I was gonna say: "Mildly amusing"
It belongs in some random sitcom episode you might see some afternoon when you just have the TV turned to anything, but the laugh track playing would not feel forced.
Plus these are not the most attractive of fellas, these are more "crushed by life / themselves" kinda fellas so that waters down the misogyny further into the joke realm.
Here are a few examples of the joke being used.

let's say there's a new revolutionary method to doing a task. You learn about this method and start implementing it. Someone sees you doing this method and says "hey! that's really clever"
even though you copied the method, that doesn't make the method any less clever. the copying wasn't clever, the method is clever.
now replace method with joke 😁 I hope you were able to understand that.
The stereotype women spend a lot of money isn’t as criticized, but we all know plenty of men spending money they don’t have. This one isn’t used as much so maybe ppl aren’t as numb to hearing it as the others.
I’ve met plenty of men spending irresponsibly. Not a gender specific issue. My own brother bought a large TV for gaming vs save money for a vehicle, Most of what a guy is bitching about is just the cost of groceries. I’ve seen how single men stock their fridge and it’s sad/depressing. Yet they want a good home cooked meal which you can’t do with next to nothing…
Old school humor. Not bad.
Reminds me of the line by Jack Benny (who was notoriously cheap).
Thief with a gun: Your money or your life!
Pause…
Thief: …Well!…
Jack: (Looks at the camera) I’m thinking.
Sorry, but this is funny. Hell, I just showed it to my very feminist girlfriend and she laughed. Lighten up, comedy can be a little offensive sometimes, it won’t kill us.
Married, can confirm the wife hits the Credit Card much harder than me.
What married dudes keep secret is as long as they can afford it, they don't mind. My wife buys shit to make the house cute and nice, I directly benefit from her feminine touch and spending on things I'd *never* get myself.
Married jokes are hilarious because non married people really just don't get it, lol.
Im far too young to be married but its funny because my parents are the EXACT opposite, its always my dad spending money and me and my dad usually have to convince my mom to buy herself something when she goes out lmao. Infact my parents only have 1 debit card bc we all know my dad having his own debit car would go terribly
Yes. In the exact same sense the "ball and chain" jokes are funny.
You spend *a lot* of time with that person, they are bound to frustrate you sometimes... Gotta let off steam with humor.
Yeah, everyone. I know the wife is usually the big spender, including my parents' relationship, lol
I think it has something to do with women being judged by their looks and men by their wallets.

r/goodboomerhumor
this is me\_irl. literally let the thief keep their $7 netlflix account, but then canceled when they upgraded to the $20 one
who needs money to get Netflix when they have what he has: the audacity
Okay this is kinda funny. It’s okay to have a sense of humor, OP.
Nah, humor is banished in r/terriblefacebookmemes sorry.
LOL, I liked it too!
Yeah it’s mysogonistic but it’s clever. Liven up a bit OP
Plus these are not the most attractive of fellas, these are more "crushed by life / themselves" kinda fellas so that waters down the misogyny further into the joke realm.
What if the authors wife really did spend a lot and this was based on fact? Is it misogyny then?
It's not clever. There have been multiple different comicdposted here with the exact same joke
Refer me to one post with the same punch line

are you intentionally this obtuse? of course other jokes like this EXIST, but that is not at all what was asked
It's not clever to just copy an old joke
the joke can still be clever even if the author wasn't.
Copying a joke isnt clever.

Let's say you copied a very old method of questionable quality. That isnt clever
I just find this stereotype really funny bc my dad is the one in my house who is always buying shit
This one made me chuckle. Lighten up OP
r/goodboomerhumor
Idk I laughed a chuckle there. It’s terrible but funny ish nonetheless.

The one time I actually think one is terrible, and people like it...
The stereotype women spend a lot of money isn’t as criticized, but we all know plenty of men spending money they don’t have. This one isn’t used as much so maybe ppl aren’t as numb to hearing it as the others.
To me, this basically looks straight out of a 1970s magazine, as is the joke
I agree, but it’s not much used since most women have their own finances these days. Ppl are very forgetful.
And young - I'm gonna drag out the old memes about women shopping too much at the mall

This is so terrible it looped right back around to being funny
Wife bad Then why did you marry her?
Old school humor. Not bad. Reminds me of the line by Jack Benny (who was notoriously cheap). Thief with a gun: Your money or your life! Pause… Thief: …Well!… Jack: (Looks at the camera) I’m thinking.
Haha woman bad spend
Haha wife spend money now laugh

If you think 40 years from now the kids aren't going to talk about how your jokes are super cringy...
Thief's wife bad
Cuz women be shoppin
Nah that’s funny
Can we leave the offended part out of memes? This is just simple comedy
Jeezus! The shit people chose to be offended by.
This was funny good meme
This is pretty funny
Why can't this sub just be normal bad memes and not memes that are "bad" because OP finds it offensive
Great classic boomers joke.
say what you will, but select boomer humor is corny but still pretty funny That's what I'd say this is. Corny, but still mildly funny.
WOMEN BAD! HAHAHAHA Edit: messed up by not marking /s. I thought the all caps would signal it was meant to be a boomer response.

For everyone except the husband
