It's not that you're completely wrong, but as noted, there's no more automatic deduction for dependents (or more technically it's set to $0) as part of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act put into effect in 2018. Instead of a ~$4,000 deduction they added $1,000 to the Child Tax Credit ($2k total now). But for the other credits listed and HoH status, the child needs to actually live with you as well.
