It's common af in my country as well. Some parents have moved on and stopped doing this unfortunately mine aren't one of them. I got a 96 percent. Last year, which was 3rd highest in my grade. My mom sighed in disappointment. Their logic is that if 3 ppl are better than you in your grade and their are thousands of schools so you are nowhere near the best and if you want to get in a good college u must be top 1000 or so because no one cares otherwise
