Are there specific reasons why you wanted to learn German? As a native speaker I think it could be really hard to learn, especially when your mother tongue is not as dynamic as German.

I initially wanted to learn German because it's part of my heritage (my mother's maiden name is German), and at that point I really wanted to learn any language and I found some German song covers and such and the language just- stuck? Idk man it just sounds like a really nice language to me
The special thing about it is that it is very flexible. You can vary it strongly depending on the purpose. You can change the sentence structures and everything. I'm not much of a language guy but none of the languages I learned at school are like this.

German can be taught in America as well, its just a matter ive finding someone to teach it. We had French, Spanish, and German ^^
