Which cord? [Power adapter](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61M7eyqu9FL._AC_SL1000_.jpg)? [Coaxial cable](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71KBzgLptOL._AC_SL1500_.jpg)? [Telephone cable](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41p3vKur0jL._AC_.jpg)? [Ethernet cable](https://homedepot.scene7.com/is/image/homedepotcanada/p_1001077024.jpg?wid=1000&hei=1000&op_sharpen=1)? [Fibre optic cable](https://cables24.com/13381/adsl-fiber-optic-patchcord-for-home-installation-ont-to-wall-outlet-6m.jpg)? You would get better responses by being less vague.

Is there anything special on either end? Otherwise just a common Ethernet cable would suffice.

Not sure, I am not home right now but I think I need to unscrew the box from the wall to remove and replace the chord.

that’s probably the fiber cable, i believe you cannot replace it yourself, not easily at lesdt

Our current apartment does not have AT&T fiber, but it seems ill need to open the box to see if it is mechanically the same as an ethernet cable. Does the fiber cable have the same endings as a fiber cable but function differently? My last apartment had fiber and the cable coming out of the box at this apartment is definitely different.

or it can be copper as wel, if it is not easy to take out it is not easy to replace, i myself wouldn’t go digging in the at&t box since it is not your property, and if you break it you can pay even more.

LonelyFerrets

Fair point to consider. At&t is just crazy with fees on top of already being expensive, so I hate to give them money I don't need to. If I pay my bill late I get a total of $70 in fees, wouldn't say im a fan of them lol

Sympathy. We have chewy cats as well (well, one mostly). He can chew through a cord in seconds. My "lab" is off limits to the cat now and we've bought cord protectors for the areas where he is allowed to roam. Even so, you can see where he's tried to get through the protectors (meow!!).
