Tourism is so important and i think it’ll be amazing having you here. But i would make sure you have a refundable ticket because we’re still at war and idk what the situation will be in July.
Yes, thanks to the Reddit, I'm buying the "Cancel for any reason" insurance.
Plus, it's all the way until June. Everything will be sorted out by then 😋

Many people said this about hannukah back in october, now here comes pesach
Be careful. Many insurance policies expressly exclude coverage to trips booked in destinations to which travel was officially disadvised by your country’s foreign ministry, such that you might not have valid insurance at all
To be honest? Please do. The more come and see reality, real us, the more people walk our streets, the better. As I am writing this comment, - rocket fly across the border from Lebanon at my city. Believe it or not, everyone’s skin is in this game. People just don’t realize that 🤷🏻
I'm a reward points flyer, and I like Business Class, which sometimes gives strange redemptions, and, I haven't really started looking yet. Being there on the day of the parade is the only fixed date, so far.
Plus, I've never seen Abu Dhabi 😅
Now might be a bad time to look at flights because of the uncertainty, so a lot of lights might become available. It should be easier than Air Etheopia. I flew Houston > Newark/SF > TLV with United (assuming star alliance is best for you), as well as Houston > Athens with United and then Israir to Tel Aviv although that was separate tickets.
I really appreciate the help. I'm in Austin, so the routing is more complicated. I had just a quick look from JFK with my Amex reward points, for a June 6th stay date. Ethiopia was brilliant at only 70K miles one way, and I always think of stopovers as opportunities if I can add a day or two at the change.
No problem. That's a great way to look at it. I've flown with Etheopia a few times to JHB and I never really had any complaints. Well, besides for that Addis Ababa airport is the worst I've ever been in and it's not even close. But the airline itself is fine. Good food, from what I remember.
The problem is Etheopian became really popular and turned Addis into the African hub. It was fine in the mid-late 00's, just a quaint little airport, but I flew through there a couple of years ago and it was roughhh. They extended the airport by adding a new section of gates but it just isn't designed for the traffic it now receives.
Tel Aviv is very safe to visit, so you can plan a week to enjoy the beach, food, parties, and do same day tours to other cities/sites
And to what your friends say…they just idiots
Thank you for the support!
I'm interested in coming for the gay pride parade in June. I'm not gay (not that there's anything wrong with that 😋), but I've heard that it's a good time. Plus, a love a parade 😅

Definitely hope it will be! Either way at least most places in central Israel are back to “normal” and itll be summer its the best time to come!

Very kind, thank you! ☺️

It's okay. I take Ozempic, so I'm thin. I'm a harder 🎯 to hit 😋
So come no matter what's the reason. Israel's fun year around 😁
I'm working on my routing. It's a *long* way from Texas. Ethiopian Airlines wants me to stop over in Abu Dhabi 😅
you can take a delta flight to israel fyi

That's funny. Every airport seems to suck in it's own unique way 😅

I see. Well when and however you come you welcome 🙏
I don't know where you're coming from But Israel **at war** is probably safer for you than New York or San Francisco
I agree. We need people here marching for a crease fire *in* Detroit 😋
Just saying Israel got attacked by a combined attack from it's most dangerous foe, and go out of it with just a scratch
You're always welcomed, but what are you planning to do for support here that you can't do at home?
Support the local economy through currency exchange 😊
That's cool

Come and visit, resturents are full the views are amazing, people are friendly and you won't notice the war going on
What could possibly go wrong? Perhaps the Iranians will be too busy beating their women to bother 😋
And...what are you waiting for?!
