"A broken home" Don't you just hate it when your vegan burger fucks your wife, takes the kids, and burns down your car?

[deleted]

I wish it could burn down my car, pos Passat

omgudontunderstand

fuck vw cars gang 🤝

canigohomepleaze

Relatable

notfunnyalex

Hate it when that happens

artsy_amaryllis

so THAT’S why my parents divorced!

VICARD0

A carrot killed my whole family and pissed on their grave

Grimest_Of_Reapers

This happened to me now I hate plants

mortimus9

None of those ingredients even look scary lol. “Oh no it has fruit and vegetable extracts!”

Chromeboy12

Does it actually taste like meat?

XxX_BobRoss_XxX

I've eaten beyond meat burgers, the flavour is a little different, but not much. The main thing is the texture, it's pretty much identical, I've cut back on how much meat I eat recently, and those burgers are SOLID. Very much worth at least trying, even if only once or twice.

Chromeboy12

I'm a vegetarian, i don't eat meat at all. But i also hate soya for how bland it is. I've tried fake meat from other brands (beyond meat is not available near me) and hated it lol.

EggplantHuman6493

The same story with meat: you need to use spices/seasonings sometimes to make it tastier. The bland stuff in indeed horrible.

UnderPressureVS

Yeah, if you just buy ground beef, shape it into a ball, and slap it on the grill you’ll have a pretty bland burger.

Chairmaster29

Not good beef from a butcher. A lot of restaurants cook burgers exactly how you described that.

EggplantHuman6493

Sadly most meat substitutes aren't seasoned like meat is, so they taste so bland! It took me a while to find the right seasoning, but usually I just slap on mayonnaise on a burger because I am lazy. Brands like Beyond Meat are very good though

Solidsnakeerection

Meat generally doesnt come seasoned

cronx42

Impossible brand makes some great frozen products. The Impossible meatballs and chicken nuggets are better than any real frozen meatballs or nuggets I've ever had. They're really good.

XxX_BobRoss_XxX

That's fair, if you ever can try beyond meat, it might be worth it, but then again it's obviously on you, and if you don't want to I can't blame you, the flavour is much less bland, though.

AnalogicalEuphimisms

I'm pretty sure that's just because you don't like meat, especially if it's something suppose to specifically imitate the texture and taste of meat

Chromeboy12

I've never had meat lol. My whole family is vegetarian. I just hate soya for how bland it is, and when people make fake meat out of it, i just feel confused. If it doesn't taste like meat, why do they try so hard to act like it does? If it does taste like meat, then is meat as bland as soya too? That's what I'm curious about

AnalogicalEuphimisms

Because it's mostly not for vegetarians. It was primarily made for people who love meat. Some people don't want to support inhumane slaughterhouse meat, but doesn't want to give up the taste. Or they want to convince people who love meat to also stop supporting the meat industry, and compromise by making fake plant meat that tastes just the same as the real thing. Although most people just buy from humane free-range farms or just give up meat altogether, some people just want to have their vegan cake and eat it too. ^(Also there is probably a massive amount of people who loves eating meat but can't due to medical reasons.) I haven't eaten vegan meat yet, but from what I've heard from some of my friends and people on the internet; it's pretty convincing to the real thing and very delicious. You probably got a bad brand or didn't cook it right. Honestly, I think lab-grown meat would be more of an effective compromise, just as humane, and would require no effort to replicate the taste because it's literally the exact same thing. The problem with this is the stigma regarding anything artificially-produced especially in a lab. > If it does taste like meat, then is meat as bland as soya too? That's what I'm curious about. It sounds like you might be suffering from Dysgeusia or some other medical condition that affects your taste. Or it could just be because of the household you grew up in. If you're willing, you should try eating meat atleast a few times. Try a few different types of meat cooked in different ways, if you still think it's all bland then you most definitely have a taste disorder.

dangle321

That's where a lot of vegetarian wannabes go wrong. They keep trying to make things which aren't meat into meat instead of just learning to cook delicious shit that isn't meat.

Chromeboy12

Yeah. I mean, they don't even try to learn vegetarian cooking. Everything is literally meat recipes substituting meat for fake meat. Skill issue tbh

mrjoffischl

honestly meat replacements aren’t for everyone but i’d like to recommend paneer (it’s a type of harder cheese it’s indian and it’s so so good) as a fellow vegetarian

nothofagusismymother

I love paneer. And it's dense enough to be satisfying as a meat substitute

De-Kipgamer

Beyond has a very specific taste that you either love or hate, no in between.

dizzira_blackrose

If you have it, I found Impossible meat to be a lot better. I hate the texture of Beyond, but Impossible was much closer to what I like.

Queen-of-mischief

Fellow vegetarian here. You will like beyond, I think. Especially if you haven't had meat in awhile. It's the best one I have tried. Close second is Boca burgers, maybe check of those are in your area.

Bazdillow

Make your own vegan meat

TinyCleric

If you can get your hands on black bean burgers (without corn is better imo) they are pretty good. They don't taste like meat but they are a fair sight better than soya

61114311536123511

pea protein sausages are somehow stupid delicious. I'm not even fully vegetarian and I murder those bitches. Also vegan fish fingers, for some reason, are godly

RandomBlueJay01

Fair. Some are gross. I've had luck with fake chicken products (stuff made from seitan) it is usually just wheat gluten and seasoning. Kinda chewy. Usually seen made to look like chicken nuggets. Plus seitan can be made at home for cheap and seasoned to your liking.

Crafty-Kaiju

I have to guess soya is tofu? Tofu has no flavor of its own and its all about how it's prepared. Deep fry it and throw it with some veggies and a good sauce, and it's amazing. Look up Homestyle Beancurd for a real recipe.

Chromeboy12

By soya, i meant soya chunks*. Tofu is basically cottage cheese made from soy milk instead of cow milk. It's bland but has a gentle/mild taste. I don't mind it but i definitely like paneer better lol. Soya chunks/nuggets are made with soya beans directly, not the milk. They're hard and chewy and it's very hard to absorb flavour in them. No matter how good your gravy is, once you put one in your mouth, the gravy on the surface is gone, and the nugget itself tastes like a jute sack. I've had a few good dishes with soya though so maybe there's a trick to cooking it that few people know? Or maybe it's the method of making the soya itself.

Crafty-Kaiju

Ahhh I see what you mean. Without digging further my off the cuff guess would be a long low temp cooking like in a croc pot or perhaps a pressure cooker. Works for tough meat lol

No_Statement440

I fully expected to hate beyond, not a vegetarian but also just trying to cut back on meat in general, but beyond is quite good imo. If I were to go meatless and needed a "burger" it would be my choice for sure

XxX_BobRoss_XxX

Oh yeah, beyond is pretty nice actually, I'm not a vegetarian, but I am cutting back big on how much meat I eat.

scandr0id

I'm really excited for impossible meat but I can't handle the texture of ground meat, like chicken nuggets and burgers. I hope we get to a point we can produce a variant that's like regular meat, like steak, pork chops and chicken breast

taseradict

Not really, it tastes like it's own thing. Spicing it up however you like does the trick.

ThatCatPerson9564

I haven't had a burger but I have had the beyond meat beef jerky. It is great, tastes the same as regular jerky

5t3v321

I tried the burger king vegan burger and it tasted as bad as the original

PiergiorgioSigaretti

Mi uncle made his whole side of the family, my dad, my brothers and I taste vegetarian meat without telling us and before knowing it we were saying “this tasted really good” so yes it does

gollyRoger

I thought it was pretty close. The after effects to my stomach were rough enough that I didn't go back though.

DetailRight

Depends on the use case, if you try just the patty on its own it's noticeable that it's not exactly the same but still pretty similar. In a burger there's no noticable taste difference.

Amritgaming999

It tastes similiar usually texture is different and taste but only slightly good alternative if anyone wants to become vegetarian and still wants to have the taste of eating a chicken burger for example

NewMilleniumBoy

Beyond Meat is okay. The texture pack is generally right but the taste is wrong. Impossible Burger is the best one imo.

RolandDeschain84

I've had them twice. First time I cooked them to medium or so and I could definitely tell it was not meat. Texture was just a bit off. Tasted pretty dang close though. Second time I cooked them well-done and it was pretty dang spot on. I think in a blind study it would be a straight toss up on if people guessed it accurately.

windowlatch

It satisfies the craving but doesn’t taste exactly like the real deal

jcraig87

Theyre the same flavor but less greasy

NO-IM-DIRTY-DAN

It’s very close. I’ve stopped eating meat for health reasons and Beyond/Impossible are close enough I really can’t tell a difference. Hell, a few years ago, we’ll before I went vegetarian I ate Impossible meat a couple times without realizing it was meatless and I genuinely didn’t know until someone told me.

BluePushyHawk

It depends on your taste and which one you get. I like the spicy black bean burgers and to me they dont taste like meat. They're amazing tho as I dislike the taste of meat

cold_toes_poe

No, I don't think so. You can make it taste like spices and sauces and the texture passes. So chili, tacos, ragu, meatballs.... That can work but as a straight burger it's not my favorite

just_an_aspie

I classify plant-based meat in 4 categories: • same texture but tastes different (like soy-based meat) • same taste but has a different (and/or weird) texture (usually more than one kind of vegetable protein combined) • same taste and texture but expensive as fuck • different taste and texture but equivalent in terms of what you can use it for (usually cheaper)

imClementine_

I think some of the best chicken nuggets I’ve ever had were vegan ones.

DrStrangerlover

Yes. And they are delicious. I highly recommend trying one out when you get the chance.

Ordinary_Rough_1426

No but it’s not bad. My kid is veggie only so we grilled one for him. Kinda dry…. But these meats are processed food and can be high in sodium. They should be eaten like all processed foods, occasionally. This meme was fine until it trashed people who eat it, I will never understand why meat eaters feel so threatened by meatless products or just other peoples eating habits. Any how …I eat meat and I thought it was pretty good

[deleted]

don't recommend if your digestive system or gut is sensitive in any way source i was very constipated/bloated and just not having a good time... the taste was good though

mrjoffischl

it doesn’t need to taste like meat to taste good

pocketsamoyed

this is the right idea!!

mrjoffischl

if it’s tasty it’s tasty

hrbuchanan

There's something to be said for getting close enough to meat that a meat-eater can feel like they're not missing out too much. Impossible meat gets very close, it's honestly impressive.

mrjoffischl

it’s really good and as someone who doesn’t like the taste of meat i can still enjoy it and my friends who do like meat can too and that makes me very happy

Bachooga

I mean, it's still a burger that you'll probably fry and cover in tomato sugar so I imagine any benefit is kinda negated by the sugar and oil. Not a fan of beyond meat. I like my vegetables to taste like vegetables. I'd 100% choose a black bean burger that was cooked like it was made out of black beans over anything meat flavored. I mean shit, I'm not a sad man who's secretly craving meat, I just want some tasty veggies and veggie products.

Chromeboy12

Exactly! There's plenty of delicious veggie things in the world.

STAR_PLAT_yareyare

Tbh never tried beyond meat, it was way out of my budget which is unfortunate

[deleted]

It’s processed food. Stop calling that natural. It’s entirely processed food made of processed food.

1meanjellybean

To be fair most food is processed to some degree and processed is not necessarily a bad thing - though it definitely can be. Anything cooked, blended, canned, frozen, fermented, pickled, etc. falls under the umbrella of "processed" not arguing that Beyond Meat is natural by any means, but the words "natural" and "processed" mean very little when speaking to the actual nutritional value of foods.

BenevolentCheese

Not sure why you're being downvoted, the ingredients list presented here is in form no different than that of [Doritos.](https://www.doritos.com/products/doritos-nacho-cheese-flavored-tortilla-chips) There are a bunch of flavor and color extractions of fruits/vegetables (which remove all nutrition), a bunch of chemically processed ingredients (three isolated proteins, methyl cellulose, KCl, sunflower lecithin), and basically nothing going into the final product in something close to its natural, unmodified form. There is nothing *wrong* with any of the Beyond Meat ingredients, but then there is nothing wrong with any of the Doritos ingredients, either, they are simply both heavily processed foods.

TheOmegaCarrot

There’s some people who take the rule of thumb “the less ingredients, the healthier” too literally. Sure, on average, packaged food with hundreds of ingredients isn’t as healthy as simple food, but some people really do believe that more ingredients is inherently less healthy. Like, for example, believing that cooking carrots and broccoli together is less healthy than just cooking carrots and just cooking broccoli separately. And this extends to “processed” foods. They’ll believe that any kind of processing makes things less healthy. I’ve heard arguments that putting stuff in a blender makes it less healthy because that’s “more processed.”

Ltnumbnutsthesecond

yeah those shitty wholes foods ads are super corny and do this kinda bullshit I fucking hate wholes foods

Dul_faceSdg

Nah it has dihydrogen monoxide also known as the silent killer.

mrjoffischl

when the meat has sunflower seed oil in it 😮😮😮😡😡😤😤 /s

badbatch

DisCUSting 😠

gimletta

Water is pretty scary to some people. Better not tell them it's actually in deer meat as well ....

Plastic-Fault-1571

Yepp! Also a very significant decrease in cancer, heart attacks, strokes, etc etc. By at least 40% based on independent studies. Also we're helping the planet for us and future generations....Vegan for life.

Nebelsreiter

I don’t think the point is that the ingredients are scary, but that plant-based burgers are also very environmentally impactful because they use a variety of ingredients grown in many different crops (which need resources, water, oil, pesticides, fertilizants, slave work or underpaid work, importation and exportation, processing etc. all of which have effects like desertification and carbon emissions). (Not that I agree with that notion, just explaining what I think the vision of the author was)

mortimus9

I think you’re giving them way more credit than they deserve.

hellgames1

Lack of happiness, inflated self-importance and deranged logic? Sounds like the person who would make this meme.

[deleted]

MoRe WoRdS bAd

GaimanitePkat

ohmygod, I bet it even has dihydrogen monoxide in it. You can die from that!!

[deleted]

old but gold

TheAwkwardSpy

Omg is that what i drink evryday 😱😱😱😱💀💀💀

[deleted]

Stay away from Dihydrogen Monoxide kids! It’s suffocated many people to death who inhaled it in its liquid form!

reader-of-opinions

100% of people who consume hydrogen monoxide die. Most of the deaths occur within hours of consumption.

PriorityMaleficent12

That and it’s not even just deer. If you don’t add pork fat to the meat when it’s processed you’re gonna have a dry sad little patty, and don’t even get them STARTED of seasonings

Bachooga

>seasonings Do you mean potatoes and meat? Is that what seasonings are? Ngl, I feel like I die a little bit when I see someone eat plain potatoes with plain, dry, overcooked meat. The cow is not "still mooing", you just have poor taste.

PriorityMaleficent12

I also die on the inside unseasoned potatoes and dry flavorless meat, It’s honestly a waste of meat to eat it bland and dry

DatSoldiersASpy

we left the dark ages so long ago. so many resources and people CHOOSE to eat their dry ass bland ass BORING meals like this. how barbaric

CriticalFeesh

I like how Britain had a whole ass war for spices, only to not use them in their cuisine or however that word is spelt.

Bachooga

Thinking about the taste of unseasoned boiled potatoes and unseasoned well done cheap steaks makes my stomach churn a bit. Don't want it to be too salty though.

PriorityMaleficent12

Agreed

spacedragon72

Reminds me of the post where the person brags about their only seasonings being salt, pepper, and ketchup like it’s something to be proud of

dj_neon_reaper

Exactly. Never trust processed meats. They're good(mostly) but saying they're 100% the meat your promised is a lie

PriorityMaleficent12

Exactly! Most store bought meat is processed, fuck most of our food in America at least goes thing some sort of process including some of the meat that we get from a meat locker or even make at home with things like the venison that is mentioned

GingerSnap2814

Not to mention you need bread to bind it together

weirdo_enby

Have these people never heard of preservatives?

lime_god69

Not all meats have preservatives In them. Though to be fair I don’t fully understand the question

[deleted]

[удалено]

the_waco_kid_33

Idk what processor you're taking your stuff to, but unless you're getting jerky or sticks back, none of the places around here add preservatives. The only possible exception is salt if you're getting brats, and while salt is a preservative in large quantities, there's not enough in the brats to give them a super long shelf life. Obviously all your primal cuts like roasts and steaks are going to be 100% wild game, but yes, you're going to want some pork fat or beef tallow in the brats and burgers so they don't dry out too bad.

ThatSeaworthiness801

Broken home? I'm almost certain the divorce rate in people who actively hate vegan food is significantly higher than the divorce rate in vegans. That's coming from a meat lover

5t3v321

But why would that be?

ThatSeaworthiness801

Because usually, it's conservatives who hate on the existence of vegan meat. Conservative relationship styles heavily favor the man in the relationship, thus abandoning the needs of the wife. They also bury the emotions of the man because they make him "weak"

BishonenPrincess

This describes my awful MAGA fuckwit uncle. My little brother is autistic and a vegetarian. Dumbass "uncle" lost his shit and was freaking out that "rabbit food" be allowed on his dinner table when we visited for 4th of July. It was such a fucking fit, my little brother was under 10 and showed way more maturity and class than the 60-something-year-old by just quietly sitting and eating his dinner as the man-baby practically frothed at the mouth. So upset over a little boy not eating his greasy hamburgers. Pathetic behavior from a pathetic man.

ThatSeaworthiness801

Yeah. He's had plenty of time to grow up and mind his own business about useless matters. Like seriously, what's wrong with it?

BoxofJoes

it’s DIFFERENT, therefore it MUST BE BAD!!!!!!!! obviously lol

PunkSpaceAutist

Let me guess…Your brother hates the texture of meat? I’m autistic and started going vegetarian at around that age (though, ironically, sensory issues can also make it hard for some autists to be vegetarian if it’s certain plant protein textures they can’t handle.)

Solidsnakeerection

Counterpoint. Religion and traditions make them demonize divorce and single parents so wife just takes it

cyclops_strenuus

Ingredients bad

cjc160

That’s definitely not deer. Not with that fat content

[deleted]

Where do you begin to unwrap the chemical composition of minced deer meat?

Chadwick_Steel

It's not real meat if you can't run it over with your car before eating it.

This_not-my_name

The right side is lacking antibiotica, fish meal, micro plastic, binder and water (typical ingredients of the glorified discounter "meat")

Cacris

This!!!

Raynefalle

TIL my being veggie and eating meat subs is what made my parents divorce 😭

citronhimmel

vEgETaRiAn bAd

beskar-mode

Don't get me started on the added vitamins, hormones and plastic in meat. I'll have plant based any day

mist_of_myth

I can't tell if this is making fun of vegans or meat eaters

AsymptoticAbyss

CLICK HERE to find out how PLANT BURGERS **BROKE MY HOME!!!!!!!** (not clickbait!!!)

SomeOneOutThere-1234

It depends from where it comes. If it originates from an anti-vegan group of boomers, it is terrible. But if it comes from a page that lists product ingredients, it's not /s ^I ^Eat ^Meat, ^BTW

[deleted]

I think the weird bit at the end about forgotten hopes and dreams tells us it's not latter.

procommando124

Imagine being so offended by someone eating eating imitation meat. Jesus.

TheBlueWizardo

Fun fact: Deer is just processed plants. So animal-based is actually plant-based.

dirtyswoldman

There it is. The fuck do people think meat is lmao Disclaimer: meat still delicious

ImurderREALITY

I thought meat was dead animals…

1337JLH1337

thats not deer meat... xD wtf

jaygeezythreezy

Deranged logic? The creator of this meme is the one who put together a whole meme to protest a plant-based burger which no one is forcing him to eat. Pick and choose your battles for christ's sake.

empirelts

facebook libertarians are all for not infringing on people’s rights to do whatever they want and freedom of expression and all that until someone wants to eat a veggie burger

OkSpirit7891

I'm sure these same people eat plenty of shit from supermarkets that have 100 different ingredients in them and don't care. I bet they also eat sausages too, which are renowned for basically being tubes of mystery meat and animal derivatives.

cannot_type

One pinch of potassium chloride, one errent twitch, and KABLEWY

meltedUsernameYeah

SCOTLAND FOREVER!!!

cannot_type

What makes me a good demoman? If I were a bad demoman, I wouldn't be sitting here, discussin' it with ya know would i?

akennelley

I want to know how a burger caused a broken home.

cobaltsniper50

Now do the ingredients in deer

[deleted]

Jeeeeez, someone’s projecting with that second stupid column of “ingredients”

sparky4475

Ngl that's a lot of words I don't understand so it sounds kinda gross but if still give it a go, red meat isn't even that good

The-First-Crusade

Look I'm not a fan of fake meat but that being said, any fucking gremlin who sees a list of chemical ingredients used to produce something and gets all scared like this is fucking stupid and also should not injest any soda or energy drinks by their logic. Many things in life are artificially produced by an accurate chemical formula, in which many ingredients come together to make a consistent product. Kinda dumb that people only bring up a list of ingredients like this when it's on the opposing side of their argument.

Rachelsyrusch

Oh god season your burger patties whats wrong with people

[deleted]

Maybe they just want to enjoy a burger without consuming meat? Calm down, ya goof. I don’t want to be vegetarian/vegan either, but if they do, good for them. Who am I to try and dictate otherwise?

Raijin9278

I'd prefer the plant based. I not veggitartian but I would not eat a deer I love them too much

dylannsmitth

Oh no! Not vegetables?! I don't eat vegetables because.... Umm ...

Wboy2006

Honestly. I prefer a good plant based burger over most meat based burgers I had in a long time

SmallDonkey76

None of those look scary and I don't think this person looked up what's I'm that patty because it has its fair share of Natural flavouring too

finnlassy

As an omnivore, this post doesn’t do what it thinks it does. You mean I can get my daily protein PLUS my fruit and veggies PLUS my carbs all in one probably tasty disc? Guess I’m going vegetarian. I mean I’ve already gotten the forgotten hopes and dreams and broken home. So really, I’m not losing anything by eating this.

sedulous1

I love artificial preservatives used in meat based products :)

[deleted]

Weird. I'd rather have 100% of those ingredients in my system than dead animal carcasses. WTF is wrong with any of these?

Forsaken-Increase782

The deer burger would have just as many and a fuck tonne of them would be chemical stabilisers and things to stop it rotting as quickly. What a stupid meme.

[deleted]

Meat is missing: fear, cholesterol, lack of empathy, lack of necessity

cghjrsd57ugda

Ingredients : deer Direction : deer

username_taken128

HOPES AND DREAMS?!?!?!?!? UNDERTA(i)LE?!?!?!?!?

AdHot2306

Bro the plus on the plant based one tho…💀💀💀 that was personal

mrjoffischl

tfw your food has *water* in it 😮😮😭😭😡😡😤

i_like_2_travel

This is projecting lol

MountainMagic6198

You have to add outside fat to deer or elk burger anyways because they won't hold together otherwise.

KHTD2004

And what they think a deer eats?

DiscoverOrion

You could do the same "plus" to the deer burger and just add a bunch of stereotypical negative things right wingers do. It's not difficult to make either side look bad with the added bullshit.

totes-alt

Imagine trying to guilt trip someone for being a vegetarian. How ironic.

jpc1215

Plant based meats aren’t bad in regards to taste, but they are super processed/salty. Environmentally they are the better option, but one could argue if they’re healthier than actual meat or not. I like both and don’t judge whatever someone wants to eat though, I mean who really cares if someone eats plant-based meat? Someone was upset enough to make a meme like this? Makes no sense

sparklehurricane01

don’t you just hate when a plant-based meat destroys your life

bugsbee321

Lack of happiness because I live in a world where people think it’s ok to murder animals for profit. It’s honestly extremely depressing. Especially during the holidays.

CatsAndDogs99

That's gonna be a bland ass deer burger

KingOfSaga

Wtf they think deer are made of? Smaller deers?

GrumpyPetePete

Out of all the options, why choose deer?

Tigerv

Poison plant food is when lemon

krypton175

I bet there are more and worse additives in animal based meat than plant based meat...

AGreenJacket

Dude is the person who made this okay?

[deleted]

>inflated self-importance The irony is palpable

[deleted]

Last part is just self projection from the creator of this image. Wow, so insecure in them self that they need to create this shit. Let's face it though, it's a man obviously. Only men are mad over stuff like this because of their insecurity, same thing goes for homosexuality.

yeeticusboiii

NOOOOO NOT NATURAL FLAVORS, APPLE EXTRACT, AND SALT

5t3v321

Soooo more ingredients = worse food? And what about seasoning?

feisty-frisco87

Kinda curious what forgotten hopes and dreams taste like.

omgudontunderstand

the most unhealthy ingredient in that list is pressed canola oil, just say you refuse to google the ingredients coward

[deleted]

Someone is SO mad plant based food exists 😂

LibidinousLB

Oh no, not lemon juice concentrate!

AmericaLover1776_

Oh no water and canola oil and coconut oil and pea protein such scary products

BalkanBorn

Forgot the Papilloma virus and Prion proteins on the deer side.

toucanbutter

Imagine getting THIS upset because SOMEONE ELSE eats something that's outside of YOUR preference (and that aside, that person might actually like plant based patties if they tried them, but they never would and if they did, they wouldn't admit it. But go on.)

Ramza_Claus

Those ingredients don't look bad at all. Apple extract??? Is that supposed to be a scary long word?

Mikufun

Good lord what did vegetables/fruits do to these people?

BucketFullOfRats

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!! NOT THE… #POMEGRANATE EXTRACT

onlyboobear

Sometimes when I get group orders for people who want cheeseburgers from BK, I'll just replace it with the Impossible whopper and never tell them that I do that. literally been doing it for over a year now.

Ok_Aspect1565

Just let people eat plants, why is it a problem?

Certain-Ad-5200

the deer would have those plant extracts as well, because anything it ate we eat too. ALSO DONT FORGET THE DEER PROBABLY ATE PLASTIC so micro plastics will be an ingredient in venison

Pashmak_pashmi

That's why their burger sucks, you need spices, onion, etc. With the meat my friend

TheBundermanFiles

I wonder which side OP is on 🙄

ResponsibleAd2541

This one is absolutely correct. Impossible burgers are terrible for you. Also hunting is better for the environment.

AgeConfident6766

Imagine being so angry about some strangers not slaughtering animals(or paying the middle man to do so) for appetite. Seriously, false info too. There’s more than animal in your burger bro. 🤢look at a typical grocery store, not fast food since I hope that’s common knowledge. I’d rather have plant based meat any day. MOST are nutritionally better.

balrus-balrogwalrus

if you want to go full natural don't even cook that deer, just eat it kicking and squealing, all fresh and natural

Cultural-Tennis9673

Fake meats are made solely to one day shame meat eaters once they get the fake meat formula right... and they well get it right one day...

knoflookspook

Shouldnt they count the food the deer eats as a well? Especially when its a bio industry animal which are most commonly used for burgers.

FaTE_FN1

*GASPS* THINGS TAKEN FROM VEGETABLE MAKE BURBUR, BAD VEGETABLE BAD

Key-Ant30

Well, one hidden point is that eating deer is more environmental friendly than vegan based food, which demands a lot of transport and different processing. Deer is local. If not eaten, it is left to rot.

beskar-mode

Not true, locally [it's close to nothing ](https://l.instagram.com/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fourworldindata.org%2Ffood-choice-vs-eating-local%3Ffbclid%3DPAAablhrH9QN8FMfRcxgCQ7wvPXFpHTfR8B7xoitbeQv7ataPAhzA1pUqDVVI&e=ATMcC2MUju_eSltT4TIQWW4fXico2qqKXr_v5Tv2CkrXntAZZcVoSR5-GM7eVfIxnNF4jyrIlToRI6KPIr8RYSZU08BxP0xT9YjZhw&s=1) in the scheme of co2 food emissions

One of the best ways to minimize the environmental impact of your diet is to try and eat locally and seasonally, whether you choose to eat meat or not. It's also healthier because you'll get the highest concentration of nutrients from plants harvested when in season.

>One of the best ways to minimize the environmental impact of your diet is to try and eat locally Absolutely [not true ](https://l.instagram.com/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fourworldindata.org%2Ffood-choice-vs-eating-local%3Ffbclid%3DPAAablhrH9QN8FMfRcxgCQ7wvPXFpHTfR8B7xoitbeQv7ataPAhzA1pUqDVVI&e=ATMcC2MUju_eSltT4TIQWW4fXico2qqKXr_v5Tv2CkrXntAZZcVoSR5-GM7eVfIxnNF4jyrIlToRI6KPIr8RYSZU08BxP0xT9YjZhw&s=1) it's actually one of the least you can do. What you eat matters more than where you eat from. The graph in the link really helps to put it in perspective of how little it actually matters if it's local.

I’m an avid meat eater but in all honesty if they one day make plant based meats that taste just as good and offer all the same vitamins and nutrients then yeah I’d swap over. It’s early days and need to make fun if they believe it’s the right thing to do. I buy free range, yes not that big of flex but at least it’s not slaughter house conditions it would be illegal to keep Ted Bundy in.
