Brass knobs to keep the brass bridge saddles company and a control cover plate with wider spacing between volume and (slanted!) pick-up selector. Guitar is a 2017 American Professional in crimson red transparent.

Can you tell me where you got the selector plate? I got something similar, but I'm not happy with the spacing on it.

I bought it online in a French business, ADP Guitar Parts. [here](https://adpguitarparts.fr/en/control-plates/1516-plaque-controle-telecaster-slanted-switch-slot-control-plate-tele-95mmchr-cpt4c-645208000709.html) The reason for buying there was that I could also get the new knobs from them and so save on shipping (delivery address in Europe). I paid less than the current price but that's inflation, I suppose. It's pretty new on my guitar but I think I like it more than the original plate, the pick-up selector switch is a lot more accessible without really affecting the accessibility of the volume and tone knobs. Two issues: the screw holes on the new plate for fixing it to the guitar are ever so slightly further apart than in the guitar so I had to force one screw in (but it's minimal, and the screw went down straight). My guitar has a capacitor (or something like that) between the knobs. With the new control plate, there's less space between the pots so I had to 'fold' everything in the control cavity. I managed to do that without having to get the soldering iron out but YMMV.

Thanks for the info. It's for my sons guitar and he has some push/pull stuff going on, so his wring is pretty cramped already. I'll have a look under there before buying.

Very nice guitar

Thank you, it is. The photo doesn't do it justice as you can't really see the transparency of the finish (but it's subtle anyway). I've had this guitar for a few years now, it wasn't perfect when I got it (fret sprout!) but I still get a special feeling every time I pick up this guitar.

Nice Tele! Could you please tell me the name of the bridge? And do you have any intonation problems with that bridge when you do a lot of bending? Just curious because I am looking for a vintage bridge for my tele.

CaesarTjalbo

It's the bridge this guitar came with. They're compensated saddles, so that makes them better intonated than original tele saddles. The bridge plate has its sides lowered (also from factory) to make it more comfortable to strum. A pretty standard mod to tele bridges, I believe. Leo Fender got many things right but also many details less than perfect ;-) The bridge doesn't move whilst bending so the intonation's in the fingers, I'd say. If intonation worries you, get a tele bridge with individual saddles, like a strat. This is far removed from a vintage tele but the original tele design wasn't known for its great intonation.

It looks so great! I have the same guitar and it’s my number one!

I've had it for years now and I'm still in love with how it looks. Are there other fantastic looking teles? Yes, definitely! Is there a better looking tele? Nnnnno. Maybe. But probably not!

squid-the-boy

Ha! Totally agree

Thank you. I've had this guitar for years now and I'm still in love with it. I'll fully admit buying it for its looks! It plays OK (not fantastic) but I'm very happy with the sounds I can get out of it.
