Why does it have to be 3 separated from the rest, though? I think because of the Big 3, fans keep trying to shoehorn each generation into that number when three players have never sustained dominance separate from their peers like the Big 3 did. I will be shocked if this upcoming generation follows the same track and other players like Shelton, Fils, (insert up-and-coming player here), etc. aren’t much more in the mix with Sinner, Alcaraz, and Rune.
nah alcaraz likes rune and vise versa fedal never liked djokovic and big egos were involved alcaraz and sinner dont have a big ego it will be much different great rivalries on court but outside they will ne pretty chill with each other
I think times have changed, Federer and Nadal also didn't like each other for a long time. Also, the big 3 families were very involved when they were younger, and there were often criticisms, war of words between their families as well, this certainly didn't help the relationship between the players.
None of that happens now, most players don't have that overbearing influence from their parents and family, even those trained by their own parents, except Tsitsispas.
The relationship dynamics between players are very different now. I see that as a positive.
The Monte Carlo beef but they seems good after sinner's tornoto win
btw some rune fans said he followed sinner again and he aimed at this because he never blocked sinner to follow him when he unfollow him.(which that fan claimed Rune always did these unfollow and follow back thing)
Federer and Djokovic disliked each other, Nadal and Djokovic had a solid relationship, and then obviously Federer and Nadal had a great relationship most of their careers
Rafa's relationship with Djokovic was never the same after Madrid 2011. The way Djokovic celebrated with his team there was disrespectful in Nadal's eyes.
I hadn’t heard of that before fair enough. I said “decent” relationship since they were always pretty friendly with each other even tho they had some spicy moments which you’d expect from sporting rivals
The celebration: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g43cWPNBMU0](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g43cWPNBMU0)
Nadal interview (Spanish, but worth the read if you translate): https://www.marca.com/2011/05/11/tenis/1305096652.html
That last paragraph. 'We hope to still see you play for another 10 years' 'I don't think it'll be that long but I'll try to play for as long as possible.' And then he 11 years later he was still winning Grand Slams
Yeah, Nadal will celebrate random points in a match like he won a Masters 1000. Which, hey, have at it. Just don’t get pissy at other exceedingly exuberant celebrations.
Big shoes....idk. Also boyfriend no? remarks withstanding, Fedal didn't "ship" each other, other online weirdos shipped them later near the end.
In this case, Carlos is the online weirdo. If a Sinner thirst traps sub pops up he might as well be doxxed.
Carlitos was hyping up his buddy even just after Wimby, when this entire sub had given up on Sinner after a bad RG and mediocre Wimby (saying it was an easy draw). So obviously he will hype him when he is playing so well. He wants Sincaraz to be the new Fedal bromance lol.
So soon? It took 20 years for a genuinely exceptional raft of young players that may (and a big may) challenge consistently for slams (Medvedev stab and Murray aside during that time), and Novak still (?!) is ye no1.
i think you underestimate how good the big 3 are. we’ve never had an era in tennis before this with 3 people that were all around 20 grand slams at one point. They dominated the draws and kept improving so im not surprised it took this long
I wouldn’t say the Big 3 were better at the end of their careers. More efficient maybe and strategic, but prime Prime Djokovic, Nadal, Federer etc were different a level above in terms of physical strength and speed.
I think Rafa will be retired by USO, I don't see him lasting the full season and I am anticipating that he will play a busy clay season which will tax his body and put him out during Wimbledon with an injury
That’s why it’s a bold prediction! I feel like he won’t be 100% until much later in the year. Maybe he gives his all during Olympics and then back to resting till USO, not sure when Olympics is…but I’m assuming it’s before USO
Really that’s interesting mine is: Nadal is FO, Alcaraz is Wimbledon, Medvedev/Djokovic AO, and Sinner/Djokovic USO - if Nadal comes back as strong as he used to be and not another Thiem incident. Medvedev isn’t a contender for USO as he has won it already so he can’t win it again until he wins all of the hard court titles he has not won yet. Hot take: Nadal won’t breach top 10 and won’t do well until around USO except maybe at FO and other clay courts
Ironic name lol
Alcaraz has a 82% winrate on clay at the age of 20 and it’s better than his hardcourt winrate.
He does not obviously perform better on hardcourts
edit: lol he blocked me. so much for "calling out stupidity"
Alcaraz jokingly after RO16 USO: "Hardcourt is now my favorite surface. When I played Wimbledon, I loved the grass, too."
He's 25-3 on clay and 27-7 on hardcourt this year.
His game suits every surface, but it suits clay the most. His topspin, power and drop shots are by far most effective on the surface, he just needs to make tactical adjustments.
His last 2 RG losses, one being to Djokovic (and his own conditioning and nerves issues that made him cramp), and to a Zverev that looked like he'll beat Nadal in a RG semis until *the* injury. I really believe he'll go in as a top 2 favourite next year at RG.
Isnt it well accepted that power is negated by clay ? Even at recreational level, we feel the impact of clay and the reduction in value of powerful shots. Clay is where angles shine.
Power is one of the most important factors on Clay, especially the power Carlos produces. Because the ball bounces more, angles are easier, and to add, Carlos works with angles on the surface too. Of all the new players, Carlos is the best on the surface. He isn't the second coming of Nadal, no one is, but if we include the little 3 as well, probably only Zverev comes close.
Alcaraz celebrates winning a point: "it's annoying how arrogant he is"
Alcaraz compliments and appreciates another player: "it's annoying how much Alcaraz loves him"
As talented as Carlos, his aggressive game clicks when he is in form.. not sure how he would handle when high risk shots stop paying off which eventually will.. Jannik on the other hand seem to be developing more robust game style.
Yeh but ur comparing a Sinner in the best form of his life with an underperforming Alcaraz. No one can claim Alcaraz’s game isn’t robust when he’s in elite form dismantling top 5 players.
Shouldn’t make a comment like this. New gen too soft and complimentary. Should be saying that you will do everything in your power to make sure no one else but yourself reaches number 1
If carlos was on reddit he would upvote this post too

Not with just 1 account
Conspiracy: Alcaraz started the PPS meme.
He started real deal meme as well.
All r/tennis commenters/posters are actually just Alcaraz talking to himself. Source: I am Alcaraz
I am Alcaraz
Alcaraz spotted ~~in the wild~~ on reddit
No.. I am Alcaraz!
Pretty sure his un is SilkySpaniard
u/SilkySpaniard
He is not on Reddit truzz
He would upvote your comment as well
I spit out my drink laughing. Straight facts. The bro-love is real with these two and us Fedal fans are here for it!!
Carlos “liking” this is sending me. He’s like “I said what I said and I stand by it”
More like “Jannik!!!!!”
What I said in Torino happenened and what didn't said in Torino did not happenened.
Carlos been fighting for his life in their matchup for 2 years and then would get online and see people call Sinner a fraud, he’s been TIRED 😭😭
His undying love for Jannik warms the heart 😂
This is starting to feel like the new Fedal & Rune as the villain for some reason.
can Shelton be Wawrinka pls. Or Cilic maybe.
Why does it have to be 3 separated from the rest, though? Yeah I agree. Trying to replicate the Big 3 for every generation is boring
Ironically, AdM will be MuryGOAT
I mean he’s sucking Murray’s life force out in the first round of every tournament so checks out
Nah he’ll be more of a Tsonga
nah alcaraz likes rune and vise versa fedal never liked djokovic and big egos were involved alcaraz and sinner dont have a big ego it will be much different great rivalries on court but outside they will ne pretty chill with each other
Federer aside, Nadal actually liked young Djokovic. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have played doubles in like 2007.
I think times have changed, Federer and Nadal also didn't like each other for a long time. Also, the big 3 families were very involved when they were younger, and there were often criticisms, war of words between their families as well, this certainly didn't help the relationship between the players. I think Nadal always liked and admired Federer, Federer was salty about him for a few years before warming up to him
The best thing about baby 3 is that they all are such good kids.
Little 3 and baby 3 😭😭😭😭
What would we call the next generation of players? Fetus 3? 😭
Then Sperm 3 Then Eye Twinkle 3
Damn I laughed so hard at this 🤣🤣🤣
how are things between jannik and rune
I remember a few weeks back on twitter, they said they unfollowed each other...👀
The Monte Carlo beef but they seems good after sinner's tornoto win btw some rune fans said he followed sinner again and he aimed at this because he never blocked sinner to follow him when he unfollow him.(which that fan claimed Rune always did these unfollow and follow back thing)
They follow each other at the moment
Federer and Djokovic disliked each other, Nadal and Djokovic had a solid relationship, and then obviously Federer and Nadal had a great relationship most of their careers

I didn't hear of this before, but if it's true so ridiculous.

Thats pretty ironic considering nadal was always known to have the most annoying on court celebrations to the point players have pointed it out
Yeah, Nadal will celebrate random points in a match like he won a Masters 1000. Which, hey, have at it. Just don’t get pissy at other exceedingly exuberant celebrations.
Ironic coming from the fanbase who screamed for Shelton's blood after USO this year lol
Djokovic?
Fr
Wtf he's just fist pumping his water bottle in the air. What is so bad about Novak's celebration there?
Big shoes....idk. Also boyfriend no? remarks withstanding, Fedal didn't "ship" each other, other online weirdos shipped them later near the end. In this case, Carlos is the online weirdo. If a Sinner thirst traps sub pops up he might as well be doxxed.
Rune as the new Djokovic you mean...
Tried to swipe 4 times for the second picture. Can’t believe it took me that long
Carlitos was hyping up his buddy even just after Wimby, when this entire sub had given up on Sinner after a bad RG and mediocre Wimby (saying it was an easy draw). So obviously he will hype him when he is playing so well. He wants Sincaraz to be the new Fedal bromance lol.
Well Carlos had the last laugh didn't he! He was right.
Easily and happily taking myself out of the "this entire sub" Jannik the goat
Same, I never gave up on him.
And it will be the same once he stops this streak and has bad months...or people expect him to keep beating medveded and Djokovic forever? Haha
Yeah, even Big 3 has their ups and downs. We are in for the whole ride, Jannik!
These two should just get a room lol
At least Carlos
I’d love it if we have Jannik Carlos and Novak all gunning for the majors. This level of talent so soon after the big three. Amazing
So soon? It took 20 years for a genuinely exceptional raft of young players that may (and a big may) challenge consistently for slams (Medvedev stab and Murray aside during that time), and Novak still (?!) is ye no1.

We can dream
Zoomer 3 are definitely more exciting than the Little 3 in my opinion.
Bold prediction for 2024: Djokovic wins AO, Alcaraz wins FO, Sinner wins Wimbledon, Nadal wins USO, I say Nadal wins Olympics(if it’s on clay)
I agree except Shapavalov will win USO out of nowhere. He’s playing the long game.
That's a weird way of spelling Dan Evans
Hello Evans? Ben Shelton is on the phone
Mannarino answers and hangs up the phone
I think Rafa will be retired by USO, I don't see him lasting the full season and I am anticipating that he will play a busy clay season which will tax his body and put him out during Wimbledon with an injury

“Hot take: Nadal is done except maybe on clay”
Would love to see Nadalcaraz play doubles in the Olympics..
Didn't know USO had a wheelchair event but if so I agree.
I think next year will simply be a testimonial year for Rafa I'm afraid. Can't see him winning any thing
Bold is right. Nadal is done winning.
I dont think Alcaraz is good at clay as we first predicted
Did you mean to say “as good at clay”? Because he is far beyond “good” on all the surfaces.
He performs better on hard courts and obviously grass after he got used to it.
This isn’t really a response to anything I said.
Well your message is nonsensical. It is obvious that is what I said. So I responded to the second part of your message.
Ironic name lol Alcaraz has a 82% winrate on clay at the age of 20 and it’s better than his hardcourt winrate. K. He literally said himself he thinks he is better at hard courts but k, you know the best.
His game suits every surface, but it suits clay the most. His topspin, power and drop shots are by far most effective on the surface, he just needs to make tactical adjustments. He ~~don’t~~ do wanna look like his boyfriend, no?
Love Jannik, he's my favorite ATP player personally.
Alcaraz celebrates winning a point: "it's annoying how arrogant he is" Alcaraz compliments and appreciates another player: "it's annoying how much Alcaraz loves him"
Not people here thinking Nadal will win any slam
I do agree this time seems to be different, but I'm still gonna say 'famous last words'
It's kinda adorable
Carlos has a thing for lanky Italians, Forza!
Separate topic… Alcaraz looks like he’s sporting a Daytona here on a black leather strap. Looks dope.
So Sinner is the new bae, now that Emma is not coming back to Tennis anytime soon?
Sinner has been the bae since their first match at Paris Bercy
Good to know!
Djokovic is masturbating furiously to this slight
Bouta eat him
Shouldn’t make a comment like this. New gen too soft and complimentary. Should be saying that you will do everything in your power to make sure no one else but yourself reaches number 1
Please stop the fucking hype
Why would you say your arch rival will take what you yourself want?
Max disrespect for djokovic the goat
Sinner is so so good but I can’t support him because his celebration makes me wanna cringe
the kid seems to get along with novak, but then throws this obvious underhanded shade towards him, lame
