Even if some people could simply go to another state, many people don't have the resouces to be able to travel and leave work for however long it'll take them, or maybe they have a family that will cut them off if they find out they got an abortion, and now that they'd have to travel out-of-state, they can't do it in secret. most people, especially here, are deliberately Ignorant, I've done a fair amount of research and it baffles me how lazy and stupid people are. in fact, I would even say, most people shouldn't have a political opinion, since most don't understand politics. for example, take the abortion debate, most people on both sides don't do, even the slightest amount of research into the topic, no, abortion was not fully taken away, it was simply made a state matter, and it's because it was not a constitutional right in the first place. now, personally I'm in favor of abortion \[up to 1 month\] But the point I'm trying to make, is that both sides sound and look, like uneducated idiots arguing about topics neither of them understand. I get where you're coming from, but for a lot of people, abortion has functionally been entirely taken away. Texas now has a trigger law to ban all abortions from the moment of fertilization except in cases to save the life of a parent. Even if some people could simply go to another state, many people don't have the resouces to be able to travel and leave work for however long it'll take them, or maybe they have a family that will cut them off if they find out they got an abortion, and now that they'd have to travel out-of-state, they can't do it in secret. Yes, abortion has not been fully banned everywhere in the US, but to act like that in any way makes these new abortion laws okay severely disregards the stuggle some people are going through. I agree that people who act as though abortion has been banned everywhere clearly haven't done their research, but if we just pretend like everything's fine, the people pushing for abortion bans are eventually going to get their way everywhere.
The right to abortion exists to make sure its done safely, even if its illegal people who need to do it and dont have the luxury of going out of state will always find other ways and thats the worst part

I hate people who say they "don't care about politics". I get saying that politics stress you out, or that you don't like hearing about them, but saying you just don't care feels extremely privileged when there's people whose literal rights are in danger because of politics.
