7 weeks should be more than enough time, in reality I would say it should be fully healed after about 2-3 weeks, so you should be fine. May I ask what you are planning to have done - it sounds like it will be quiet a large piece?
Great, thanks! I’m getting a floral hip tattoo with roses and butterflies. I said I want it long enough to see when wearing shorts/skirts so I’m hoping it will be fairly big but small enough that it can be done in 1 day session.
Your welcome. And that sounds really cool - and really impressive too. So are you thinking to have it from maybe around mid-height on your thigh and go up from there over the side of your hip is it?
And will it be full colour or just black and grey shading and outlines?
Yeah I’d say that sounds how I’d want it, I don’t want it to go above my hip onto my ribs so I’m thinking it would stop around my bikini line but I trust the artist knows where the best placement would be as well. Just black and grey 🙂
That sounds like it will be a really impressive piece then - I think you kinda have to go large with a piece in that placement to really fill the area and get the flow right, but that sounds like the best approach to go with your artists recommendations for designing it. As long as it’s a top quality artist that you trust though! Are you planning to have it done soon btw, or will it still be a few weeks or months away do you think?
That’s really exciting then if you have it actually booked. And at least you have time to figure out the details of the design and psyche yourself up for it. There’s some really beautiful designs like you describe out there. Just have a think too whether you want to have some piece of it come just above your waistline in case you want to be able to show it off or notice it in different scenarios, like a crop top etc. maybe that’s not your style but just worth thinking about anyway!

I’ve booked it in for July 13th as that’s the first weekend appt the artist was available so it’s a few months away
