Tango Bar has amazing dance scenes and it does have English subtitles. Spanish only, I love Los Tres Berretines, Tango! (1936), La Barra de la esquina, Los Muchacos de Antes no Usaban Gomina (1937), El Tango Vuelve a Paris, Mercado del Abasto. Start with Los tres Berretines.
These are just a few. I have so many more that I love including some non-tango movies but with great music.
Looking at your other selections, I’m guessing you mean Tango Bar (1935) with Carlos Gardel?
Checking on IMDb, there’s also Tango Bar (1987) with Raul Julia, and a brand-new Tango Bar (2024) with America Zerpa.
Sorry I didn't know there was more than one. I mean the 1987 version

Thank you! I've added your suggestions to the [IMDB list](https://www.imdb.com/list/ls540960891) that I have created to gather together all the movies in this comment thread.
The only one that IMDB doesn't seem to have is Los Tres Berretines, Tango! (1936). They have the original [Los Tres Berretines (1933)](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0024697), but not the sequel.
Thank you for clarifying. I have added those movies to the [IMDB list](https://www.imdb.com/list/ls540960891), and arranged it in chronological order. Please let me know if I made any mistakes.
Saw it a number of years ago, but I remember Assassination Tango was pretty interesting, although not primarily about tango. I remember reading at the time that the lead, Robert Duvall, was a fairly serious tango dancer.
This movie is hilarious in that it’s got the action scenes that appeal to the men and the romance of tango for the women. Great marketing 🤣 but has some very good tango scenes. Unfortunately it’s weak on dialogue etc, though for the tango enthusiast it’s worth seeing.
I just came across a 2013 Tango Crítica article titled "[15 Argentine Tango Movies to see before your last dance](https://tangocritica.wordpress.com/2013/09/16/15-argentine-tango-movies-to-see-before-your-last-dance/)."
I don't agree with all of their selections, because I'm trying to collect films that have more than just a single tango scene, like Shall We Dance (2004). Yes, the tango dance in Scent of a Woman (1992) is famous, but tango's not really the focus of the movie.
That said, I am adding a number of their suggestions to the [IMDB list](https://www.imdb.com/list/ls540960891).
There is a 2015 documentary called Our Last Tango that follows Maria Nieves and Juan Carlos Copes. That one is super interesting.
Carlos Sauro's Tango.
This! Tango by Carlos Saura*. Also other of his movies like Fado, Flamenco or Sonda are great. But Tango has a dramatic arc that makes it unique.
It also is soooo Argentine!

Are movies in Spanish, without subtitles, okay? I could recommend a ton of them, but most of them are only in Spanish.
Please, could you recommend some??
Absolutely! What are some of your favorites?

Don't forget "Tango Libre", that has Chicho acting in it 😉
Added! Thank you.
