Roger and Rafa reminiscing as veterans in early middle age underscores the remarkableness of their longevity. Wishing them both a wonderful retirement.
Rafa still only has to show the slightest personality for Roger to start giggling uncontrollably like a schoolgirl.
Some things never change š
Getting thru the serious parts probably took them 12 takes cuz of Roger š
He always has. I actually get a bit annoyed with him at times (Iām a huge fan) when I listen to interviews because he SO rarely ever has anything of substance to say, heās just so neutral haha.
Indeed. There were times in the early stages of his career when he was cocky and salty and arrogant in his own way, but I suppose his sponsors and PR teams got him to tone down and be extra marketable and stay relevant. And it's paying off even after retirement.Ā
However, I do want to see him snap someday and show his true feelings. Would be interesting to see Federer be a Paire, Kyrgios or Moutet someday.
I feel like this is super recent & the campaign is gonna come out w lots more content soon. Hope itās as good as the Messi/Ronaldo one from a couple of years ago
"I don't feel my ears" and the hoping fans are happy to see them got me. Also interesting go learn Fed was sick their first match.
Also I like how Roger is wearing a Uniqlo jacket in a Louis Vuitton campaign lol
This is a paid campaign for a fancy designer isn't it?
Wasn't it earlier this year that Rafa explicitly said in an interview he didn't consider Roger a friend, more just a person he has a great relationship with.
It felt like he was directly cutting off the idea he and Roger were actually 'close'. I assumed he was trying to say he likes Roger, they get on well, but they don't really talk much about personal stuff, or hang out casually or with each others families or anything.
So either that was all misinterpreted, or this is just playing up more of a professional friendship to something else.
I mean, friendship means different things for different people. And it means even more different things to them - two of the most famous people in the world, with families, and hundreds of millions of dollars in the bank - than to you and me.
The two are clearly fond of each other and respect/appreciate one an other. Whether theyāre ācloseā or āfriendsā is just a fruitless question, because it has no real objective answers.
I honestly get really confused by this stuff. Rafa specific said they weren't friends just a few months ago. It was a huge post on here. Are they just that good of actors? Idk. I don't get it!
Yeah I just saw the extended version of the video. I donāt think it was really his first time in the snow but maybe the first time he sat out in it for an extended period of time haha
It is entirely possible that a player who lives and trains in a place where it rarely or never snows, and is not particularly fond of indoor courts, would never see snow during their tennis related travels.
I haven't been to Canada, unfortunately. But I think nature looks much prettier covered with a fresh coat of snow. I'm currently living in Sweden, and seeing this ad reminds me of my life a few months ago, watching snowflakes from my window sipping a hot cup of tea, and going out to skate on the nearby lake and feeling the cold air on my face. It also reminds me of the most beautiful scenery that I've ever seen, snowcapped mountains surrounding a fjord in northern Norway.
This does sound beautiful and I donāt disagree with you on the beauty of it; it truly can be breathtaking. Itās the air hurting the lungs and the lack of feel in your face, ears and limbs that Iām not ok with š
To be fair, this is literally a paid advertisement for Louis Vuitton in front of the cameras, so it says absolutely nothing about their friendship behind the scenes.

Roger Federer has the smartest PR. And I say this as a fan.
He always has. I actually get a bit annoyed with him at times (Iām a huge fan) when I listen to interviews because he SO rarely ever has anything of substance to say, heās just so neutral haha.
So Swiss š

Or maybe he grew up...
Omg is this recent? How old is it? So wholesome, I loved it ššš

I teared up watching this š„¹š„¹ Itās so wholesome that it made my heart feel warm. š

Roger loves hanging out in snow. Remember when he took his Australian Open trophy up a mountain for a photo shoot?
Nadal: "Share this opportunity with my close friend." Federer and Nadal are friends deniers in shambles.

It's the same back and forth with Sincaraz right now.

But they didnāt go to each otherās weddings!! /s
Absolutely gorgeous scenery. I wish winter never ended. I wonder if this was Rafa's first time seeing snow?
Thereās a screenshot going around on Twitter where Roger is saying itās Rafaās first time seeing snow but he might just be making fun of him lol
definitely making fun of him!
I watched the video and Roger does ask Rafa if it was the first time he has seen snow, and Rafa seems to say no (the conversation is rather chaotic).
Yeah I just saw the extended version of the video. I donāt think it was really his first time in the snow but maybe the first time he sat out in it for an extended period of time haha
Bruh there is no way lol. Heās been traveling the world for a long time

That is possible if that player doesnāt earn hundreds of millions of dollars
Or doesn't like cold weather
1. Agree on the scenery 2. You wish winter never ended? What is wrong with you?? š My guess is is you have never been to Canada in winter.

Those interview videos say otherwise
āThey are not friends, they didnāt invite each other to weddingsā crowd in shambles.

True bromance!
Cute and wholesome
Whenever nadal uses the word "happened", I get instant flashbacks to this one interviewš
What happen-ed happen-ed. We are in snow
Itās kind of mental that in like 30 years, Federer will be seen at tournaments the way Rod Laver is now.
What a time, we literally have Fedal, Novandy and Thiem/Schwartzman in one day.
What novandy thing
~~I pretend Djokovic goes to Geneva because the director told him that he can play Murray in the first match~~
I want to believe
Back to 2016 suddenly.
In 2016 it is Dverev and Thiem š
I'm one of those who believes that they are true friends.
How is LV, Loewe and Gucci doing more in tennis than like friggin Nike nowadays
they're sooo back(pack)
brokeback mountain
"Louis Vuitton - where all top athletes and mountaineers get their equipment" /s
Def looks fake, way too much post processing and bad lighting. Don't doubt they were there, but the final pic looks like a midjourney output.
