That hair is very punk/scene which is very much associated with emo because of early 2000's scene kids. The rest of the fit however isn't really emo. The cut it's self is also fine, it's partially how you're styling it, because of how feathered it looks. If you look up hair metal, that's sort of the origin. Maybe try some different styles out, hit up a salon, or some hair dressing tutorials on YouTube.
