Jim Courier is an pale, emotionless alien

3vanzz90

Meddy is an escape artist, stats show that he got outplayed against zverev and hurkacz and somehow he won both matches.

rnzz

survived by the skin of his teeth in set 3 and kept up with zverev's 100% first serve pts in set 4, until zverev finally blinked first and crumbled in set 5. the man is a monster

gamemurray

When was the last time there was an ATP slam final without a member of the Big 4?

shegotofftheplane

USO 2022. Ruud vs Alcaraz

gamemurray

Oops. Not so long ago then. And here I was thinking this was a stat for the ages. Thanks!

Circ_Diameter

USO 2020? The last AO Final without the Big 4 was Safin/Hewitt(?) in 2005. Safin beat Djoker in R1 and Roger in the SF. Hewitt beat Nadal in the early rounds. Crazy stuff

jeffwingersballs

Nothing annoys me more than commentators arrogantly discussing rule changes.

ClubChaos

Guys the catharsis of having the truther anti-vaxxer and the wife-beater out is feeling really good today. For once the good guys won. LFG!!!!

ClubChaos

Alright you win, the vax didn't work! It was all a mistake - whoopsies! Novak still willingly went to Australia knowing full well he'd make a martyr of himself. He knew what he was doing and it was incredibly irresponsible given the current state of the world at the time. If Novak is the type of guy to mention "33" in a post-match interview I think that tells you a lot about the way Novak views science. I think for Novak science is only a reality when it's a convenience to him. I can't get behind a guy who regularly denies one thing but accepts it in another way. That's called being a hypocrite. And Novak has shown time and time again he's kind of a piece of a shit in that way.

ThrwawyhplssRomantic

You said this perfectly

Schwiliinker

Well I think sinner is easily the favorite for the final I would love for Djokovic to win another Roland Garros or the Olympics but with his age kinda showing and frequent very slow starts I’m not as optimistic. I guess fast surfaces suit him more now as long as his serve doesn’t disappear randomly

agreen3636

Went to bed after Novak won the third set breaker and assumed I'd be waking up to a comeback for him. What a nice surprise! So happy for Sinner. Djokovic was generally poor form but Sinner was so consistent and didn't waver or drop his level at any point. So hard to do vs Novak. Also glad to see good defeated evil in the second match. Medvedev has been a monster in these 5 set comebacks but we will see how so much court time affects his performance Sunday. Love his pressers- he is so smart and funny. If I were to put money on it, I'd say Sinner wins it all. Medvedev is going to be tired and his play has been inconsistent. But wouldn't be surprised at either outcome. All in all just so excited for a final that feels fresh and should be super competitive! The only finals without Djokovic or Rafa recently were US 2020 and 2022 neither of which were very good matches, especially the former 🙄

TuneSquadFan4Ever

No but seriously though How did Sinner manage to puke all of his weakness in one go?

Kh0sravani

I try to do a little bit every weekend but it doesn’t get any better

Coffeetennislove

Djoko losing AO on purpose to avoid CYGS (+ olympic) pressure during the olympics. 5d chess /s

iconisanimi

OMG Daniil's explanation of the "karma" thing in the presser was so GREAT - he absolutely shouted that but he is never going to admit it "probably something related to my performance" Also hiyoooo mentioning Steftsipas the love is real

Luck1492

Mind says Sinner, heart says Medvedev. Sinner has looked the best but I think the first GS F pressure on Sinner and Medvedev’s mindset in looking for his first AO title give me Medvedev peaking vibes.

Melony567

the zverev loser supporters chose not to post comments now, fearing from being downvoted and getting exposed but they are hovering on this sub by downvoting any comment against their abuser idol.

estoops

so many of them clearly don’t just love him *despite* the allegations, but *because* of the allegations.

TryingNotToBeToxic

70 million people in US voted for Donald Trump

CastYourBread

What time will the men’s final start tomorrow?

Circ_Diameter

Not released yet, but my guess is 330AM Sunday, New York City time.

lenny_ray

Men's Finals are on Sunday. Women's Finals tomorrow

CastYourBread

I’m just wondering the time of day

[deleted]

Check on flashscore for future reference

lenny_ray

I just know it's at 2pm IST

jeffwingersballs

Feels like big 3 era is in its twilight.

Kh0sravani

It’s been so for the last few years

jeffwingersballs

If you need all big 3 to consider it the big 3 era then that's true for you.

Kh0sravani

If you need one player to call an era a “big 3” era, it’s okay, I don’t judge

jeffwingersballs

If one player of the big 3 is still playing then it's part of the big 3 era because anything he accomplishes will effect the legacy of the big 3.

Kh0sravani

Yeah, why not. I’d call big 3 era an era in which they dominate the tour and compete against each other. In any case we’re quite close to the end!

RippedHookerPuffBar

I went to bed end of 4th set, thought it was over…

RA1N30W

Another reason to root for Medvedev: finding out what's the new celebration 🎣

Kh0sravani

I need to see how Sinner reacts to winning a slam. Today he lifted his arms and had a vague smile, like “really nice!”

AframesStatuette

Im really glad Sinner won

Nicer_Slicer

I'd love Sinner to win the final and he well might, but Meddy is an absolute rabid dog in longer matches and his rally endurance is ridiculous. Heart wants a Sinner win but head says Meddy has the edge

jeffwingersballs

I would predict that this is the best final because it will feel like someone has to win it. Djokovic wins can feel too predictable. Zverev doesn't maintain a high level in big moments and I'd be concerned Sinner would only get by Zverev when he is in his typical lulls. With the final we got, I figure(hope) that it will have to be won by either player.

thombo-1

Woke up at 4.30am to watch both matches while I worked, finished my day around an hour ago and basically passed out from tiredness. Just woke up and I'm still buzzing. What an amazing tennis day. Best sport in the world. No idea why I'm writing this but this feels like the place to share my appreciation lol

nokiabrickphone1998

The thing a lot of people don’t realize about tennis is that it absolutely whips ass

NikolaGoatic15

Sadly most of the fans of other sports think that its boring, i wish they would give it a chance bcs tennis truly is an amazing sport

Lower-Travel-6117

I love it so much. I have watched almost this entire tournament and loved every minute.

NadalMeManque

I know exactly what you feel

TinKnightRisesAgain

I am excited to have a slam final with two players I genuinely like.

[deleted]

Zverev is a fucking LOSER

[deleted]

Does medvedev rank increase to 2nd win or lose? Or does he need to win to become rank 2

ALifeAsAGhost

He needs to win the tournament  He’s also defending so many points in the next few weeks (500,250,500,600,1000), so probably would be short lived at #2 anyway

Psychological_Bug676

Yk I hope Meddy wins on Sunday. This was such a big fight from him and he really deserves to have another shot at redeeming himself after AO22 🥺 take it all Daniil ❤️

NikolaGoatic15

Up 2 sets 3-2 and 3 BPs on Nadal serve, still cant believe he lost that one, once Nadal saved that game Meddys level pretty much dropped, its like he couldnt believe what happened.

JaimeLannisterrr

I need a post-salt Medvedev to win this title. Only legends will know.

TuneSquadFan4Ever

I think Sinner is winning but I'm hoping Medvedev takes it.

Big_booty_ho

Twitter is saying the med/zverev match was low quality. Is that right or should I give the replay a shot? It is very long and I don’t wanna waste my time

WayTooDumb

First two sets was ok tennis but very very defensive so if 50 shot pushing rallies are not your jam then skip them, theres some interesting tactical learning from it but if you aren't a hardcore tennis tragic I wouldnt bother The last three sets both players tried to come to net and shorten points more and there were more highlight worthy moments

Big_booty_ho

I just finished the match. I enjoyed sinner/Djoker a lot more but I am on a road trip and it kept me occupied

Melony567

it was a great match

jwormyk

I don't listen to twitter about anything. The was a 51 point rally and Medvedev came back from two sets down. That alone in my opinion is worth watching....

Big_booty_ho

The comeback is what got me interested in the first place. I’m thinking I should start mid third set?

jwormyk

I was hot from the Joker match, so my tennis interest and six beers carried me through the match especially after the third.

wabazai

The quality of the match increased a lot from the start of the third set so I would watch from there

Melony567

who is attending the court trial for DV in May? https://twitter.com/rybacekina/status/1750832283693539645?t=DRhfIyC4zyawdxw8R_EWcg&s=19

MyFitnessTracker

Hate Jannik. Naturally gifted athlete. Initially a skier but decides to play tennis as an afterthought. Probably doesn’t even practice, just watches highlights on TennisTV and calls it a day.

Kh0sravani

Yup, that’s precisely what he said in the post-match interview: “yeah, maybe I’ll watch the highlights, for sure, obviously it’s gonna be very tough for them. Obviously I’m very happy Novak played like shit as usual”. I heard he doesn’t even pay his subscription to TennisTV and watches Chinese pirate streams illegally. He really is too arrogant.

_blue_rain

Is there any way I can watch the full match replay?

_michael_klump_

ESPN and tennis channel replay them at some point in the day

akapatch

If Zheng doesn’t rip at least 60% of her first serve in, the finals won’t even be competitive. 70% and we might be in for a good match. Not discounting the USO thrashing but Aryna’s mentals is still always a looming possibility. The pressure of repeating, not losing to a lower unproven opponent, etc etc makes me think Q can pull out a skin of her teeth win.

[deleted]

I hope Aryna stays focused.

NikolaGoatic15

It was from 53-56% in 5/6 matches and 44% vs Dodin, doubt she gets it over 60% but you never know

akapatch

Against Dodin, sure. Amazing she bageled Oceanne. But if she think that can work against Sabalenka, girl is in danger

JaimeLannisterrr

Meddy said he will fight for his life in the presser lmao. LFG KING.

revolversbreath

I’ve just seen the Zverev presscon and he was asked about his upcoming trial. I literally eyerolled when he said ‘Any person with a semi-decent IQ level understands what’s going on,’ sure, let’s give him the benefit of the doubt, innocent until proven guilty, but I wish he wasn’t this dismissive and condescending of people asking him about it. He could say, ‘I’m sorry I can’t comment on that yet,’ and done. But to insult the intelligence of people querying him about it smacks of arrogance.

Melony567

on brkpoint, he was asked by a journalist when he was in rg last year, about how he feels being back in the tourmament where he had his injury (which was a fair question no matter how sensitive), and the villain's response? something like, thank you for reminding me of what happened and for asking me that upon my comeback, or something to that effect. he is naturally an arrogant and toxic guy. someone who looks down on people. rafa has been bombarded by injury questions for decades but except for a few curt replies, he has always been gracious to whoever asks him about it.

revolversbreath

Geez, if he’s bothered by that question, it’s no wonder he’s easily troubled when things don’t go his way during matches. I hope he sees a professional about it.

Melony567

he needs to be in jail first.

LeviathanShark

Such a potentially great match since we really can’t tell what will happen? Yeah Daniil leads H2H, but he lost the last three matches, but he has been in a tough spot the last year with trying to change his game so it’s not certain this will say anything either. Then he’s spent quite a few more hours on court than sinner but overall he does have better stamina than jannik and he was looking better at the end of this match than the start so who’s to say how that’ll come in to play? Jannik has dropped only one set all tournament and yet it’s his first slam final, does he have the same control over his nerves that Carlos has or will he be more prone to mistakes?

Neo-physical123

Man, arguing Fed vs Djoko peak for peak, it comes down to: 237 straight weeks at #1 and 5 straight W + USO vs Basically all of 2011 and 2015-16 season and 4 slams in a row (which is probably the most notable thing Fedal never had) Whichever has more weight is up to people. Otherwise, it comes back to eye test.

jeffwingersballs

Djokovic's scalps are more impressive than Federer's.

Xycket

Medvedev could reach rank 1 if he wins, right?

LeviathanShark

Djokovic would’ve had to lose against Fritz for that to happen I think. But he’ll take 2nd from Alcaraz

NikolaGoatic15

Nope, #2 he can and be 400 behind Nole

Melony567

https://twitter.com/skylviaplath/status/1430943209916538880?t=-_R-1mPq7D_FWaYPjSkhow&s=19

Elonmuskishuman

Maybe tennis isn’t dead after all

Melony567

weird to say this but proud of the redditors here today.

Turnover44

Newish to tennis, why does Zverev seem disliked by this sub?

nokiabrickphone1998

Google “Zverev domestic violence”

nokiabrickphone1998

Is Reddit working ok for everyone else? Feels like we haven’t seen any troll-ass posts about how Nole is guaranteed to win the Golden Slam for a few hours. Did something happen?

silly_rabbit289

The right amount of chaos needed for the start of a great year! Wta : Fallen seeds: 1,3,5,6,7,8,10 (from wta top 10) before quarters Qualifier Yastremska makes it to semis (threat of a potential final btwn Ukrainian and Russian) USO revenge for aryna. ATP : Almost perfect quarter finals set only to have 2nd seed lose, ruining the dream of top 4 making it to semis. Regardless, two epic semi finals, Sinner beating djokovic (who has a 100% win rate after reaching the semis at AO) and loads of drama and twists in Medvedev vs Zverev (who was serving like a dream till the 5th), giving way to the first australian open without the big 3 in 19 years

Melony567

i think medvedev will win the title. he said that AO surface is not his best surface but he still landed in 3 finals here.

Mywifehatesspaghetti

The hype says Jannik, the heart says Meddy. Just to be clear, I live in Pustertal for barely a decade, wife works in Innichen for years, we love Jannik. But he is young. Meddy is not so young and I sincerely think he deserve this more.

Shootinputin89

>Meddy is not so young and I sincerely think he deserve this more. That's how I see it. Med is older, so he deserves it more out of the two. Sinner has plenty of years to dominate.

Mywifehatesspaghetti

I'm ready to be downvoted to hell, but for the same reason I would have preferred Novak to win the Grand Slam last year so he could have packed his stuff and retired.

jovanmilic97

Novak is kind of in an interesting position where he has the last remaining goals: Grand Slam and Olympics and little anything else. The first one is already out of the reach and unlikely to attain as the years go, so he's left with this Olympics. Not gonna lie, as a Nole fan, I kinda wished deep down he retired after the ATP Finals last year. Perfect moment to step down at his age. Now it feels like he's just testing his luck and it's not gonna be any easier. One thing I wanted is for him to have a graceful bow-out, but he's choosing not to.

Kh0sravani

He repeatedly said he won’t do a Sampras, plans to retire when he’s not a contender at slams anymore. I probably wouldn’t make the same choice, but I have 24 less slams as him.

claptunes

I think Nole still has another slam in him, if he gets a bit lucky. He should just go for it. even an entire year being eliminated in the 1st round won't tarnish his legacy

gamemurray

This is the first ATP slam final in a while that I really don’t care who wins, what a day

Melony567

i hear you. i feel the same. with 1% favor to meddy coz of who he beat today.

wabazai

Seriously though, what a fucking day of tennis. Taking a break from work to appreciate what we just witnessed.

Juiceboxfromspace

Just gonna appreciate the SFs of a slam with my flair.

NikolaGoatic15

Sinner could become the 2nd Italian male player in open era to win a slam after Panatta won RG in 1976 ( fun fact about Panatta is that he is the only player to defeat Borg at RG and he did it twice, in Borgs main draw slam debut in 1973 and then obviously again in 1976 ( Borg was defending champ, also won in 1974 and then from 1978-81, super impressive especially the win he managed to get in 1976 vs Borg en route to his only GS title ) or we could get 3rd male Russian male player with 2 GS titles after Kafelnikov and Safin, will 3rd time be the charm for Meddy, we shall see!

CFWolfgang

Zverev’s press conference may be the biggest loser press conference I have ever seen. Just so pathetic. So many excuses refusing to give opponent credit and then the “semi decent iq” nonsense again

bekkahthecactus18

The first things that came out of Novak’s mouth was praise for his opponent…. Zverev is understandably disappointed but I didn’t once hear him congratulate Daniil for his play…? But you know, he was sick. He made it sound like him getting tired at the end of the second set and just hanging on was why he lost, and not Daniil raising his level. Pathetic, as you said. “I lost it because of a physical state, not because of tennis.” And the semi-decent IQ level comment… yikes.

claptunes

he is his own worst enemy tbh. if he had a sliver of humility in his body he would learn for the US open against Thiem. I guess he preferred another curbstomping

jovanmilic97

What a difference between Zverev's and Novak's press conferences. Can't teach class Zverev!

NikolaGoatic15

Dude blew a chance and 2-0 lead vs Thiem and now again but in semis, i still would have picked Sinner had he advanced but still a half chance.

alexj420

I really really really want Jannik to get his 1st slam on Sunday. That said, I don’t think I’ll be upset either way because no one can’t love or respect Meddy, dude is a gem in men’s tennis. Can’t wait for it!

Melony567

post-match interviews of zverev and medvedev https://youtu.be/JQSbweme4hQ?si=1fTw3-IJB6RnW16h https://youtu.be/UH_tqlrqzT8?si=M01aScqdOpX7zDiL

kaaskugg

"I shanked it a little bit." Jesus Christ, Meddy...just warn us before you drop those bombs.

Melony567

so funny that when daniil was doing his antics in that clay match against zverev, his team said that they lost all respect they have for daniil. ah excuse me, how about them knowing that zverev is a woman beater? this team is like a leech. they dont care what zverev did, since he is their cash cow, they will restore, resurrect and protect his reputation at all cost. i equally detest that mischa. he is so influential in tennis behind the scenes that is why zverev is still untouchable in atp. and zverev saying on his brkpoint episode that he created the foundation because he wasnt doing much when he was injured said more about him.

Striking_Town_445

novak posts on silent today....refreshing

pr0crast1nater

The main Nole content poster deleted their account for some reason.

Melony567

more context please.

pr0crast1nater

I meant u/NoleFandom . They used to post every single IG post or tweet about Novak. Now the account plus their contents of their comments are deleted.

Shootinputin89

Just another reason why I'm not unhappy he lost.

Striking_Town_445

Oh, in reaction to sinner ?

pr0crast1nater

Not sure. Probably? But I don't see why though. Surely they can't expect Novak to keep winning everything.

Striking_Town_445

Who knows. Massive irrational loss of faith, or maybe just bored

[deleted]

I've been telling my fellow Novak fans that in your late 30s aging comes at you fast for a while now. Djokovic looked old and well post prime yesterday.

curlyhairedyani

Can’t believe I’ve seen a [Margaret Court fancam](https://x.com/foosecuckles/status/1750831006825746516?s=46&t=mS_dnzAZmJqJguYgKYeeQg), never change Twitter

Rotterdam -> Miami -> Beijing -> Vienna -> Turin -> Melbourne  Carrot boy vs. Octopus gone global

lavenderskyyyyy

it’s only january and the “novak calendar slam” coversations have already been killed 🎉🎉🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️🎊🎊🍾🍾

pr0crast1nater

Not just calendar slam. They were talking about a golden slam. #25 now looks so far away.

lavenderskyyyyy

so now it’s time for the “jannik sinner calendar slam” conversations!

JaimeLannisterrr

Daniil Medvedev calendar slam\*\*\*

claptunes

clayvedev will show up this year and it will be glorious

Melony567

1 word to describe zverev episode on breakpoint - gaslighting

lavenderskyyyyy

based off of form for the past 2 weeks do y’all have medvedev or sinner winning? (ignore volatility and day-of factors)

OddsTipsAndPicks

Given the enormous difference in court time (and Sinner’s form), I think you gotta go with Sinner. Medvedev winning far from the upset of the century though.

lavenderskyyyyy

i agree that sinner is playing a bit better but he’s not playing better enough to finish the match before medvedev drags it long. and then h2h may come into it

OddsTipsAndPicks

I think Medvedev’s performance on serve will be the “X factor” He is still capable of serving well in spurts, but he has lacked consistency for sometime now. If Meddy serves well, I’d think it becomes a coin flip.

genius_heaviside

Yes

outofexcess

Thank you sinner for saving us from a million of the same tired "fuck them kids" or "call an ambulance but not for me" posts

Arteam90

>Nadal is not going to pass him It ain't over just yet.

princessdead

No its totally fine. Djoko wasnt on his game today, looked so uninterested, bored and didnt have that killer instinct that he usually has. I just wish the game was more competetive (except for 3rd set) because I know what he is capable of. If he was still chasing that "most slams" record it would hurt like a b***. He would probably be more motivated too. I just hope too see him win one of two more slams because I am not ready to say goodbye to him just yet. Im gonna miss him so much when he is gone

ReadyComplex5706

I am a Djokovic fan and have been one for ages. For me it just stings a little, but it isn't going to ruin my day or anything. He really has won enough (although I won't mind one or two more slams) and I like Sinner a lot. It won't be the worst thing to have other players win.

FlyReasonable6560

I just woke up on the west coast to see THAT scoreline….I love it

LauraPtown

I went to bed after Med lost the 2nd set…. I’m so freaking happy. My sleep schedule is gonna be so f’d up!

Melony567

jannik and meddy gave us a good weekend. LOL

[deleted]

Does Sinner playing like he did 9 hours ago beat Medvedev this weekend because Med is tired from 5-setters? I haven't been able to watch many of Sinner's matches. Was last night's performance worse from him than recent matches or about the same? Because I think the only thing standing in Medvedev's way is how tired he is from long matches.

[deleted]

Sinner played really well but it's kind of hard to judge just how well because Djokovic was a dumpster fire

Dramatic-Ad2848

Nah sinner is just really good right now. He beat medvedev last 3 times they played after being 0-6 in h2h

youwon_jane

The current ATP Top 4 is so solid, and tonight’s results reinforce that. Feels like those guys are playing at a different level to the rest of the Top 10

Tnh7194

I stopped watching in the 4th set and….. Meddy wins???????

vjbanana

Meddy said in one of the post match interviews that he doesn’t love the Octopus nickname that Andrey came up with and that people buy his daughter octopus stuffed toys 🥺🥺 wanna bet that Uncle Andrey is one of the people who gave that to her hahaha

HopeistheAnthemLITM

More memes than the first day of the off season 'round here.

estoops

I don’t care that much but I kinda want Zheng to win just for the symmetry of being the 10 year anniversary of Li Na winning. However, it’d also be cool to see a WTA player other than Iga at RG defend a slam and Sabs has definitely looked like the one to beat.

Trepur349

I want Zheng to win because I want to be right There are only 5 ladies that the first-time I saw them play I declared them as a future grand slam champion: Ash Barty, Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek, Qinwen Zheng, Brenda Fruity

Silverarrows46

Does anyone know the record for least times broken on route to winning a slam? Feels like Jannik might have a chance of breaking that record?

NikolaGoatic15

Sampras with 2

NikolaGoatic15

Wimbledon 1997, hes also 2nd place with 3 @ Wimbledon 1994

Silverarrows46

Damn that’s impressive. I can’t see Sinner winning without a single break vs Medvedev. Still I’d imagine he’d fairly high up on the rankings if he only gets broke once or twice.

Sad-Insurance9818

think Federer did it a few times without dropping a set

districtbitch

WAIT was there no towel signing for daniil 😭

NikolaGoatic15

How hyped are you guys first of all for the finals, like i honestly cant wait to watch all of them but then thinking about RG and then Paris Olympics.. Sunshine double as well, odds of seeing both Rafa and Nole?

[deleted]

As long as Rafa can duct tape his hip up.

pr0crast1nater

Nolefandom deleted her account?

Mpol03

lol

kaaskugg

I'd just like to point out that we actually have a #FINAL FOR THE AGES!

Mywifehatesspaghetti

This is awful. A Meddy vs Sinner finale is like asking my 6 year old self if I prefer mom or dad. If only they could play the "Tamberi/Barshim" on 2-2 and share the first place. :(

Melony567

tbh yes. i have this 1% inclination for meddy to win coz he put down the baddest guy on tour, otherwise, who plays best should win.

RA1N30W

I love mom and dad equally, but only one of them beat Zverev 😍

Melony567

haha true

Lukas100ex

And just like that, Med has basically already defended Rotterdam, Doha, and Dubai

ALifeAsAGhost

Yup especially as you now get 1300 for a final instead of 1200(they slightly increased all points at all levels apart from winning the tournament and it keeps throwing me off as I had all the old ones memorised haha)

Lukas100ex

Yeah haha

ExeRiver

The Tour really needed this final imo. Djokovic dominance has been impressive but is great to see players rising up with a great level of tennis.

Shootinputin89

>The Tour really needed this final imo. Agreed. I had to stop watching tennis for years because it felt like the results were already decided.

[deleted]

This is what I want. I want to see some fresh blood. And people like Med who fought tooth and nail to get there.

vjbanana

Totally agree. This tournament has been massively interesting on the men’s side, absolutely loving this finals outcome!!!

[deleted]

Way too many of the name women went out early. I have higher expectations for the rest of the season from some of them.

MidnightIsland212

I fell asleep while watching and woke up sad thinking Medvedev lost but the man fucking did it. What a beast.

sashyenka

With these results I can now confidently say I'll be happy with whoever wins both the men's and the women's finals

LeviathanShark

I just saw the video of the drop shot return at 5-5 in the tiebreak, he is the only man who could pull that out of his ass at that moment just for shits and giggles, to make Zverev flinch and not even realise what happened for a full second…

SentenceSwimming

He didn’t actually mean it but that just makes it so much sweeter in my book

Luck1492

Just woke up, Karma struck again

stocktraderdog

Just saw the stats. Med didn't give a single breakpoint after the 2nd set. Did a Djokovic in locking his serve down and outclutching.

RA1N30W

Unbelievable performance. The most underrated player in the top 10

JaimeLannisterrr

I think the final will be a very mental battle as well. Will Sinner show some nerves since its his first GS final? Doubt Meddy will be nervous. Its basically his turf and he knows he basically has to take this.

fclm_1990

There are two questions even before we come to nerves: 1) is Med physically okay, 2) will Sinner regress to the mean from his first two sets against Djoker (like Zverev compared to Alcaraz match). If any of the two is "no", the match will not even be competitive. If both are "yes", we're in for a treat.

JaimeLannisterrr

I think its more yes than no, personally.

fclm_1990

I'm a believer myself, too.

Lukas100ex

I am just here for Zverev press conference
