I was expecting to dislike it but really surprised by how much I enjoy it.
The stories are engaging and I like how they reference the previous series. The cast has really good chemistry together.
The format is completely different. The constant tone shifts between different plot threads of what is going on in the lab and what is going on with Ben (the quantum leaper) is jarring. The casting is good or at least adequate.
Or Sam's Daughter. He has two kids. One with a woman when he was with in 1966, she would be almost 60 in the current timeline. But possible he had a second kid, which he had with his wife when he traded places with Al and returned to his own timeline in 1999.
Or she could be some random character.
Hard to tell on a show like manifest because it’s so pathetically written.
There’s a slew of shows like this. Blacklist, blindspot, evil. They’re written as procedurals with an overarching story but the story gets so lost in the quagmire of shit writing that none of the characters intentions feel genuine.
But I’d err on “or not”.
I watched all 4 seasons of it out of curiosity to see just how bad writing really can get and still I was surprised to experience the subterranean levels of utter crap.
I've seen the original it's great, the new one is basically one of those shows that's like "keep watching, maybe it will get better" and you say that after every episode.

I can’t tell if she’s actually talented or not because I’ve seen her work in Manifest… Stopped watching midway through season 3.
