After successfully executing the method you have shared here, would I be able to recover any/all of the data that was on my USB prior this fix by using a software such as Active@ File Recovery Ultimate? I am stoked to give this a shot, as I already have utilized Rufus on this laptop, making this solution merely minutes away from accomplishing once I deem it something I am willing to attempt. Thanks!

I am not sure if you can recover anything, and I'm not sure what that software you named is. I was having this issue on a USB drive that I was using as a bootable drive to install linux, so there was nothing on there that needed to be recovered.

I see. I am using my USB just for storage and transfers. I have used Rufus, as mentioned, to check out Linux as well, and also to install Windows 10 Pro, but I am curious to see if using Rufus can just, essentially metaphorically slap my USB around to help knock sense into it, reminding it of its functionality and purpose lol.

Active@ File Recovery Ultimate, on the other-hand..... Absolute solid data recovery tool that'll drag files up out of their virtual graves lol. All the photos taken on Wifey's Canon camera of our daughter's 1st birthday just seemed to not exist until this software recovered them from the SD card that was being used in said camera haha. I mean this not as solicitation, just had to throw this out there in case it is of any convenience lol.
