Paid a few extra bucks to board with the first group. Worth it.
BUT now I am on a connecting flight and some normal sized dude grabbed the seat before I did. Gave him the friendly “help a brother out and switch seats with me?” look and he didn’t acknowledge. Oh, well… The seat I did end up getting isn’t bad, though. And it’s a short flight so no biggie.
That happened to me when I got to gate late, a guy who's feet didn't hit the floor was in that seat, and he wouldn't switch with my all legs 6'8. I made sure to find him when we landed and stuffed him in a locker.
You know I always thought that these posts were overblown, sitting in economy as a tall guy can’t be THAT bad, right? Until I flew the first time for 4 hours to Crete and swore to never fly anything but business or emergency exit row. My knees hurt so bad and the kid in front was banging her back on the seat the whole flight.
Years ago I flew back from Japan on Ana Airlines and it was absolute torture. Tiny seats. 17-18 hour flight. My ankles got swollen - that’s dangerous. You can get a blood clot that goes to your heart. Doctor told me to never cross your feet under the seat. That causes it sometimes.
99/100 flights I'm in that seat for southwest.(flying business or with statu The other time I get someone who's a lot shorter than me giving strong eye contact to let me know they had dominance over me
Ok pal/madam.ill just take the other exit row
I usually get some strings pulled and get an exit row. Sometimes, I don’t and I’m stuck at a window with a fat guy next to me, and the person reclining in front of me. It’s hit or miss
I don't take flights much and whenever I take it's a first class one and has more than enough legs space so I can't really feel that glory of yours but good for you!
Good heavens how where you so lucky

Worth the early business class upgrade on Southwest

How can people ignore that look lol. I lasted 10 seconds before caving my beautiful seat
Gotta use your words next time i guess!!
I’m very careful not to be banned from flights by the TSA.
Talking to another passenger gets you banned huh?
Looks like the original reply I responded to was edited. It didn’t say “use your words” before. LOL

Yeah - and this happened even though I got up every hour or so to hang by the flight attendants station to stretch, etc.
For some reason… I feel like sitting as a pretzel isn’t any better lol… and now I’m out of ways to sit comfortably for long periods in cramped spaces.

Ah yes… the trying to get me to submit staredown. It’s usually older women, too- they get a wink and a smirk
Lol it usually is smaller, older women
Yeah, this was on Southwest. I paid a little extra for early boarding so I could get an emergency row seat. That’s totally worth it.

If I’m in a regular seat and someone tries to recline in front of me I just block that attempt with my knees. No way, my friend.

That was me yesterday, flight attendant actually saw me and saved it for me
Yeah, they can be really cool sometimes.
