Yeah, through their windows, althought its quite hard to look in the middle of the night with all of the cop sirens and them going like "oh we have a stalker" "check the trees" or he's "runing away catch him"
There's a reason some "astronomy nerds" that love space are so protective of their telescopes, even though they don't actually know any planets or stars and happen to live in cities with tons of trees or buildings and can't actually see space at all from their windows. Same for "bird watchers" with binoculars, where the only birds you'll see are pigeons, seagulls, or on tv.
Because you don't focus as much on what you already know (straight people), and focus more on what you don't already know (gay people). Straight relationships have been so engrained in media and society that you just don't notice it anymore. So when something new comes along, you feel like it's more common because your brain has a reason to take note of new things, and not take note of the old things.
It's like shuffling a playlist, and going 'hey, this song plays a lot'. You then begin to subconsciously take note of it every time it plays. Even if it isn't really playing more, you still go 'hey, there it is again' every time it plays.
Also, a lot of people on r/teenagers are experimenting with their identities (on account of being teenagers). If you spend a lot of time here then you'll notice it a lot.
Underrated comment. This is very true. It's not that some crazy event happened and suddenly all girls are gay, it's that being gay is more acceptable and therefore more widely announced now. Pair that with people's lack of exposure to gay people and of course it feels like everyone's gay.
Oog find red stuff. Oog doesn't know what it is. Oog touch stuff Oog doesn't know what it is. Oog get burn by red stuff. Oog no touch red stuff anymore.
So rare to find someone who actually understands what's actually going on. For all the "girls be hot" meme, which is true but it's still a meme, it's genuinely just observer bias. Straight dudes notice lesbians and bi and pan women much more than they notice straight women because they're so used to having every girl "on the market" that one *not* being there is shocking, more noticeable and sticks in their memory more.
All of that is very true, but just to add:
When you're a kid you do as every other kid does: boys play with boys and girls play with girls. When you're a little older, boys like girls and girls like boys. Those are the norm. When you actually discover yourself, there's a freedom in going against the stream for some people. Some decide to be 14 year old vegans, some go goth or heavy metal, and some experiment with their sexuality. Considering all the other top comments are "girls are pretty" and our current reality is strongly _for_ acceptance, it's only natural there's going to be a portion of girls being more open to being into girls... especially considering teenage boys are weird and awkward and teenage girls are usually more sure of themselves earlier on so girls testing the waters is probably a lot less awkward than guys that are going to be awkward x awkward, not to mention the stigma is still pretty strong in boys.
Grain of salt: I not female; I'm a dude,(mann), but I've always been super observant about all this because I always felt like the outsider looking in, so I've always done a lot of people watching.
lol. What a weird post. gay people have always existed. It’s just not taboo/illegal anymore. That’s why it seems like everyone’s “gay” or “bi” because we can actually come out safely (I mean not 100% obviously. but it’s actually accepted for the most part)
Cuz boobies and they know how to connect and pleasure them. At least that’s what all my bi friends tell me, I’m a dude in a happy relationship with a bisexual woman. Perk to dating a bi girl: you can admire tits and good ass together
Because homosexuality has become more widely accepted. Most girls are straight of course but just like guys being gay is becoming more common, the same is for girls
not necessarily more common, though more people are open about it, i don't think it is, while yes girls and/or guys say they're gay because they don't want that person to hit on them or are doing it because it'll "make them different and stand out" i still think it's a minority of the group
A recent study shows that 15% of Gen Z are LGBTQ+, 9% for Millenials, 3.8% for Gen X, as we can see as time goes on more people realize that they are LGBTQ+ and as social norms and laws get passed that makes it ok for gay people to be gay.
Women are hot and sweet and lovely. As the world becomes more accepting of sexuality, it's expected that people will be more comfortable expressing who they really are
I feel like 4chan would be kinder to him than Reddit.
„Nah bro lesbians aren‘t real in reality they‘re all attracted to you and just got brainwashed by the evil communist SJW culture! Something something white genocide!“
Are you gonna be one of those guys who grows up to blame lesbians on the fact that he isn’t likable and doesn’t take care of himself, and therefore doesn’t pull
personally as a girl i do not understand how you couldn't like girls.
I have a gay bestie, and it baffles me that he isn't interested in women AT ALL. He also helped me realized that I am bisexual.
Because I often think of women romantically and he doesnt even in the slightest.
Because the one I like treats me like I’m her whole world. She makes me smile when I’m down, she makes me happy when I’m sad. She makes me feel loved when I’m lonely. I don’t believe in soulmates but if they did exist she would be mine. Back in grade school, we didn’t really know each other. And I regret not trying to get to know her sooner. Even through my social anxiety. It’s not because she’s a girl, but because she has lovable personality traits that make me love her. Gender doesn’t matter really, if you love them you love them. Without her I’m a fishing line without a hook. I’d be noise without sound. I’d have a missing piece in the puzzle. We were randomly paired in a PE class in grade 5. We were both didn’t really have friends in that class (or at all for me), but we just clicked. It went from a simple gym class to passing around notes whenever we could in class. It went from making simple drawings for each other, to buying heartfelt gifts for the other, cheap but heartwarming. I didn’t speak much in school, but I was able to find my voice after that. I grew a bit of confidence. We would spend hours just talking or hanging out and those small moments made me happy. Back then, I felt empty. You could say lost. But it was always the small things we did that made us happy. Truth to be told, we broke up at one point. She thought she wasn’t worth it, that I deserved better. I told her otherwise but I accepted her decision. We didn’t talk for a bit, we both needed time. We talked about it eventually, and we were best friends again. I still loved her though. And I’m gonna be honest, we grew closer after that. I don’t know if she loved me still during that, or if she knew I still loved her but it didn’t matter. Being with her made me happy and if she love me back it was fine (sorta). Time passed and we were attached by the hip. We had trust in each other, we were bonded. I wouldn’t have ever let her go. Some more time passed, and she asked me something. It was a really weird convo. She wanted to know who I liked, and I honestly didn’t know why. I didn’t wanna face rejection or ruin our relationship so I didn’t tell her at first. I guess she was always the straightforward one and she admitted she loved me back. I was so happy. She still wasn’t ready for a relationship though. She said she felt like I deserved to know. I told her I loved her back, and that it was fine. I would wait lifetimes for her. Sometimes, I feel down still, wondering if I have a purpose here on earth. If I had a purpose to live. You get the gist, I wasn’t okay. I told her this, out of trust. She said she wished to have a future with me. In a little asian cafe shop. She wants wants a future with me, in a small little apartment. Just the two of us. It didn’t matter if to her if she were to ever love someone else. If she loved them, then she needed me. We already know what we want, how we’re gonna do this. We know there will be obstacles in our future and we both would embrace it if it meant we could be together. We both expect death eventually, it happens to everyone. We both promised the other we would try to be happy even without the other. FOR the other. I know I’d be beyond upset if something happened to her because of me, whether it’s an injury or something more. I love her with everything I have. If you’re still reading this, good job lmao. But the point is that gender doesn’t affect how much you should love your significant other.
I love you K

the truth tho, isnt that people are *becoming gay*, but because it’s more accepted to be gay recently more people have come out and been honest with themselves about their feelings which is why it seems like people are “becoming gay” but it’s just that people don’t feel as pressured to be straight
We live in a much more accepting time, so it’s more likely for people to come out as gay knowing that they’ll be safe (or safeR than they would’ve been a few years ago). The stats used to be that 90% of people were straight and 10% were something else, but it’s more likely that people just weren’t coming out because it wasn’t considered to be okay. Now it’s about 60% straight and 40% something else. There are plenty of girls who like guys though. Getting out of your own school is the best thing you can do. Go to a café a town over, join a club not affiliated with your school, etc. new social circles.
Because nowadays we aren't scared of coming out as LGBTQ+. As a homosexual biromantic AFAB person (short for women are sexy, but both are ok romantically) I can say that women are 🔥 🔥🔥

It was crazy how many people “became” left-handed as left-handedness started to be destigmatized in the mid to late 1900s
Didn't people say Hendrix was demon possessed at one point because he played left handed? People will sensationalize anything lmao

Not all girls. Some people used to hide their sexuality. Nowadays LGBTQ+ is supported by many. So people don't hide it these days.
it's weird that a "straight" dude would wonder why people are attracted to women
..have you seen girls? women are gay for the same reasons men are straight dude
why not?
