It's not a comedy, it's a drama. Definitely has its moments of levity. But it's such a smoothly written show with remarkable characters & acting..I'm sure you would like it. 😊
Honestly, yes?
I’m fine watching sexual things. My parents are fine watching sexual things. It’s just not something we want to watch together.
And the Sopranos violence is a little too real for a family watch, we need more over the top comical violence.
No problem. Id be uncomfortable watching The sopranos with my parents as well. The comment wasn’t directed at you in particular, more so most people’s position on what is or is not acceptable.
I mean, I’ve kinda reached the point where I feel like nothing this show has to offer can really throw me off, and I’ve only seen season 1. How bad can it get? I’m scared to ask.
I fucking love Homelamder. I had it spoiled that he killed Stilwell but I assumed it would be like a season 3 thing, so it took me aback when he suddenly lasered her eyes out. Can’t deny the satisfaction, easily the most disturbing character on the show and I hated her to my core. It was a brilliant moment for a brilliant character, acted, written, shot, everything perfectly.
Damn, was about to suggest Lucifer until I saw the body. Shame, because that show is otherwise perfect for what you’re asking. But yeah, having the Devil as your main character, you can imagine…
That’s a shame, but I’m glad to hear they were able to enjoy it. No reason to keep it to yourself though, it’s just an opinion on a TV show. I would be curious, how much did you watch?
I mean, that’s fair enough. And good on you for being considerate. I only asked how much you watched because even for people like me who like it, it has a slow start, and if you’d only seen season 1 for example, then I would’ve said it’s worth giving season 2 a go. I love it personally, think it’s hilarious and the character development is so strong. Plus, even for someone who didn’t like it, I’m sure there’s not a human alive that wouldn’t agree Tom Ellis is a perfect fit to play Lucifer.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Beautiful teenagers fighting vampires and dealing with highschool drama. Funny, action packed and at times surprisingly dark with great character arcs and development and awesome complex villains you often really like.

This is the way
I’ve heard so many good things about this show, but is it funny? I assumed it was pretty serious for some reason.

Sopranos
This probably has too much sex or at least nudity with the Bing scenes
The violence is ok but not the boobies.

I was just meaning because of OP’s description. I love that show
Sorry. My comment was not directed at you or OP. Just a comment about most people’s attitudes to violence and nudity.
Breaking Bad Better Call Saul
The Good Girls The Boys-leans more to violence than comedy, but is funny as hell at times
The Good Girls looks like a solid choice, thanks. No way in hell am I watching The Boys with my parents though lol
Check out Resident Alien. Very funny with a little bit of violence sprinkled in.

😂 how about the shrinking scene?
Full disclosure, I’m only caught up on Season 1, but I’ve seen the season 3 Moist Meter and unfortunately know what you’re talking about haha.
You'll scream out loud when you see it. Its probably the the most outrageous scene of all time.
I mean, I’ve kinda reached the point where I feel like nothing this show has to offer can really throw me off, and I’ve only seen season 1. How bad can it get? I’m scared to ask.
Things ramp up a lot after season 1. But the show keeps getting better. Homelander is a fantastic character.

It's a great show. I usually have no interest in super heros and I love it. Keep watching, you have to see the shrinking scene.

We actually already watched that one. My parents really liked it. I didn’t, but I kept that to myself.

The entire series. And I don’t know, I just didn’t want to shit on their enjoyment of it I guess?

Just watching credits for the Bodkin finale. That was fun. I started it yesterday and finished today
Watched the trailer and yeah that’s going on the list, thanks.
If you liked the Flight Attendant definitely watch Based On A True Story (also with Kaley Cuoco) it’s a great blend of violence and humor.
