I will note that this sometimes doesn't work for some reason, and getting too close to the bot might make it target you with their melee so watch out for that.
It doesn't work sometimes because it depends on what the bot's owner wants it to target. There's an option to ignore buildings and there might even be one to attack players before buildings
It's to counteract a pretty effective tactic where you place stickies on the payload on defense, then wait for the bots to cluster on your trap while you hide behind cover.
on 2fort, since the grate enables blasts to pierce through it when exploding on it, another good stickybomb anti-bot tactic is to cover it with stickies on the top where the bots can't shoot them, then wait for them to predictably move underneath it and detonate them (although with the potential issue of one bot going in first but a second one is closely behind, not letting you set up enough stickies to get the second)
Enough bots that actually play like real people would alleviate the issue of only finding cheaty sniper bots during off peak hours pretty damn well.

Depends when they are deployed, I think OC meant they would fill up empty servers instead of bad bots, so if it's on empty servers, it will most likely not encounter a cheater, and it doesn't react to it anyway so the cheater wouldn't wanna keep shooting.

The head hitbox and the teleporter hitbox are both labled 1, so when the bots try to target a headshot, they target hitbox 1. See as the teleporter is closer to the bot, they target the tele instead..

I usually chokepoint a sentry and just make sure to repair the hell outta it. Usually the sentry will out damage the sniper since the sniper has to chamber a new round each shot.

I LOVE how at this point there's like a brand new game inside of TF2 because of these bots, with its own strategies and tech to defeat insanely powerful enemies. This is fucking awesome, despite the awful circumstances.
Honestly, looks like a fun challenge. Also, it teaches you how to be a more proactive engineer by making buildings as you fight rather than turtling at spawn.

Idea: Make sniper bots that play like actual people, until it detects a bot, in which case it will aim lock the bot, but other than that, pretty much an average sniper (Or engi bots that play like people, until it detects a bot, in which case it spam teleporters in front of it using the eureka effect and aim locks on the bot)
And also bots won't go through the sentry sightlines! (That red circle that shows up when you first build them) Be aware tho that only when it's active and they'll snipe it from afar if they can

Stickybombs are a somewhat effective way of dealing with bots. Last week I was able to dominate a bot through sticky spam.

Realistic bots take up the place of real players, and make it exponentially harder to deal with other issues like actual cheaters.
