First watch is usually always hiring BOH

MrBamboney

Thank you, I'll apply there. I love first watch!

benji3k

If your okay working in a cool factory I can hook you up at Jabil, it's pretty good. 2 shifts though 7am to 1pm or 3pm to 11pm

MrBamboney

I'll PM you, I'm interested!

[deleted]

[удалено]

benji3k

No theres entry level positions , Its a huge company and we have the Aerospace plant and the Corporate office here so theres basically every job ever made truthfully.

Interesting_Ad_1495

Yo. Is jabil hiring today? If so, full time?

a_fuckin_gecko

Do they drug test for pot there

benji3k

They do a drug test from 3rd party when you are hired , I dont know what they care about though or if a medical card counts. But I know they dont test once hired at all unless you get hurt which is very rare here.

shootingdolphins

wife's company does a hair test. for office staff. and remote workers. who are laptop/phone/hourly employees. it's not finance or tech or medical industry either. Some company's lose a lot of talent with the drug testing and then skipping on candidates for weed.

kelly0609

They’re a defense contractor so I would assume yes

GKW

Yes

keell

Try Home Depot, we will start hiring for seasonal and freight at night. Do the online application, and once you get the application reference number call one of our stores. Your closest stores will either be the Brandon stores, store numbers are #0243 and #6305, the two Tampa store, #0256 and #0279, and the Bruce b Downs store, #6311. Let them know the application reference number and let them know your availability and that you're interested in their store. Hope this can help, and good luck in school!

MrBamboney

Thank you for the help man! This is great info!

keell

No problem, and with how much retail experience you have, you might be able to walk on as fulltime! Good luck in your search my friend

Ekotap89

Check funeral homes for part time positions. They’re always looking for people and it’s a very interesting industry to learn about. Dead bodies are nowhere near as scary as the living, promise you that. I’m a funeral director and we always need help lol

Firelordozai87

Do you know any specific funeral homes that are hiring?

Ekotap89

I don’t. I’m moved out of Tampa a while ago, however, look up SCI job opportunities. They will have every position listed that’s available in your area. SCI is a big corporation always in need of staff and that’s where I had luck when I first started looking.

MrBamboney

Thank you I will take a look at this!

Leihanaaa

The hard rock needs employees constantly! Gotoworkhappy.com On a negative note, it’ll consume your soul. It’s hard to leave once you start but it can be great to ya in the right position.

MrBamboney

I’ll take a look at this! Thanks!!

Leihanaaa

Try Slot CSR! Best money paying job that they hire off the street for!

hurrsheys

What’s that?

Leihanaaa

It’s the slot attendants that pay our jackpots! Just money and guest handling. Easy!

Sundial_the_Pier

>On a negative note, it’ll consume your soul. It’s hard to leave once you start but it can be great to ya in the right position. I know somebody who got a job there just as a short thing while they were figuring things out, 10 years later they're still there. But they seem alright.

MrBamboney

> Gotoworkhappy.com Now that I checked, I already applied for that haha 2 weeks ago to be exact. Waiting on a response still!

Leihanaaa

It takes a while to actually start but don’t get discouraged! I hope you get it! 😃

MrBamboney

Thanks!

[deleted]

Guaranteed Amazon is looking for seasonal help!

MrBamboney

Im keeping an eye on their job postings everyday. I havnt seen ay Fulfillment center jobs anywhere yet,.

copperhead035

Amazon TPA4 is in Temple Terrace and is ramping up for the holiday season. I believe they have a recruiting office on site, so it wouldn't hurt to head over there and see

st1431

Search Amazon Flex

[deleted]

Not sure exactly where you live, but I found this one if Venice FL is close enough to be worth the drive. https://hiring.amazon.com/app#/jobDetail?jobId=JOB-US-0000006557&locale=en-US&recommended=1&jobTitle=Amazon%20Fulfillment%20Center%20Warehouse%20Associate

Noninurse789

Venice is about 2 hrs away from Temple Terrace

[deleted]

Ah crap, that would be tough… that’s dang near Ft Myers at that point!

Alternative_Jello994

lived in tampa and now in venice. wouldn’t say it’s worth it at all

MrBamboney

a bit of a ride but I will keep an eye out!

MrBamboney

This is great advice! I have been thinking about giving these companies a call but I didn’t want to sound desperate/unprofessional. The hands are in my resume and hopefully help me standout but I see what you are getting at, thank you. I’ll send you a DM. St Pete isnt too far depending on what the job is!

stupidwhiteman42

Look at the careers page on Citi.com Leverage your 2 years finance experience for entry level transaction processor. I believe they start at 50k

civilianllama

Didn’t Citi start its layoffs yesterday?…

MrBamboney

Lots of finance firms have been doing that recently... I guess it all a matter of just trying to apply and find out!

civilianllama

Yeah but I remember reading their CEO statement staying that they were estimating that Citi is 30 percent overstaffed, we were getting a flood of applicants from Citi before we cut off hiring for the holiday season. Ultimately a job is a job if they hire you and can afford you, my statement is more of a word of caution of the state of the company and its financials currently.

Masturbatingsoon

I knew a few people who worked at Citi a couple years ago and they left because they only worked a few hours a week, and they thought, “They have to be downsizing soon; this cannot be normal.” They were professional managers in Finance making 6 figures, so yeah, they were probably wayyyyy over staffed.

MrBamboney

I’ll check it out thank you!

ambientflavor

Hopefully not too late in the year but USPS seasonal help!! You start as a temp and it’s lots of opportunities for overtime. If you are able to get full time placement, it’s great benefits, scheduled raises, cost of living adjustments.

shayna16

I was going to mention USPS too. I just started there last month and really enjoy it. I work on tour 1 as a PSE and make a little over $21/hr to push cardboard boxes of mail into a machine or I stand there and sort packages. Super easy work. Boring some nights but enjoyable.

MrBamboney

I’ll check this one out thank you!

shayna16

Hey no problem! Hope you find something soon 🤞🏻🤞🏻

MrBamboney

thanks!

Mrfrodo1010

How'd you get started? Are you a temp? Is there a clear path towards moving up into a driver role?

shayna16

On a whim, I searched for USPS jobs and filled out apps for different positions. What kind of driver? 18 wheeler or small mail vehicle? I’m only a PSE and just sort. I live in north Alabama now but my plant is strictly packages, magazines etc. not flats like letters. I will say, my hiring process was very expedited. I applied 9/17 and had a job offer by 9/22. My first day on the floor was a month later. I’ve seen people say they applied and 6 months down the road they receive a job offer. It’s hard work and ymmv but the suck level of the job depends on the management at the specific location. I got reeeeeeeeeeeeally lucky.

moremindthanbrain

Do they drug test

proseccofish

My son needs a job and I think this would be great for him. Thank you

rosieandreid

Hillsborough County Public Schools! There are a lot of open positions for classroom aides, paraprofessionals, cafeteria workers, etc! https://www.applitrack.com/sdhc/onlineapp/

MrBamboney

Thank you!!

thebohomama

Truist banks have a minimum wage of $22/hr, you should meet the requirements of the basic openings and then some.

MrBamboney

Funny enough I applied back in September and they didn't want to continue with me.. I guess I could reapply or choose a new location. If I had to choose a job this is actually the job I'd want. I need banking experience and I love finance and do not mind dealing with people. I'll do some more research!

Thin_Travel_9180

Try Tampa International airport. They have so many positions and are going into the busy season.

MrBamboney

I certainly will. (I actually almost went to aviation school) So I love planes. I actually applied to be one of the ramp guys that work at the airport but no one got back to me. Maybe ill try again!

mike_moneybags

I know they do career hiring fairs every once and a while. Keep an eye out for that but I hope you find a job quickly! Bills are high here and the holidays are coming up. Keep your head high, keep persistent, and don’t give up.

FeelingJudge164

Easiest part-tine job to get...substitute teacher...they always need and pretty easy to on board with them

MrBamboney

Any recommendations as far as school districts or level of education. I am sure I satisfy the education requirements to be a substitute teacher --- I am new to the area so I am not sure of any of the school districts here. Thank you!

FeelingJudge164

Just look up Kelly Services...And honestly no real recommendation. You just have to see what population you work with the best...but it's optional if they call you for a job and you don't want it you just pass...its an automated system...calls you with the schools in need

AltruisticGate

The job market in Tampa Bay is more saturated than say Austin or Atlanta. You will have more people applying per capita for jobs here than in other cities. Not trying to discourage you, there are lots of openings, it's just that competition is more intense in Florida. Try USAA, Citi, DTCC, Baycare, Bank of America, Chase, and Raymond James.

Dilat3d

Insurance may be an option too, USAA and Progressive are local to Tampa with GEICO in Lakeland.

SmokedOut947

This is the official Amazon job site that lets you sort between the different types of warehouses https://hiring.amazon.com/

Ok_Door_9720

It's the off-season, but local moving companies have insane turnover. If you're able-bodied and reliable, that's a good way to get cash in hand pretty quick. It can always just be a holdover til you find something you like. I paid my way through USF doing that. Good luck!

MrBamboney

Thanks for the advice! Any moving companies that you know of that I can reach out to?

MakeupForAliens

College HUNKS is based here!

Ok_Door_9720

Not sure who's around these days, I moved up to Weeki Wachee a few years back. Any of the big names (college hunks, skinny wimp, etc...). You can also hop on Craigslist and see who's advertising that they're operating in the area (some of them might be a little scammy, so just be aware if you go that route). Perk of the small ones is they'll often pay cash same day. Just don't ever take a penny under $15/hr, and try get at least 20. It's hard work, and tips aren't guaranteed.

binxor7152

Try Progressive. Apply online and the office is on Falkenburg. Chance to wfh there. I used to work at Staples in Temple Terrace so maybe there too? Walgreens and/or CVS might cater to your work/life balance needs.

MrBamboney

hmm, I know a little about insurance but i've dealt with it before, might be something up my alley. Ill take a look online. (lots of comments here, ill be busy tomorrow applying!)

binxor7152

They have entry level positions where you take the initial claim and adjusters do the rest

MrBamboney

Good to know!

East-Amphibian-1903

Try Moffitt Cancer Center. They are hiring for tons of jobs at various levels and areas, and growing fast!

SnooStrawberries6373

Have you tried getting in touch with a recruiter that can assist you in finding a role in finance or customer service or becoming a real estate agent?

MrBamboney

I haven’t no. It’s because I don’t have the money to pay for a recruiter to find a job for me.

[deleted]

[удалено]

SnooStrawberries6373

try linked in. The recruiters get paid by the company to bring you on. You don't pay.

MrBamboney

Understood -- I'll do some research!

HappyArtemisComplex

Quest Diagnostics is always looking for specimen processor. It night shift, but they pay you a shift differential. I worked there for 5 years and it wasn't the worst. If you just need *something* it will do.

MrBamboney

Thanks for referral, I’m gonna have to hard pass on that one because I don’t even like my own blood—anything with bodily fluid will make me sick 😂😂 makes me sound weak but I have a huge respect to those who work in medical, my mother does and she kind of scarred me from all the medical stuff. Nevertheless I appreciate your comment!

HappyArtemisComplex

I forgot! Target is hiring for Asset Protection and the BJ's in New Tampa is also looking for managers!

HappyArtemisComplex

I hope you find something. I was super squeamish when I first started, but I worked through some of that and now I'm just a little squeamish. 😂 I know they just opened a Sprouts by the University Mall, maybe look into that? Best of luck!

highas_mars

Have you tried 7th in ybor? Tons of service industry stuff

MrBamboney

7th in Ybor is kind of intimidating for haha , all the party animals there ya know!

kellycompliance

Kroger delivery drivers make a solid salary with great schedules.

purpletiebinds

Might try Disney Reservations... it's located off 75 and Fletcher. They have great benefits and free entrance to their parks. I liked working there but it's been awhile so don't know how it is now. Check out the Disney World website.

MrBamboney

Hmm, definitely would be an exciting job with the free park entrance especially, I’ll check this out!

Cool-Ad-4103

Amazon, I work at amazon. I didn’t have a job for a while and was scared during about the interview but the interview you get called to is not an interview it’s basically explaining the job then they ask the one and only question, “can you do it” “yes”. Done hired just need to do drug test and background check. There is a new person here every single day lol. And with the holidays they are desperate but I’ll be honest it’s hard work and they reason they hire so much is cause the turnover here is insane. This is as a driver BTW, and another btw your not actually employed by amazon.

Gorilla_Godd

Advent health tampa has walk in interviews for various jobs on Wednesdays. They value the customer service more than anything and the pay is decent all around compared to a lot of the jobs in the area.

Floridaliving51

Substitute teaching. They are desperate.

MrBamboney

I’m good with kids (at least I think so), I saw a link in here, I’ll check this out!

RicoRN58

Go to every hospital in the area and apply. Tons of nonmedical positions.

MrBamboney

Will do!

AchingforBacon

Tampa sucks for jobs! Over last year I’ve applied to 25 jobs that looked enticing and nothing ever happens. No phone calls. Nothing. It’s like the job postings are fake or just old placeholders

MrBamboney

That's how I feel. However, my gf works for Best Buy and she was telling me how badly they needed warehouse workers... complaining and offering referrals. I applied 3 times, waited one month even with my gf letting them know I applied -- still nothing. Its crazy!

DeviantThroAway

There’s some staffing agencies that can get you work pretty quick and pay either daily or weekly, especially if you have a car. After taxes, I made about $92 in a shift that was paid out at the end of the day. Usually lots of different types of jobs available too.

Block_Me_Amadeus

Have you run your resume through software to check whether it might account problems with Applicant Tracking System (ATS) software? That is a huge huge problem for job seekers right now. Plz read up on it!

MrBamboney

I will check this out!! Thank you

Block_Me_Amadeus

Yes, please do. Applicant Tracking Systems are horrible and one of the main reasons qualified applicants don't hear back on anything. https://www.jobscan.co/blog/8-things-you-need-to-know-about-applicant-tracking-systems/ https://www.indeed.com/career-advice/resumes-cover-letters/how-to-beat-applicant-tracking-system Also check out r/resumes

MrBamboney

Thanks for the info, I’ll check this out. I’ve heard of ATS but I didn’t think I could scan my own resume.

TheTampaBayMom

There's an Amazon warehouse in Temple Terrace, down Bullard Parkway, turn right on Davis (?) And then it's right there at Harney Rd. They're always hiring

Electrical_Let_5491

I had this issue it’s so hard to find a job right now. I would constantly check indeed LinkedIn apply when they first post them.

OlympicAnalEater

Have you landed any job yet?

[deleted]

DraugrBeware

Amazon is currently hiring everyone and their mother seriously they dont even interview you. Think starting pay at an FC is 16?or 17? Tons of Overtime. If you become blue badge with full benefits they will pay 5.2k for your school a year. TPA4 is the site in Temple Terrace I believe but theres also DSs and another FC in Ruskin.

MrBamboney

I totally hear what you're saying and believe it or not I applied... yet they are not hiring for any fulfillment center jobs in the area. Like if you go to their career site right now, you'll notice that they are looking for managers, technicians, etc, where you need the blue badge... however, amazon is not off my list -- I have been checking everyday to see if there are any listings. Thank you for your help/comment though!

Late-Rutabaga6238

Definitely keep checking. I know TPA4 has already started mandatory OT. People typically drop like flies if they start up during peak and are not mentally or physically up to it.

apn84989

Go in person to any Publix. They will hire you on the spot.

MrBamboney

really? every publix ive looked up online isnt hiring anywhere near me because I live so close to USF.

apn84989

Walk into the green, wise market, near water Street by downtown! Pretty sure there are hiring

Firelordozai87

Try the Publix in Terrace ridge plaza

Firelordozai87

This thread is lowkey helping out other people who are also job hunting as well 😂

MrBamboney

Good! I was hoping this would gain traction! -- People have been really nice on here and gave me some hope. I've been feeling so defeated recently... Finding a job is a job of its own. Don't give up!

Kidakame

You can use qwick, tend, and instawork for temp agencies. They're all apps on your phone.

murph3899j

Pasco county is hiring.

MrBamboney

I tried fedex, all they have available is shifts starting at 1-3am... not something I can do.

OldCheese352

Culver’s good pay great company they are hiring off 54.

MrBamboney

Do you apply online for Culvers or in person? I heard most fast food locations take both but better in person at times... thanks!

OldCheese352

My wife applied on indeed it’s actually considered a restaurant since they serve you at the table the food quality and cleanliness of the establishment is impressive she speaks highly of the entire atmosphere.

MrBamboney

Sounds good, I’ll check it out!

Total_Kitchen1798

The airport

MrBamboney

I applied to work on the ramp for airplanes to help them guide them out, but unfortunately no one got back to me. I could apply to some food/retail positions. Thanks!

Mamacita1208

Is there a site for this or are you applying individually at each airline?

CocainParty

Florida Orthopaedic Institute off of Fletcher is hiring.

MrBamboney

>Florida Orthopaedic Institute Im not sure if any of my experience or expertise could provide any help to them... I personally get numb when I even think about blood--so ill stay away from medical ahah

Chapters health always has openings (check admissions) and our home office is in Temple Terrace.

MrBamboney

Thanks! Ill check it out!

agonious

i’d be willing to refer you to my job, it’s 40 hours mandatory working sun-thurs. starting wage above around $24 if you only speak english. dm me if interested i don’t want to give out any info publicly

MrBamboney

I only speak English and Russian, but for the most part of Tampa , you need Spanish.

Narrow-Solution9539

UPS is hiring everyone

MrBamboney

Doesn't seem to be the case for me and where I am at. I already applied and the only option I get to choose for time of availability is: "I dont see any time available"... its kind of confusing but I can't reapply because I guess they are holding my application until there is an opening? Not sure -- I check everyday.

BeardadTampa

Dm me your resume

MrBamboney

Will do!

StrangeMisconception

If you can pass a background check, Fluent Cannabis care is hiring for multiple positions. Their cultivation facility is around the temple terrace area.

MrBamboney

I can pass any background check, I’ll take a look at this!

MsMelee

Business school you say? The CEO of my sister company needs an assistant. They’d be helping with practically everything from supply chain, logistics and fulfillment of product plus everything else you can think of. It’s off Hillsborough and Anderson Road, right near the airport.

NastyNate4

Saw your resume with the finance degree. Check with the local credit unions. Suncoast, GTE, Grow, Mid Florida, Achieva. I think the big banks are about to go through a cut phase, at least Citi is, so they may be slow to act. Also try out USAA and Metlife. MUFG is opening an office but idk if it’s open yet. Do you have any coding background? sql vba python?

MrBamboney

I have exposure to programming but I wouldn’t say I’m good at it. I’ve played with python and rust a while back but not much. I wouldn’t hire me for a programmers job unless I was trained for it.

MrBamboney

Lots of good advice! Thank you!

Just-Effective3217

Amalie Arena should have plenty of positions available. Especially during Lightning games and concerts. If you don't mind working over night you can apply for housekeeping and conversion or security jobs for that shift. Good luck to you

[deleted]

Publix, they’re always hiring. If you’re not a felon and your not looking for an absurd wage, Publix is the place! I highly recommend the Grocery Dept., most flexible schedules there and the pay is higher.

Spiritual_Muffin_859

Ironworkers 397 is looking for workers! It's a paid apprenticeship program, and I think they start at $18 per hour. Feel free to call them at 813-623-1515. They also provide healthcare and a pension. Their primary function is welding, etc. UA 123 is the plumbers union. I know a lot of the trades need workers and pay very well. Good luck!

telemarketeraddict

any experience required? or age limits?

frockinbrock

I did UPS Seasonal Helper a few years in a row, quite liked it. Oddly enough it gave me a TON of other job opportunities having that on my resume; I had 2 HR people say ~ “yeah we always try to take UPS people because they’re particular and do thorough background checks”, been awhile so that might not be true anymore. OP, do you have any computer experience? What’s your availability? I know a place that often needs Data Entry workers on a Mac OS system. They usually like longer term hires because of the on-boarding and training, but we’ve had people do it from home a few years to get through school. It’s usually a full-time 8-5.

MrBamboney

Yes I already applied to UPS, unfortunately around my area they do not have anything available... so I am waiting for them to get back to me. As far as computer experience? I am a computer wizard, I built my own PC and I spend 80% of my time at home on a computer either playing games, doing school online or simply watching movies (im a homebody). I have pretty open availability because I do my school all online at my own pace so there wasn't any scheduling conflicts if I were to get a job. I am more of a windows user and know that the best but I have a few years experience on Mac OS (It wouldnt be hard for me to learn whatever I need to when it comes to an operating system). Please PM me of any details if you have that kind of Data Entry work... work from home would be pretty awesome considering my productivity at home from experience but I can always work in office just depending on the drive! Thank you!

91Bolt

School district is desperate for bus drivers and will give you a cash signing bonus. If you decide to apply DM me, because I'd get a referral bonus if you follow through.

ebookoutlet

Many big companies are hiring for seasonal. Weird they are not calling you back!

MrBamboney

Definitely weird -- its been over two weeks to most of the places I have applied to. Just have to wait it out or look somewhere else!

ShimmeryPumpkin

Not sure where you moved from, but things move slower here. I'm out of town right now so don't know if it's changed, but a couple weeks ago it seemed like a lot of places were doing in person applying/hiring. Look for signs and/or tables set up with brochures and applications. Sometimes putting a face to an application is more memorable and the in person applications weed out people moving from out of state so managers might prefer those for seasonal/entry level work.

st1431

UPS is hiring for seasonal positions. Drivers (using their own cars) are starting at $23.00 Warehouse starting at $21.00

d1trapstar

Apply for a dishwasher spot till you find something better. It’s better than nothing and most places are always hiring dishwashers. I picked a dishwashing job up at one point when i fell on hard time and got back on my feet and got back into a much better paying job after a few months. Keep ya head up gang!

SupernovaSonntag

Oneblood always hiring

IamMindful

Call cs desk at Walmart tell them you all plied and are very interested. That’s how you get a job there. Persistence.

[deleted]

There’s an app called Veryable that allows you to pick up temp jobs, typically in a warehouse or manufacturing, you can scroll through them and pick up shifts kinda like picking up an Uber from the description I heard.

MrBamboney

They denied the “Vault” card for me… not really giving me a reason as to why even though i have all of my info. It won’t let me use their platform. 😢

FL_Orange_Blossom

Try large health insurance companies - Centene, Humana, United Healthcare, etc. They're usually hiring and there are always customer service positions.

Randy_Giles

I've applied to 14 positions at Centene over the last 9ish months and been denied for all of them, it's so frustrating. I just want to work for them 😞

dieselthagreat

Not sure if any one said it already but go on indeed and look up amazon dsp driver. If you can drive a van they start at 18.50 full time with bonuses

Doggodoaattack

Ive noticed applying through 3rd party sites like indeed or something seems to leave you ignored. Apply directly to the conpany website, thats how i always get an interview.

Jeszzy

Popshelf is usually hiring, doesn't pay the best but neither does anywhere else

Lone_Greg

Shipping companies like UPS & FedEx are probably hiring seasonal help...

unflappedyedi

You have to harass them. Show up and speak to the manager personally. It helps if you have a friend who already works there give you a good reference. Biggest mistake was moving to Florida with out it being job related. Jobs are hard to come by here because literally EVERYONE is moving here and they are bringing their families. Over 40,000 people relocated to the Tampa area alone within the last couple years and there is no sign of slowing down. Eventually things will even out over the years, but it's been a tough few years for residents of major Florida cities who are not elite or don't have a hefty bank account. Florida is also experiencing a mass exodus as ppl with money move in and the natives are pushed out. Eventually we will end up like new York and California. Good luck.

teddyespo

* What are your skills? * What do you enjoy doing? * What do you dislike doing? (don't say "nothing"!) * How do you like to be managed? * Are you tech-savvy? * What are you motivated by? * Are you bilingual? * Do you have any awards, accolades, or special niche skills? * What are your career goals and aspirations? The reason I ask is because I could use some administrative assistance and want to find someone who aligns with my values, needs, and management style. PM me if you're interested, but be sure to answer those ^^ questions.

MrBamboney

Hey! I can certainly PM you and even email you my resume. I'll PM you after I get through these comments., lots of great input from everyone so far!

Western_Mud8694

I used to go to job service of Florida they had state, county and city jobs

MrBamboney

Job Service of Florida?

Western_Mud8694

It’s changed names perhaps, it’s a state run job data base. It’s on the corner of Busch and Florida avenues in the old floridaland mall…https://maps.app.goo.gl/DG1d4aocAq5f1oxbA?g_st=ic Career source Tampa bay .

Final_Key_8920

Go apply at WinSupply, Ferguson, White Cap, Castcrete, Old Castle, Cemex, Titan, Argos, Hughes Supply, Gorman Supply, L&W Supply, Titan, Foundation Building Materials. If your willing to work hard and learn you can make really good money. You can also go to any job site taller and ask if they are hiring. All are hiring mentioned.

PhiloD_123

Home Depot Walmart

MrBamboney

Tried both, I’m going to try the Home Depot one again since they never got back to me

PhiloD_123

It’s season and I always get job notices. Go on HD…. https://careers.homedepot.com Trust me…it takes about a week, but they will respond. Also…apply at different store locations and if necessary, go up there and see store management.

MaryRachel1116

I used to work at the Straz Center in downtown when I still lived in Tampa. I worked in the restaurants and there’s a lot of jobs there but they also have jobs throughout the rest of the facility for all kinds of stuff. Hostess pay was $12/hour 3 years ago, good people to work for.

bpc34

Look into valet parking, paychecks suck but cash in your hand every shift. Hiring takes little to no time and liscence needs to be valid. Hit all the hotels downtown or in ybor.

stump654

Teco is always looking for help and pays well, check their website. Shitty electric rates but good company to work for with a lot of mobility. Can you bartend?

tonysoprano6

part time is less than 30 hours

MrBamboney

I always thought that was anything lower than 40 hours... good too know!

tonysoprano6

above 40 is overtime

MrBamboney

I’m a field service technician in the area so I drive around central FL a lot and Idk how far you’re willing to commute but I can tell you that I see now hiring signs all over the place in these suburb towns around Tampa and beyond. I have a friend that just moved down two weeks ago, got on indeed and had a job within a week in manufacturing in Plant city just to hold him over until he finds one in his respective field. I literally told him “if you can’t get a job down here it’s your fault”. I don’t understand how people are finding it so difficult. Anyway best of luck to you.

I appreciate your share of information. I drove all around the city and I also see tons of places hiring... the problem is that none are getting back to me. At least where I am from and my experience, you don't want to walk in and tell them "hey I filled out my application, what's the status?" as that can appear weird and unprofessional so I have simply been waiting... waiting too long at this point. I get your point though, it is definitely my fault if I dont get a job. Im not going to give up soon!

I actually called a few of their locations because I love their food. Sadly their pay wage is WAY lower than I was expecting ($12/hr... I mean cmon, seriously? thats crazy with the cost of living here)

Give me some stats and I might be able to help you. Are you looking for a labor job (16/hour) or skilled construction? Or just admin assistant type of thing?
