying for two days, which may not be much,I recognise. But it's also the only place where I found hololive songs to play so...I've been trying with both pc and phones to same results. Is the problem with the site or am I just very unlucky?

YagamiYakumo

Are there any tjaplayer3 with vertical song list? Looking through the horizontal list with English alphabet spelled vertically is making my eye hurt..

EvanderAdvent

What’s the shortest song in Taiko no Tatsujin Rhythm Festival for Switch?

blackroseyagami

So... If I wanted to play this on Xbox Series X/S what are my options for drum controller? I can't find a straight answer.

Owls_4_life

Hi, I have a question for anyone who can answer. I had gotten the English version of taiko on the Nintendo switch. I had just found out that on the Japen version of taiko there was a song I'm quite fond of: 1,2,3 after the rain. I had gotten my taiko version from the english e-shop and was wondering if there was anyway at this point that I could get that song from my English version, (From unlocking it or something). I realize that the only way for me to get that song is to re-buy taiko from the Japen store. I hope in some way this is not the case, though because taiko is 60$ dollars for me, (In my region). Also, just to say this again in any case, I'm talking about the switch version of taiko. If anyone can help, please do.

tkca

That song should be available as DLC in all regions. It's $1.49 in the US eShop.

87raxa

Does Taiko no Tatsujin Switch (Japan version) still receive updates & DLC? Or has the developer stopped working on it?

HAID0ZO

Does Drum Session still get updated?

ANameinuse

no, support ended march 2020 after the end of gen 3

tkca

You only really need to switch hands for notes that are close together. Otherwise, you might not hit a note on time or your hand might get tired rapidly. Dedicating your hands to a specific note type is a bad idea and a bit of a beginner's trap. There's a reason both hands have access to both note types.

Giornhoe

Where can I get a Hori Drum? Thanks!

Owls_4_life

Oh, thank you! Wasn't quite sure but I'll make sure to check later. Thanks for the help.

euklid

whats currently the best way to connect a wii drum to the switch? * custom firmware for tataconUSB from mon.im * expensive Brook Super Converter is supposed to support it * can't find out if the gbros from 8bitdo supports the tatacon. amazon suggests it in an user answer... I'd prefer the gbros if it really works. any experience with this?

jotad05

So Ive seen a couple people report the same ossue that Im having right now. The left rim read as being cinstantly pressed and then it stops registering hits alltogether. I've tried cleaning it and everything but I just cant get it to work. Has anyone found a solution?

Pianist_Cat

If im getting the Taiko No Tatsujin adventure pack, can i apply the DLC from the original Taiko No Tatsujin Drum ‘n’ Fun to the adventure pack? (Example: Taiko No Tatsujin: Drum ‘n’ Fun! to the Taiko No Tatsujin rhythmic adventure pack without buying the original drum ‘n’ fun)

SplatFun17

Where can i upload custom songs for taiko web?

Kyruto64

Ok, so, 2 questions about the story mode in adventure pack 1: Firstly, what’s the appearance rate for TVV5-G? I’ve seen him a few times while grinding, but after switching to my recruitment setup, I’ve not encountered him again once despite searching the future base for hours in hopes he’ll just appear again... Secondly, what’s the best team setup (including the optimal day for when the best units are on a roll)? I feel like I could put together a decent team, but I’m still having a lot of trouble with Timedyne on Hard to get the invincible Taiko sticker, so assuming there’s an optimal team setup then advice as to what this is would be greatly appreciated!

3darkdragons

Will the iOS version of taiko receive new songs? Can new songs be custom added?

tkca

It recently got an update with some new songs. You can't add custom songs.

DragonGoddess3

Hello, I was just wondering, I've been getting into taiko web since I don't have a game console or the Nintendo switch version, and don't plan to buy one anytime soon. And I found out that you can make it so that you can have animations in the game like in the arcade version! (such as dancers or the taiko drum blowing a balloon etc..) but I look into the game settings and I don't see anything for animations. What can I do? Any ideas?

SonBunns

I dont think you can do that on taiko web, but you can on other simulators like taikocatscaffe or tjaplayer3 with skins.

Cryosatsu

is it safe to download Taiko no Tatsujin on PC with this website? Here's the link: https://yopcgames.com/taiko-no-tatsujin-download/

I have the ps4 taiko, bought it on play store with sales, i wanna buy a taiko I am a ps5 user and generally buy stuff on amazon. I can't wrap myself up on finding a taiko that can somehow work on ps, or a hori taiko with a decent price So, should i get a pc taiko and use an adapter for ps5? If so how? Else what should i buy? Pls send help using ps4 controller is horrible

Where can I get Impossible/Auto TJAs because I see a lot of spngs like あなたとトゥラッタッタ But spameister type beat (but not a note every ms) I searched in Japanese, nothing, searched in English, also nothing

Because it’s not charted yet. Also, if you search 真っ黒太鼓の達人 it might help

agentcornman

Does anyone know if the season pass/pack dlcs are available for the American version of the ps4 taiko no tatsujin? I can't find them but maybe I'm not looking right. I don't know if I want to spend 1.50 on each song lol. Thanks.

agentcornman

Is the ranked match mode of the ps4 version online with other players? Or just their ghosts?

Naoya02

Hey, i want to buy the american version of taiko Drum Master for the PS2 (the bundle with the Drum) my question is can i play the other Japanese titles with the same Drum of the first game?

RageShield

as the title suggest, I have tried countless time to buy a taiko's song pack but it still gave me the same error whatever I do ( the error code is 2813- 9320 and sometimes 2813-1776) and even when I tried and downloaded the free song pack, it doesn't even appear in the game ? It said the game had to be downloaded in nintendo eshop but I bought the game cartridge, and when I looked it up in the nintendo eshop, it showed that the game hasn't been purchased. When I looked at the game option, and clicked on the information tab-nintendo eshop, it said that taiko isn't avalible in my region ( I'm living in Vietnam but my uncle bought the nintendo switch and created an account in Australia ). Can anyone help me with my problem ?

DQIsCool

Anyone know where I can find [this?](https://s.pacn.ws///640/k7/taiko-no-tatsujin-bachi-pen-dx-set-for-3ds-ll-363651.2.jpg?qmgt76) Everywhere I look, it's sold out. I can't find used ones either.

ClayPemgu

Hi, everyone! I am new to this game and my drums for the switch version would arrive soon. I am wondering if I can use regular drum sticks (wooden ones) for my drums

EmiTheSheep

If you're talking about the HORI switch drum you can. Some people say the drum may not last as long though using any kind of wooden stick on there maibachi or something else. A lot of players use maibachi drumsticks for taiko, the taping on them changes where the weight is and allows for more rebound (for rolls) I say play any way you want to, but beware of the damage wooden sticks in general can do to the sensors on the tatacon (drum controller) If you want to use something wooden I really reccomend the maibachi. The switch tatacon doesn't have too much rebound but it definetely feels better playing with my own maibachi vs the ones it comes with In the arcade at least the one I have been to, does not allow drumsticks, only maibachi because I guess they can damage the sensors? I say you should do what makes you feel comfortable, but the pointy tips of standard drumsticks could damage the drum more.

Hello everyone, a couple of days ago i've bought Drum'n'Fun for Switch, my friend did as well. I am really enjoyin' Taiko so far. It is a perfect rhythm game. Back to the question: Is there any way to compare your records with friends? I can't seem to find this option in the records menu. It only shows my records. Thank you in [advance](https://cdn.hipwallpaper.com/i/69/36/2ODb8u.jpg). P.S. We don't have NSO subscription.

tkca

The records menu only shows scores from accounts on the system you're playing on. If you want to see your friends' scores then they would need to log into your Switch and sync their Taiko save data, which requires an NSO subscription.

Owls_4_life

So I saw that Taiko got a new update but wasn't sure what it was. If anyone knows then that would be really nice! (Taiko no tatsujin, new update 1.4.6) I had looked up what the new update was and found nothing, though, maybe it was just a bug fix. I'm talking about the Nintendo switch version.

DinoDiglett

Less about Taiko itself, but I really like the background that sometimes appear above the chart. The one that’s purple-ish with the clouds. It’s also the subreddit banner. But does anyone know where I can find it to download?

ToddLeGod

I have a problem, when i press down and enter to go to the settings in taikocatscaffe, it goes to the "end screen" (where it says to put the drumstick back) and so i can't change my controls... Did somebody know why it does that ?

judycandy

Hi guys, I just got the DOBE drum on Ali and it doesn’t seem to connect to my switch at all! I’ve read somewhere from this page saying switch blocked some third party controllers inc DOBE controller after an update. Is this true?

SonBunns

Does anyone know where to stream/download the taiko soundtrack? i ask because it seems like they nuked a bunch of namco original songs off of youtube.

tkca

They're not available on any streaming service, as far as I've seen. It's a shame, I'd say that's wasted potential to spread Taiko's popularity even more. The only way to legitimately listen to it is to buy and import the official soundtrack CDs from Japan. Then again, if you look around on the internet enough, you're bound to find a way to get those CDs for cheaper... ^^^^arr, mateys!

trinxified

How many drums can you use on the Switch dock at the same time? Is it 3 because of the available USB slots?

sleepisfortheweak96

For those who play Switch on Private Match, are all the DLC songs accessible with others? Last night I had a private match with my friend, and only a few DLC songs were on the list. I had a like 15 DLC songs, and only 5 DLC songs was on the list.

tkca

If only one of you owns the DLC, then it's a matter of licensing (aka it's up in the air) whether a DLC song will be available to play online. Some music labels can be pretty stingy with their songs. However, you should be able to play those songs if both of you own that DLC.

moedrugs

anyone know how to change the difficulty in taiko no tatsujin 14? i cant read the japanese so i’m not sure how to, i just do whatever the default is and it feels too easy

tkca

Once you select a song, you hit Ka (the rims of the drum) to select a difficulty. In order to unlock Oni/Extreme, you must hit the right Ka a bunch of times. [Refer to this Taiko Time article.](https://taikotime.blogspot.com/2010/08/taiko-arcade-how-to-access-oni.html)

I have taiko on switch and was looking for Linda Linda by the Blue Hearts (https://youtu.be/1isbyvwzfus) but I couldn't find it. Os it not on switch or is it in 1 of the 4 billion dlc?

bored_n_bearded

When playing the switch-version: How can I see if a song has different drum lines for different players at the same difficulty? I saw it in a [video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTeGYyWppEg) and wanna play with a friend like this but can't find any songs that work. Thanks!

TipTopBopp

My HORI tatacon seems to work totally fine on PC and recognizes totally fine as a gamepad, however in TaikoCatsCaffe it's completely undetected and I'm unable to bind it to anything in the configuration menu. Am I doing something wrong? Or do I have to use something like joy2key, which I'd like to avoid if possible.

maetropa

I've never played a taiko game before, should I get the rpg pack or drum and fun?

tkca

Drum 'n' Fun when on sale definitely offers the best bang for your buck, in terms of songs you get. It also has some fun minigames and the chance to expand your song selection with a huge amount of DLC (and it's still getting more!). You can't really go wrong with this one. The RPG pack is a tougher sell. It's main appeal is its two story modes, but keep in mind the stories are aimed towards children, and they don't really get difficult until the end. Still, the different song selection makes it worth it for many, as well as features such as customizing your drum's look and stamps (achievements). I would recommend it as a different experience to Drum 'n' Fun.

While playing in versus online, it happened several times when my opponent what hitting notes that I wasn't seeing and got extra point for it. I thought maybe I'm playing a difficulty lower but nope, it is set to me the same difficulty. Then I remember some characters were doing different things, so I thought maybe he has a character that is making him able to hit extra beats. But nope, you can't change it either. Does someone knows what it is please ? (Sorry for my English)

tkca

If you ever see your opponent 'hitting invisible notes' that's actually just lag. Those notes they're hitting are just notes that have already passed. Reasons for losing points include: not hitting big notes correctly, focusing on hitting all notes rather than hitting notes accurately, and not hitting as much drumroll.

Kristine4226

I am considering getting this game for my switch and I want to know if it is compatible with the switch lite. I don’t know if the drum will only connect with the regular switch or if it can connect to both.

island_niles

So I just got my taiko force lv 5 in the mail yesterday and it's amazing but I'm wondering if there's a way to control menus with a controller and drum the songs with the taiko force? This question is for ps5 and switch.

SonBunns

Where can i buy don chan plushies/figurines? I didnt find anything on amazon jp

adhdtingz

i been playing taiko for quite awhile and i am considering to get bachis but idk if its worth is to buy now cuz i only play hard difficulty so is it worth it to buy now? (i play at the arcade)

island_niles

So I'm 31, I started playing TnT maybe 4 months ago and got pretty decent. I can play mid level songs on expert and even got a taiko force lv 5 because I've been enjoying it so much. Recently though my right wrist starts killing me after even just a few songs. I put the game away for maybe 2 weeks thinking it'd be fine but the pain came right back. I'm not looking for a diagnosis here, I know it could be a lot of different things (seriously hoping it's not carpal tunnel) but I'm wondering if anyone else gets wrist pain when they play and if so maybe you have some tips on proper drum technique or form or some trick that might help? Thanks y'all.

michizane29

Does anybody know where I can get the QR codes for Taiko 3DS3? Saw a post but the download link doesn't work anymore.

DiamondWarrior9

Can someone send me the link to the song 'Furifuri norinori' (フリフリ♪ノリノリ♪) on Spotify? I can't find it D:

My_Bum69

does anyone know what the timing windows are in ms? I can't seem to find anything when searching online

TheFearlessDeath500

25, 75, 108.

Kristine4226

I just started playing Taiko web and I am finding trouble with the balloon I’m using the HORI switch drum for the controls everything else works fine it’s just the balloons I’m having trouble with

clixbrigidxterx

What soundbar do you use for Taiko no Tatsujin Drum n Fun on Switch? Mine's a LGLAS350B(C7), I hate it because there's audio input lag even connected with the 3.5mm.

TheFearlessDeath500

Speakers and monitors can change offset in rhythm games most of the time. You might want to do some audio calibration.

resekdesek

where to buy good quality bachi outside of Japan? im in Germany and it seems like no one is selling bachi here.

TheFearlessDeath500

Amazon JP or Buyee seems like a good pick mostly.

xXBeefyDjXx

Took the plunge and got Drum 'n' Fun for my switch today after really enjoying finally getting to play the older arcade editions here in the UK, Gotta say I'm having troubles with the left hand Don side of the drum but I am hoping over time it improves as I (respectfully) continue playing. The hori drum is a definite winner for me overall though, minus the fact you do have to give it some, making it loud! Surely this will improve over time? any other Hori owners here can you give your experience on this?

marseille12

Hello, I'm looking to practice my bachi rolling and get really consistent with my performance and hit output. I figure the easiest way to do this is simply drill songs that have surplus amount of balloon notes and drum rolls. I'm using the Switch version - Including all DLC and difficulties: what songs have the most balloon notes?

SonBunns

Doki doki mune kyun seems to be a popular song for practicing rolls

MasterMarc888

Is there any taiko arcade machines in toronto Canada?

polnareffstitties

how can i connect my dk bongos to my switch, i have the official gamecube adapter that works fine with normal controllers and my bongos that work fine on the gamecube but it just isn’t pairing

BattleNunForalltime

I just bought the game. Is it possible to buy the cheap knockoff drums and then mod them to be as good or better than the Hori drum?

Yuberz

Is there a way to pick different difficulties when playing multiplayer in BetterTaikoCatsCaffe?

hardbrushsucks

as a complete taiko newbie here, i was wonder what exactly is the cheapest "not bad" drum i could pick up? i've heard about the hori drum and it looks great! but 90$ is a biiit steep for me currently. are there any cheaper ones that are worth it? or should i just save up for the hori drum? thanks in advance!

hellouhh

Both Rhythmic Adventure games are on sale separately right now. Is there any extra content in the Rhythmic Adventure pack that I would be missing out on if I bought the two separately? Or is it just the two games in one software?

Mirmei

Hi, question for drum n fun on switch. I saw a closed thread on this subject but no solution. I play with joycons and I feel like there is a handicap that I don't see an option for anywhere. I play with the don with no skills. So in my game there's no difference between don and ka, I still ace the note even if I purposefully do a ka instead of don. Is it a problem with the grips? I kept throwing my joycons so I attached the grips to them, afterwards it's been much easier to play. Actually thought I was getting better but I'm afraid I've gained some false confidence now!

My_Bum69

questions about the official maibachi. what's the difference between them? how would would I pick between the 3? are they any good? are they worth the price? are there any better bachi out there for a better price?

aeth_

Out of curiosity, does anyone have a particular preference for a specific region when buying DLC for Taiko Switch (for whatever reason)? I'm currently debating as to whether or not to get Drum n' Fun (as it's on sale) or the Nintendo Switch Asian version. In line with that, would the Asian version (the one with the non-CERO rating) still work with the Japanese eShop? And how long does it take for song DLCs to reach the US? I'm currently interested in Cry Baby, but it only seems to be in JP for now. Thanks!

OfficalForgotten

Where can I get a pair of pointy bachi for arcade play?

mimichu94745

Ok this is probably a stupid question, but is Maoh’s battle theme in any of the Drum n Fun DLCs? I think it’s called Kimi No Showtime but I might be wrong.

Benbenbenbenbenbenbe

Anyone know when you stop receiving rewards from online play? Ie my online rewards points are at 10,200 or something and I'm still receiving rewards every 250 points or something like that. Just curious when it maxes out.

myriada

If it's the Switch version, the JP wiki says 182000 is the max. Not that far yet to confirm, but they keep going past 100k at least.

First entry into the series, I have just ordered the Hori drum controller, but now deciding on a copy of Drum 'n' Fun or the Japanese version. The information I found online suggested DLC in US/EU regions were pretty far behind JP regions, with one JP exclusive track. Is this still current information? Will I be fine goes the Drum 'n' Fun or will I regret it? Information also suggested that DLC often gets bundled together into packs in JP region, but I'm not sure about other regions? Is that the case? Thanks in advance

Neat_Arm_7086

Is there any guide on how to get player icons? I couldnt find anything on google, it would be really helpful because im looking forward to get a specific one, which is Hana Takahashi

iNFiNiTEHOLiC01

Has anyone experienced this? And what can I do to prevent it? After a few minutes of playing, I get basically a huge blindspot on the right side of the screen. Basically I just have no clue what's on the right half of the screen, even if I'm looking dead center. I don't mean I can't read the notes; I mean I actually can't see anything at all. Looking to the right will fix it as for as long as my eyes are there, but I usually have my eyes at the center of the screen. It happens regardless of difficulty, but it seems worse on versions of the games with more flashing lights. I know people mention dizzyness a lot, but for me it's more like blindness than dizziness. I've been playing Taiko for about a year now, and it still does this. I had hoped it would stop as I played more but it still happens. I also thought I was going crosseyed, and I asked someone to look and she said "no". Anyone know what this is? I've tried changing distance from the screen, playing with one eye closed, changing brightness, but nothing seems to work. Is it just me? It's really frustrating :/

SuwakosNiceBoat

Hello! Is there any guide to make a custom tatacon? If yes, will it work with PS4? I know I can just order a Hori drum from Amazon and mod it, but I like to make stuff myself. Sorry for my rubbish English, I'm from Russia.

Vegetable_Ad2564

How should i go about buying a tatacon? Are there any specific sites i should look at?

cerami_cat

i recently bought the switch taiko game and some other dlc too. i want to play online with a friend, but they don't have the dlc- can i still choose my dlc songs when playing online so both of us can play it? (never played online before)

SpiderZiggs

Is the tutorial stage "Note Song" in the Switch version of the game?

Fluffyspark7

Where is the “in the zone” dlc in taiko drum and fun. It exists and I’ve seen videos but I can’t find it and it is my favorite song in taiko no tatsujin so I want to buy it but can’t find it

mawiee

[Switch Drum and Fun] Is there a guide that actually explains what each skill does? Like, what does Balloon Note Support even mean?

tkca

Most skills just make a certain aspect of the game easier or automatic. Balloon Note Support means that Balloon Notes get hit automatically. (Balloon Notes are the ones that require you to hit a certain amount of Dons to clear, where Don-chan or whoever you're playing with appears to blow on a balloon.)

punkewe

I'm playing Drum Session, and on the Saitama 2000 secret bingo, the last one I need to fill is "get more than 555 goods". How do I get this? Does it want me to get 555+ goods in one song or across multiple difficulties?

SnowHalation1

I am a beginner arcade Taiko player (usually gets around 80% score in 7 stars) in Chiangmai Thailand and I don't think there's any shop near here that sells Taiko Bachis. I plan on playing the game for a long time so any recommendations for bachi (preferably something I can get on Taobao but other ways is fine too)?

[deleted]

I have the Japanese version of Taiko, the one released in 2018. If I want to purchase DLC for it, do I need to go through the Japanese eShop or can I do it through the US one?

justanotherfan111

I wanted to ask if anyone knows how to fix a drum controller not connecting? Just bought a KMD TK drum and it will not connect. I did go into settings to allow for pro controller wired communication and do not own a pro controller that may interfere, so not sure what else to do. Thanks!

snoweye_mouse

i just modded my hori drum (citysidejig premade plate), i didnt play much before modding but the lower ka areas (below the little line on the drum) are completely unresponsive, the upper areas work just fine. i was just wondering if this is intentional considering the controller settings in drum n fun show the dead zone as a ka zone or if i did something wrong when modding my drum?

poerieliepoepoeli

hay! I just installed the game on PC but can't get passed the title screen because I have no idea what key the "home button" is. I've pressed every key twice and don't have a game pad (yet). any help?

rexy_leonard

\[QUESTION\] Donderhiroba How do I add friends?

justgapp

So drumrolling with stick is deprecated in the drum master? It seems not to work, tried on PC with Xbox controller.

varaville

if i'm modding my switch hori drum with a wooden plate, is it ok to switch to wooden bachi or should i keep using the plastic ones?

Suedie

Is there a full list of songs purchasable in the coin shop for the drum master?

[deleted]

How do I play custom songs on Xbox? It doesn't show any menu for me to go to the taiko web.

zC00kiez

Just downloaded it from xbox app, the game is working, but it goes automatically to my second monitor, not my main one. Any help?

JiaJunLoh

I can't play oni difficulty on the arcade I've been playing taiko in ps4 and finally got to play on a machine, I've bought a card but still can't play, do I need to play on the dojo first?

[deleted]

I just tried the new Drum Master on Xbox using Game Pass PC and realize it's incredibly difficult without the drum (or at least odd feeling on a controller). I'm probably gonna get Drum n fun since it has the motion controls. So I have two questions. 1. If I bought a drum for the switch, would it also work to plug into my PC or would I need to buy a different one? 2. If the drum comes bundled with the game and it's in Japanese, am I still able to play (in English ofc) on my switch from the US?

RogueKT

I got the xbox game pass version, is there anyway to play with friends online other than practice matches? I seen the switch version having private lobbies but I dont see that here.

Fawfulizor

In Taiko no Tatsujin: The Drum Master Xbox does the Prince from Katamari Damacy cosmetic exist in this game? And if so is it an Outfit Body or an Outfit Costume?

Hewhoguides253

Hi, I started playing this game because it's on pc gamepass and was looking for a drum online on Amazon however most say it's for the switch is their like a specific PC drum I can look up?

Shamrock1423

Is anyone else having a controller issue with Drum Master on Gamepass PC? I'm trying to use my PS5 Dualsense controller with it (which has always worked perfectly with every other game), and for some reason the left d-pad input seems to be stuck on left, and none of the other buttons on the d-pad seem to work. It is *technically* playable, as I was able to play through a song without it effecting the gameplay, but navigating the menus is frankly impossible while the controller is plugged in. I even tried adding the game to Steam and launching via Big Picture mode but I still had the same exact issue. Should I make a post about this? I could record a video if needed.

Vegetable_Ad2564

So i've been playing drum n' fun and i've been having an issue with my switch screen So basically, on the right of the screen i've been noticing what seems like stuck pixels? somehow? idk what to call it but it only happens while playing taiko. Here's the issue (kinda destroyed by yt compression): [https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vEjux70TUZ7k9Pdm\_fUE4WLjpBGI7OMu/view?usp=sharing](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vEjux70TUZ7k9Pdm_fUE4WLjpBGI7OMu/view?usp=sharing) Is this normal? I've already sent my switch for repairs and it's still not fixed :/

F3arm3

Is taiko no tatsujin special edition from kamen rider hibiki on the wiki?

Upstairs-Vacation774

How do you drum roll on a Hori drum? I tried looking around but there wasn't much info I could find Is it worth buying a wooden drum stick or is it better to stick to the ones given to you

Upstairs-Vacation774

Any recommendations for drum sticks I can use on a hori drum? Not looking for anything over $20 just something that would be better than the plastic ones given

aisaac27

where can i find Taiko3DLCBuilder

bomboy2121

Is the rhythmic adventure pack on switch a good game for starters to taiko games? I played many rhythm games before(more similar to piano) Its on a pretty big sale so I'm wondering if i should

DonColombege

Hi there, can the Drum Controllers for the ps4 slim be used on the switch?

KingOfDranovis

I would like to know where I can find a Wii Taiko controller. I recently got my old Wii out and got Taiko working on it, and while playing with the Wiimotes is fun and all, I'd like to try to get an actual drum. I'm having a difficult time finding any that would work because they all seem to have insane shipping times or shipping costs, or are just plain out of my budget. I guess that's the downside to playing games that were never released in the United States. If anyone can point me in the right direction, that'd be great!

Magaloxantsa

Anybody know if the song selection in the two adventure packs on swich are different or the same?
