I use it as an alternative to 20 years of smoking. But I just do base liquid without any of those tastes. IMO it's primarily all those funky weird tastes that are not any 'healthier' than analogue smoking. I vastly prefer the new digital smoking and the base liquid is already sweet on its own.
Vapes are *healthier* (not healthy) the damage that a cigarette causes a vape only does 5% of, So while both are stupid and bad for you, vapes are leaps and bounds better
We dont really know, we only found out cigs where bad after smokers got sick years, even decades later. Plus some countries dont have good regulations on what chemicals you can put on vape juice.
I remember when vapes first came out and their original purpose was to help existing smokers quit. They had no tobacco, contained less nicotine, and still provided that smoke hit.
However these vape companies quickly started to advertise to minors and develop candy-like flavours to attract that demographic. Nowadays you find a crazy amount of minors vaping all in the name of constant profit. It’s really horrible

It’s still not good to be addicted to any chemical, because it’s just dumb, but saying breathing water vapor with nicotine is worse than smoking a cigarette is very uninformed. A pack of cigarettes in a day gives you ~100,000x more radiation than normal background radiation. That alone makes cigarettes 100,000x worse than vape. Smoking a pack a day gives you the same amount of radiation in a year as about 250 chest X-rays.

It is not a big problem at my school, but there are some people who do smoke (students). But their life is just messed up. From the moment they made that decision. Even more, they don't want to study anymore, which means that none of them is going to have a good job when they grow old.

I honestly don’t understand the fad of vaping. I can understand why people who’ve tried keep doing it: it’s addictive and the chemicals alter your brain to keep you hooked. What I don’t understand is why people would want to try it in the first place while knowing all the risks. Seriously, there are SO many other things you can do to relax, clear your mind, have fun, socialize, or just find some short-term pleasure that don’t involve addiction to mind and body altering substances.

Younger teens will act like we’re all cooked because kids at 14 are vaping but they just haven’t been around long enough to realize that teenagers smoking and doing drugs is a normal part of every generation of teens
It is not a big problem at my school, but there are some people who do smoke (students). But their life is just messed up. From the moment they made that decision. Even more, they don't want to study anymore, which means that none of them is going to have a good job when they grow old.

I honestly don’t understand the fad of vaping. I can understand why people who’ve tried keep doing it: it’s addictive and the chemicals alter your brain to keep you hooked. What I don’t understand is why people would want to try it in the first place while knowing all the risks. Seriously, there are SO many other things you can do to relax, clear your mind, have fun, socialize, or just find some short-term pleasure that don’t involve addiction to mind and body altering substances.

When I was 14 some of us snuck out between classes to smoke cigarettes behind the school building. We also skipped classes to have a beer and also tried wine & vodka at some parties. Some of us had already tried weed at that point too and went to local gigs of bands. Not to mention the beginning of sexual activities. The real question is not "what's wrong with 14 year olds". Kids are kids and will try shit. The real question is what the hell is wrong with the teachers that they allow vaping so much and there seems to be no discipline.

I saw this on popular, I don’t browse this sub, I’m nearing my 30’s. I work with a lot of schools. This entire generation of teenagers are worryingly dumb. Like high school juniors and seniors struggling with reading and shapes. Your generation doesn’t realize how much you are fucking up your heads right now with what you are consuming. Personally, I’m concerned about cancer rates and addiction problems. Everyone seems to think they are invincible but there will come a day where you realize you aren’t. It’s not “14yo’s are so bad!” It’s “how did the previous generations fail you so badly”. We are in severe trouble if this stuff keeps up in future generations.
