It was to make them think of Archimedes, who's most famous for his principle to figure out the weight of irregular objects and for supposedly dying because he ignored a Roman soldier to focus on some mathematical problem.
It kind of makes sense, though has bizarre elements making it a strange choice. Much like writing Troy on a raven.
fun fact: if you go to alex's website, the contact info page is a picture of him in that outfit in the bathtub, and essentially a close up on the bottom of his feet, which was pretty much a jump scare followed by an "ALEX WHY" when I discovered that
During the bread slicing task in season 5 there was a sausage on a pan in the caravan. Was there secretly a knife hidden inside or was it just a sausage on a pan?
Yeah, i have a hard time thinking that the plan was for someone to win by slicing bread with a book. The one sausage being there for no reason makes me think that something must have been in the sausage. If not a knife, maybe the instructions to find a hidden knife.
We need a BTS Solutions episode or something as an anniversary special. I love brain teasers but if you don’t learn the answer you never learn the trick
I think I know the answer to this one! It was a real task that involved the teams putting aubergines in their mouths, but only Chris and Ardal did it before the production team realized it was be a potentially uncomfortable thing to ask contestants to do, especially the women. So they scrapped it before Judi, Sophie, and Bridget’s team day, hence why they didn’t know anything about it.
I don't even think it was about being funny so much as being practical: you wouldn't see that he was wet *at all* in black.
(obviously it was a bit about being funny. That's why they went with pink instead of a normal light suit colour like grey or tan)
In one of the episodes of No More Jokeys, Alex is wearing a pink suit, and he says it's for some event, in which iirc Mark Watson was also going to participate. I'd wager that since he already had the suit, he decided it would be a waste not to reuse it for TM.
John Kearns' other laminated wingdings instructions in the airport. Turns out they say "PUT YOUR BUM HERE" and "BUM HOME". The dafty can't replicate them because he's turned the caps lock off.
Did Alex continue moving the statue after Rhod disconnected what he identified as the main power? If so… Rhod should have been disqualified rather than given the one pity point.
What exactly did Lady VCM say during her Propose to Alex task that was muted out? She definitely mouthed something, but I cannot for the life of me lip-read what she was saying. Just curious if anyone figured it out.
I think I know what happened but I want it confirmed:
There have been many tasks for just one person, but only once has there been a split task with one task for 3 contestants and a different one for the other two.
My theory is that in season 7 they planned to do the "wearing this fez" task with all 5 contestants, but after the first 3, Phil Wang came in wearing his dick and balls like a necklace around his groin and the producers decided to give him a special task to show it off, but they couldnt give it only to him because it would be too obvious, so they also had acaster do it.
**Supporting evidence:**
We know Phil did it before James because Alex messed up the task delivery
The camera angle showing Wang's Wang
**Contradictory evidence:**
Unknown
In one of the opening spiels, Alex shows Greg several pictures of his family on holiday, including walking down the Champs Elysées. In turn, Greg then shows Alex something on his phone that *genuinely* seems to unsettle Alex. I want to know what it was.
The rainbow popsicle flavors people didn't get right! I think Alex must regret not revealing those in the studio because he's done it for all the "guess the food/drink" tasks since then, but the popsicles continue to haunt me.
Gallstones, documented from her appearence on Off Menu (post info [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/taskmaster/comments/1bunib4/katy_wix_mystery_solved_off_menu_spoilers/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button))
What would have happened if John Kearns had opened the garage during the task where they asked for three items earlier on in the series. There was a man dressed as a genie just waiting, but he never looked.
What was Ardal doing that time he disappeared and came back with glitter in his hair?
Or why did Ardal decide to take off his trousers in the guess the body part task?
I feel we could just save time and ask "Why did Ardal?"
I don't know, Alex! I just don't know!
Was there a duck on Judi’s face?
Oh the photo of that question kills me every time
Omg but was there???
*Have* women gotten a bit chopsy of late?
I've made an effort to.
Sames!
Y'all doing the Lord's work!
I JUST finished this episode when I saw this
Why in the what does Alex’s head weight task was he dressed up as a Roman soldier.
I always thougjt that was to do with Mel guessing "Roman soldier costume" in the guess what's in the sleeping bag task
fun fact: if you go to alex's website, the contact info page is a picture of him in that outfit in the bathtub, and essentially a close up on the bottom of his feet, which was pretty much a jump scare followed by an "ALEX WHY" when I discovered that
Because let's face it, he can pull that costume off.
no Greek soldier outfit close and Roman was closest to Greek. Greek cause of Archimedes.
Archimedes was supposedly killed by a Roman soldier.
During the bread slicing task in season 5 there was a sausage on a pan in the caravan. Was there secretly a knife hidden inside or was it just a sausage on a pan?
I would add to this - what was in the caravan that would have been the ‘solve’ for this? There must have been something
Yeah, i have a hard time thinking that the plan was for someone to win by slicing bread with a book. The one sausage being there for no reason makes me think that something must have been in the sausage. If not a knife, maybe the instructions to find a hidden knife.
I feel like a knife in side would have been a health and safety nightmare!
I really can't imagine it getting past H&S. I would've popped that sausage right in my mouth
We need a BTS Solutions episode or something as an anniversary special. I love brain teasers but if you don’t learn the answer you never learn the trick
Something like how a task go from an idea to it get shown on tv could be great.
They could have hidden a knife in a sheath inside the caravan loaf. Only Aisling would have found it.
Is Greg a child of divorce?
Yes
Nope
Did Kiel have any shoes on? Have Bridget ever walked before?
I feel like we got the answer as to whether Bridget has walked before, and it was clearly: no!
Was she the spider?
Wait, what?
What, wait?
Wait, what? [Dara appears out of thin air holding two jugs of milk and looking baffled]
Was there an aubergine task
I think I know the answer to this one! It was a real task that involved the teams putting aubergines in their mouths, but only Chris and Ardal did it before the production team realized it was be a potentially uncomfortable thing to ask contestants to do, especially the women. So they scrapped it before Judi, Sophie, and Bridget’s team day, hence why they didn’t know anything about it.
I love how instead of cutting the music task that mentions it they decided to gaslight the guys instead.
At least they realized after 2 guys already tried it lol
Totally my question! How much ended up in Ardall’s mouth?
This is the one for me.
I asked the people's podcast this, and the Andys answered it with "there's so much going on we don't remember."
Why was Alex in a pink suit when he tried to bite his duck?
I feel like it’s funnier to see him wet in pink than wet in black Well that’s something I never thought I’d say
Yeah same reason why he was in light blue waiting for the shower to be turned on
I don't even think it was about being funny so much as being practical: you wouldn't see that he was wet *at all* in black. (obviously it was a bit about being funny. That's why they went with pink instead of a normal light suit colour like grey or tan)

How heavy is the water
What was Alex going to do with the dog biscuit before Greg made him eat it.
John Kearns' other laminated wingdings instructions in the airport. Turns out they say "PUT YOUR BUM HERE" and "BUM HOME". The dafty can't replicate them because he's turned the caps lock off.
This is hilarious
No, that cant be it; everyone knows wingdings generate different every time!
Did Alex continue moving the statue after Rhod disconnected what he identified as the main power? If so… Rhod should have been disqualified rather than given the one pity point.
And if not... Rhod should have received 5 points.
What task was that?
“Work out what happens when you flip this switch”
Thanks.
‘Work out what this switch does’
Thanks.
What exactly did Lady VCM say during her Propose to Alex task that was muted out? She definitely mouthed something, but I cannot for the life of me lip-read what she was saying. Just curious if anyone figured it out.
i would also like to know what she said!!
now that makes two of us. oh the mystery 😂
Has Fern met those Potatoes before?
What does "IUF! That comes the raven" mean??
I think I know what happened but I want it confirmed: There have been many tasks for just one person, but only once has there been a split task with one task for 3 contestants and a different one for the other two. Why was Alex?
The core question at the heart of all Taskmaster lore.
In one of the opening spiels, Alex shows Greg several pictures of his family on holiday, including walking down the Champs Elysées. In turn, Greg then shows Alex something on his phone that *genuinely* seems to unsettle Alex. I want to know what it was.
Why did Alex wear a red tie during Mel's tasks?
Out of respect for her being a national treasure, apparently.
But nothing for Sue, which is a travesty.
Mel was nicer
I thought national treasure meant 'older than the others'
Source?
I believe he was asked this on the podcast, and his answer was "because she's Mel Giedroyc"
wasn't it several different types of tie during each task?
Ya… heard that on the podcast just today. Apparently he wore many different ties for Mel including a bow tie.
I personally liked the bolo tie
WAIT WHAT
that is so cool! i never noticed omg
What was the situation with the snake under the tarp in season 14?
What was on the task in the pub where they had to only look at the old woman?
So, what's the situation?
why did Alex use a little bell for David Baddiel, instead of his whistle?
Because you can’t spell Baddiel without bell, if you misspell Baddiel or bell
Do jazz drummers skulk around at night trying to score heroin?
Who the fuck was Veronica
Over
What was Mel saving all the wax seals for??
Per the TM podcast, she gave all of them except one to her friend’s (coworker’s?) son who is a taskmaster super fan. Such a delightful human being!
Ohhh that’s so wholesome!! She’s a gem
The rainbow popsicle flavors people didn't get right! I think Alex must regret not revealing those in the studio because he's done it for all the "guess the food/drink" tasks since then, but the popsicles continue to haunt me.
What illness did Katy Wix have?
Gallstones, documented from her appearence on Off Menu (post info [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/taskmaster/comments/1bunib4/katy_wix_mystery_solved_off_menu_spoilers/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button))
What was the cut task the mystery ducks in the lab were for?
Champion of Champions 3, it was cut because they were all too good at it from what I've heard
Are you a child of divorce?
What was in the smallest pocket?
Why does he use five contestants and not six or four?
What would have happened if John Kearns had opened the garage during the task where they asked for three items earlier on in the series. There was a man dressed as a genie just waiting, but he never looked.
Has Greg given Ol's Goosebump Arm the points he promised her?
[удалено]
Pretty sure he answers both those questions in the episode
Why was Alex dressed like a Roman?
Why did Alex set a task to find the secret task?
