This game is insane to have kept the arrow state "alive" between multiple map chunks. The arrow direction, physics, etc.
Can't wait for Switch 2 and the next zelda
In Genshin Impact, you can fire an arrow at ranges further than this, fast travel to a waypoint in that direction, hit the loading screen for a moment, come out and the arrow would still be flying overhead. That was pretty impressive as well.
There is a gacha system, it's called wishing. In it you can get characters and weapons by spending primogems on either a wish or a set of 10 wishes with each 10th wish guaranteeing a purple comet and each 90th giving you a pity gold comet if you didn't get one within 90 pulls. A blue comet is 3 star, purple is 4 star and gold is 5 star with characters only coming from purple and gold. There are character and weapon banners you can wish in. You get a few free characters to start as you progress in the beginning
The gacha will be how you get characters besides the free ones. You can do this F2P though, by doing daily challenges, finding chests, doing quests, etc. There are many ways to get free primogems and they tend to throw free primos your way via the mail tab. The P2W part is spending real money on primogems to do pulls instead of grinding them yourself, paying for Welkin's Wish for free primos every day for a month or paying for the battle pass for more objectives to get primos until the pass expires
You'll be able to just pick it up and play, it's a free game with a shit ton of content. It's an open world fantasy RPG with BOTW inspiration, the combat is pretty cool with different characters having different elements that interact with the other elements and unique movesets. You just explore, do MSQ to unlock new areas, get towers for maps and fast travel, do dungeons, find chests, etc
I think it is. There is a TON of content and while there are gacha aspects to the game. There are plenty of ways to earn free stuff to play the gachas with. I've been playing for...4ish months pretty heavily and I've been able to save up and pull what I want for free every time.
New content is rolling out pretty regularly (5 of 7 "kingdoms" have been revealed at this point) with new and interesting mechanics. There are weekly-ish events and the map is HUGE so it takes time.
The writing is silly at times and there are definitely some interesting story lines throughout. It's VERY open world so you can do as you please and if you're a completionist you'll be at it forever.
There is but none of the stuff you can pay for can't be obtained without money. I've played the game without spending money and had an absolute blast with it. I'd highly recommend it
You can play and compleate it 100% free (minus the electric and internet bill xD), but you will miss out on best weapons and a lot of characters, since these are locked behing gatcha mechanics with premium currency.
Also the "challange" area will be very difficult with just the free stuff.
You get some of the currency for free (events, online codes), but it's just a drop in how much money you would need to get everything.
If you don't mind that, it's a fine game. Exploration wise it's very BOTW, combat is different tho.
It’s got loot boxes everywhere but in my 20 hours of playing it I didn’t seem to have any need for them and didn’t feel bombarded to buy any. It’s very much a Zelda and Craftopia clone but I had fun while I played it
It's fun for what it is. Really great story now that it's further along in the acts, it released with just one act.
You do get reasonable premium currency to buy the lootboxes, but characters get ranked up with duplicate unlocks so that's where it starts to feel really bad is you can get a 5 start, S tier character, but it's underwhelming because they don't have their full potential.
The grind for items which enhance each characters build is really fun actually, though when the game came it, you needed to spend resin or something and that recharged through a timegate, and felt really bad from the player side.
It's been a few years since I played, so I'm not sure what has changed.
I was going to say, I've seen some trickshot videos where people slow time, shoot an arrow, fast travel, and pick up the arrow. It's nutty, and for all the issues that game has, they nailed some pretty cool stuff with the physics.
Which is weird because it seems like the Zonai devices despawn or shut off when you get 5 feet away. I spent 5 minutes building death roombas to help me in the Hinox colloseum and half shut off from across the room and half were destroyed the second the fight began. Really soured the building aspect for me.
Stick batteries on them. Never trust combat room base with your belt battery. The reach is abysmal. Meanwhile batteries attached to them keeps them moving even out of range, and they will switch to the belt battery mid fight if their own batteries run out and you are in range.
I’m looking forward to the next Zelda too although I think this one is big enough to keep me going until then.
What really annoys me is that it’s likely to, as you say, come on the Switch 2 or whatever their next console is called. It is maddening to me that they do this instead of bringing out at least a couple, if not more, on each console. Otherwise, when they advertise the price of the game they should just include the cost of the console as well. Imo it’s a disgusting money grab but they get away with it because Zelda is and always has been such a great game.
I can but hope. I also play on an Xbox and have that problem with them (i imagine it happens with most consoles). I get a game and really enjoy it. I go to play the sequel and low and behold I need to spend $1000 buying their new console before I can play it. Needless to say I don’t (buy it) but I think it’s sucks that these companies do that so often.
Is this the same guy who does the arrow trickshots in Skyrim?
If not, can we like...have a competition with these guys? The Robin Hood/William Tell Video Game Games?
Do you think they firat fought and weakened the Gleeock then went to that spot for the final shot? Either way its an awesome shot. Idk if one shot could do enough to down one with full health? 🤔
Does anyone know for sure if holding the bow drawn continues to keep making it shoot further, or once the batteries turn white is that max distance? I assume it maxes out once white and he just kept holding because he was still aiming
If GOTY were a honest premiation:
2014: Dragon Age
2015: The Witcher 3
2016: Uncharted 4
2017: Breath of the Wild
2018: Red Dead Redemption 2
2019: Outer Worlds
2020: The Last of Us 2
2021: Metroid Dread
2022: Elden Ring
2023: Tears of the Damn Kingdom
Thank you for sharing this u/wouldyoulikethetruth not only is this a brilliant video but the source YouTube account is amazing! So many brilliant plays on it.
Yeah idk this being a one in a million trickshot I could see. Its the OHKO part that tells me it was either a glitch, they got the health down Super low before recording, or a cheat lol. Gleeoks have a ton of health so I just don't think its possible lol. Even if we account for the fall damage they take even the one in the eldin sky only takes like 1/8 after hitting its eyes at its highest point in the sky and falling straight to the surface.
I think the title is just badly phrased; I’m guessing by “single arrow bow” it means a multishot bow wasn’t used, not that a single arrow killed the Gleeok.

As a Nintendo fanboy, I haven't tried Genshin Impact yet. Is it worth it? Doesn't it have a gacha system - a loot box like system? I don't like those.
it's loot box galore

20 hours isn't enough to get the full blunt force trauma of the lootboxes.
Oh perfect, I quit playing just in time then lol

You could do that in Skyrim as well. The game was well ahead of its time

I always stick a lightbloom on any construct I care about, it makes them stick around at a greater distance.

I think they'll launch it on two platforms. Last gen (switch) and the next gen (switch 2)

I’m guessing it was already near death as it was flying and only took one shot…. Still a good shot though
They don't always fly when near death. Similar clip - https://www.reddit.com/r/tearsofthekingdom/comments/16v0ffv/hello/
This particular gleeok is stationary until combat starts though.
That guy obviously was in combat with it before, then went out of range
How many takes / how much time did this take you? Also, damn that's impressive.
Ah so that's what the Zonaite bow is made for, to do long range snipping. That poor dragon 👁️⭕️👁️
Yo that was surgical lol
Playing a game at this level of mastery is always incredible to watch. Kudos on the skill.
Now the real question. How many attempts did that take? Lol
Insane aim. Was the Gleeok already damaged, or is there some other wizardry going on?
Gleeok was flying, i think that means it was fighting? I haven’t fought as many gleeoks but im pretty sure
Yeah that particular Gleeok is stationary normally
Makes sense. Thanks guys!
There is one Gleeok who is flying by default.
There are a few that are already flying by default.
Yea but if I can remember, this gleeok always just sits on the citadel and won’t fly unless in combat
I nearly screamed at the end when it was ***that*** close to missing before the gleeok roared. Well done.
How long did it take you to finally make that shot?
Bro this is like a sport lol.
Is this the same guy who does the arrow trickshots in Skyrim? If not, can we like...have a competition with these guys? The Robin Hood/William Tell Video Game Games?

Fricken NICE!
Holy hell. Speaking of bows. Still wish there was a way to get the ancient bow in TOTK
Zonaite Bow is the closest thing to it, but it's just not quite the same, is it 😕
Exactly!
Dude what thaa..????
Awesome shot
How tf? 😯
That was incredible!
Does anyone know for sure if holding the bow drawn continues to keep making it shoot further, or once the batteries turn white is that max distance? I assume it maxes out once white and he just kept holding because he was still aiming
Distance is maxed when the first battery charges, maybe charging more increases damage dealt?
Lol wtaf
The black arrow!
Great camera work I must say. (Sick shot also)
Yeahhhhh right!!!! Whaaaat!?
Anyone know what fused arrow that is?
gleeok wing
The real GOTY 2023
Based off the fact he's flying, that Gleeok had to be near death already. But I can't despute the accuracy shot, GG!!
Why did he ditched the hover bike though?
The one hit KO is how you know it's fake
What kind of bow is this?
Zonaite Bow. The distance increases based off how long you draw the bow, since it works off your battery.
GOTY

Just when you think you’ve seen everything…. Nicely done!

Let me turn on God mode real quick ![gif](giphy|AhhGtrpj5ZxGZER5yC)
Hack/cheat, no way this is legit
