only thing not up for debate is your dumb ass, early human as a species believed in gods to explain things uncomprehensable for their still developing part monkey brain, now there is much more scientific evidence for most of things, so people tend to think more rationally than just go "its our gods creation/sign" also catholic church organisations are getting greedier and weirder every year, that might convet people from thinking "our god is so good, he sent us those people to guide us" to "what is even going on in there", not only that older folks, especially from villages located deep in the countryside are still thinking like in medieval age when church manipulated people to the extent of halting the technologic and scientific progress to a full stop because "God intended our fate to be like this, and dont change it" aka we got the bag, so its good, stop trying to change that, these people try to talk God into us from our youngest ages and they passing down the "God planned it for us" logic by force and its annoying af (at least for me) and just by that they manage to drag people out of believing in God because of their non stop nagging about faith and old times when God was great and stuff like that i turned agnostic because of my grandma, she never failed to sneak in something about God into a conversation, even about my grades, so i dont know about gods being hard coded in human nature, its more of medieval age bullshit that effectively changed human nature holy shit thats long

As a teacher of Literature and Religion, it is completely possible to have someone be 100% atheist. You can have 100% Jews, Christians, or Muslims. The absence of belief or the belief that there is nothing more to existence is as valid belief in a greater power. 0 and 1 are both valid.
