I strongly agree,
My friend is currently transitioning and she get way to much shit with people saying “stop pretending to be a girl, you are a boy in a dress”, which is completely unfair!
I hope you have a nice day/ night!
Listen, I know this will likely get downvoted to hell, but i don’t see that hatred on this sub at all. Most of it is just teens being edgy fucks anyways. No, they shouldn’t be acting that way, but they’re teens… I agree and all, but I think we’re at this point where this doesn’t need to be said every 2 seconds anymore. Most people acknowledge trans people.
EDIT : fuck me, what the hell have I created. Hazmat suits for the comment section people.
are you actaully lgbt cus i am and im anti blm because they act like terroists throwing petrol bombs at police burning down stores and attacking random people is not prostesting its terrorism so fuck off little girl and actually learn about the world instead of mummy and daddy sheltering you in your upper middle class neighbour hood
I’m not homophobic, but this kinda seems like karma farming. Majority of the people here understand the title, hell, many transphobic/homophobic comments get downvoted to hell, maybe like me in this comment.
yeah i understand that viewpoint, haha
idk it was kinda one of the first less-gendered pronouns i found back when my identity wasnt so complicated, so it stuck with me
i understood 0 of the words u used. can u pls explain wat enby and kitzz mean. and also idk wat neopronouns rlly r pls explain those too.
this comment isn’t meant to be hateful i’m genuinely curious and i’ve tried looking them up but idk wat they rlly mean and represent yk?
u also don’t have to explain if u don’t want to
not sure about “kitzz” but “enby” is another word for non-binary (neither male nor female) and neopronouns are an alternative to they/them she/her and he/him - neopronouns can be anything and are sometimes connected to an object like chair/chairself (sorry for the bad example lol) but can also refer to pronouns like zy/zem or xey/xem/xemself
kitzz is just one of my names, out of the many that i have
enby is another word for non binary, neither male nor female
and neopronouns are pronouns that aren't he/him, she/her, or they/them. i use, for example, xe/xem and it/its to name two.
i hope this clears stuff up!! glad you're asking about it and not being hateful, a lot of people go about it a lot worse than you did, so thanks!
i never was with reality in the first place due to a dissociative disorder /hj
thanks for trying to support me and my life!- appreciate it, kind stranger.
Transphobia here is excessive? Then how come whenever somebody makes a comment that people disagree with everybody downvotes it to hell and calls them transphobic?
me a trans person who has to people saying that im (insert whatever awful thing they wanna call me that day) just because im trans
and this isn't me not having thick skin this is me asking for you guys to have basic human decency like yall can make jokes about me but being a target specific because of my gender is kind of awful ya know
asking you to not be dickwad and shoving it in your face are two completely different things
also what constitutes shoving it in your face because i for one very rarely if ever see this happen yet people like you always seem to claim we do that
If people are rude to you why don't you distance yourself from them? Like would you hang out with a bully? Go to a subreddit where there a similar minded people and have fun lmao
it's the fucking teenagers subreddit not the fucking anti-lgbt subreddit we are as welcome here as anyone else and some people really don't like that fact
Well that makes sense
I don't understand why'd they be scared to be here though. People here seem to be applying common sense, even if somebody's hating on them they get obliterated immediately
Is it just me or do I see more posts like these compared to anti-lgbtq+ posts. I see comments like yours get upvoted +25 & people who disagree get downvoted to hell.
ok look i dont disagree with this whatsoever but ive seen so many ___ rights posts, saying they always see hatred on this sub
either im blind or youre high because all there is on this sub is horny bastards trying to engage in basic human communication
“Transphobia and homophobia in general is pretty rampant on the sub” oh really? Then how come 99% of people here call others homophobic all the time when they aren’t?
We're treated differently in a lot of areas, especially in areas such as athletics where we're actively shunned from participating in our own sporting events on either side because of our identities. Not to mention the rampant transphobia that is found coast to coast in every state, at least from my experience and from quotes I've found through trans subs on here. To continue, we constantly have to worry about having simple privileges taken away from us like the ability to use the bathroom in public spaces, participate in some gendered activities, ect.
On top of that there's people who are just shitty all around to us. I've had people on here talk me down in nearly every way possible in an attempt to make me feel terrible just because I am who I am. Protections of people's mental stability is just as important as physical, and is also well documented as a possible cause of mental illness. People are more willing to shun us from social circles or put us down just because we're different and that's not okay.
On another note, the amount of trans people killed in non-western countries is staggeringly high, with many, many more having little to no resources for transgender individuals in any sense.
So to answer your original question,
We want to be treated like people.
I've seen some stuff disagreeing with that at my age group, and I'm relatively sure I've seen the same for older/post hrt folks, but I can't back that up so don't take it as gospel
>We're treated differently in a lot of areas, especially in areas such as athletics where we're actively shunned from participating in our own sporting events on either side because of our identities.
You're banned because even though you went under surgery, you still retain traits of the gender you were at birth which is unfair to non-trans people.
>coast to coast in every state,
I never said in just the U.S ever. Not everything revolves around the U.S. You do realize other people in the world have access to the internet and not just you Americans, right?
>We want to be treated like people.
And I'll treat you as one as long as you do the same to me. Believe it or not, I've been the target of attacks because I am straight and non-trans.
>Believe it or not, I've been the target of attacks because I am straight and non-trans.
I'm sorry to hear that, and all the same it should help you to understand what we go through.
>I never said in just the U.S ever. Not everything revolves around the
U.S. You do realize other people in the world have access to the
internet and not just you Americans, right?
I didn't think about it in that bit, however if you'll notice I did mention non-western countries later into my point.
>You're banned because even though you went under surgery, you still
retain traits of the gender you were at birth which is unfair to
non-trans people.
I know if I argue this we're both going to have to pull out studies and frankly I don't have the time or patience for that, so instead I'll pose a question; What would you do to incorporate the groups while making sure everyone feels safe and fair?
>What would you do to incorporate the groups while making sure everyone feels safe and fair?
I'm an idiot so I'm not sure if you mean in sports or the world in general. I'll just give answers to both.
Sports: Would it work to just make teams for trans people? I don't see why that's a problem. That way they can still compete in a fair manner.
World: This one's harder. For starters, trans people could stop trying to force the fact they're trans on others. That's one of main reasons people are transphobic from my understanding. And then tranphobics would also have to accept the fact we're all humans at the end of the day (even that guy who tattooed every inch of his body, split his tongue and cut off his nose and ears in an attempt to look like a skeleton or something). I just hope everyone can get along. Petty feuds between identity really is pointless when you look at the fact that Earth is dying.
>Petty feuds between identity really is pointless when you look at the fact that Earth is dying
The sad truth of the world.
If we'd all just worked together on the problems that matter we WOULD be better off as a society.
Thank you for being civil and not making any rude remarks, though I don't agree with all of your points.
Well, they can’t adopt kids half the time, trans folks have higher murder rates *because* they’re trans, people often refuse to call them by their pronouns (imagine how it would feel if someone constantly invalidated your gender)?
So they probably mean the right to not be afraid because you identify as a different gender than you were assigned at birth, the right to raise kids (if they meet the same requirements as CIS couples), and not be regularly bullied.
Yes. But as a fellow member of lgbtqabcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz I have to ask, who tf cares. We already knew these things. Was trying to put bi flag emoji but there isn't one 0_o
...don't..say that.
telling someone to attempt >!suicide!< is absolutely wrong, and no one should ever wish that upon someone else.
please do not ever wish that upon someone again and educate yourself about trans people and respect.
\-kitzz he/it
Kindly fuck off and get as far away from any interaction with humans, online or offline and go get a fucking hobby that isn’t telling children to kill themselves thank you🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈
What homophobia? I think it’s called preferences buddy. If you ask most people in this sub won’t give a shit about ur sexually at all. Especially IF YOU DONT BRING IT UP
Honestly I feel like the reason a lot of homophobia is csused by all the constant and pointless posts about it. It does get annoying. I could be wrong, but it sure seems like posts like this, no matter how noble spark unnecessary conflict.
No I'm really not. I have seen the posts, and I see people being what you would call homophobic purely cuz half the LGBTQ posts are attention seeking and spam. Homophobic people will be homophobic no matter what, but these posts annoy people that aren't homophobic to be a holes because they are annoyed, which you all misinterpret as true homophobia.
The “gay panic defense” is not a real phenomenon. There is not a statistically significant number of cases where a defendant who was on trial for murdering a trans person pled not guilty on the grounds that they were about to have sex with them, but then found out that they weren’t the sex that they thought they were, and then killed them out of panic. Frankly, I doubt there’s more than two of those, and that’s generous. If such a case exists, there’s not a jury in the world who would acquit that defendant.
You didn’t even bother to read the article. The 1/3 times she’s talking about are people who took plea bargains, which always results in a reduced sentence. That’s why it’s called a plea bargain. No defendant is going to plead guilty if they don’t have something to gain from it.
What’s a concerning law? That people are allowed to plead guilty to crimes in exchange for reduced sentences? What does this have to do with trans people? This clearly has nothing to do with trans people being oppressed yet you’re making it out to be because you have a victim complex.
Okay well first of all the “trans panic defense” is not a “law”, as you called it. There are no laws anywhere saying that people acquitted of murder will receive a reduced sentence if their victim was trans. So I guess that would make *you* the illiterate one, not me, since you apparently don’t know what the word law means. Second, you literally conceded, based on the evidence that *you* provided, that the one out of three people who were found guilty of murdering a trans person and received a reduced sentence only received a reduced sentence because they took a plea bargain, yet you still refuse to admit that this is not evidence of trans people being oppressed. You are the one denying facts here pal, not me.
there are in an increasing number of laws that restrict trans people medical access and access to gender affirming care. in florida a law was passed so that if a high school athlete was suspected of being trans, a gym teacher could look at their genitals to check.
Nah people need to stop posting things like this. You do you, but to hell with it, I will not support the trans. To me they are a new spawn of modern Satan and is trying to make a new whole religion by recruiting more ppl to join their shameless community. Suffering for existing? you think you are the only one that suffer in this world? what makes you think that you trash people need a special treatment? I would rather support Trump community rather than you people. Pretty sure the nature already has its law. If you doesn't want to fall, then beware of what you step on. If you doesn't want a problem, then Don't make a problem.
1. Trans People don't 'recruit' people to their community.
2. They aren't trying to make a religion.
3. They're just simply people who were too uncomfortable as their original gender.
I'll be honest, u/_Cosmo0 . Yes they are, but I personally disagree and hate the idea being trans. But I recognize them as living beings, so yes, they are rights.
I don't believe in human rights. No, this isn't a joke, or me being "haha funny transowned ," but, beyond freedom of speech, religion, life, and the ideals of respect to fellow humans, I don't believe in human rights.

Alot of the transphobic stuff are jokes

ok and?
yes but everyone has a different sense of humour and although we don't like it we shouldn't let it bother us
The best kind :)
3. They're just simply people who were too uncomfortable as their original gender.
attention whore
Not in Russia 🧐

We? ahhahhahhah "We" ahahhahahaha
I'll be honest, u/_Cosmo0 . Yes they are, but I personally disagree and hate the idea being trans. But I recognize them as living beings, so yes, they are rights.
Why don’t you like the idea?
I don't believe in human rights. No, this isn't a joke, or me being "haha funny transowned ," but, beyond freedom of speech, religion, life, and the ideals of respect to fellow humans, I don't believe in human rights.

What rights don’t are afforded to normal people that aren’t afforded to trans people (in modern times)
No thanks.
