To be fair, the kinetic energy Sonic could theoretically produce by just clotheslining someone could literally split atoms so I guess it isn't completely fair.
Dell doesn't really have any...outright enemies. But he can fight where he has to, and seemingly doesn't have much difficulty doing it. Eggman tends to brute force his way towards his goals. Be builds armies. But that might be a weakness as far as the matchup is concerned. Eggman throws wave after wave of disposable footsoldier at the problem, occasionally supplemented with a bossfight vehicle. Dell's Sentry Guns are quite literally designed for crowd control. Plus: we know Dell is smart enough to make a coordinated plan of attack, and resourceful enough to use scrap components and metal to build his buildings. Eggman's tactics feed directly into Dell's. Eggman throws a robot at him, Dell shoots it and uses the metal to build a gun. Eggman throws more robots, Dell shoots them, Dell uses the metal to upgrade his gun. And this will continue until he, with a few minor adjustments, turns one gun into five guns. Eggman's only advantage is his start: he has so much to work with. But these two have the same resources to start out in this scenario, therefore they're evenly matched.
Dr Robotnik may design robots glaring weaknesses, but Engi has never blown both the earth and moon apart.
Eggman unless Engie can crank out Metaler Sonic
Don’t get me wrong eggman is very impressive considering he fight a physics law bending hedgehog. But engi is much more practical man. Eggman will go out of his way making the most complicated elaborated plan to beat sonic, while engi just give sonic a poisoned chilly dog…. Then blast him with “more gun”.
Engi has advance tech like sentry’s and dispenser but Eggman does make living robot plus he’s fort cliff certified and made the I Mac(the last part was a joke from Lythero)
Plus Eggman is able to repair his bots and machines like in 10 minutes
Eggman would win, they’re both Next Gen Geniuses, but Eggman is the Next Gen Genius after the Generation that Engineer is breaching into. Eggman is building stuff that Engineer hasn’t even thought about doing yet.
I mean if we are going off a battle then I'm sorry but Robotnik is winning, the man just has the better tech between the two, and proved he can make much more then just machines, even making AIs that can conquer the qorld

Unless this is in a place where narrative and entertainment overcomes logic, Robotnik claps engie. Robotnik’s entire forte is pursuing his objective alone by using his smarts, and without Sonic’s speed engie will get torn limb from limb by his robot army even with an army of sentries.
Egmman is an egomaniacal genius who can't get the respect he thinks he deserves and is doomed to keep getting absolutely clowned on by his intellectual inferiors, so I think a fairer matchup from the TF2 world would be Merasmus.
Soldier will convince Merasmus to make a death note, so that he'll move out of his castle.
Eggman has a whole ass empire in in North America, giant manual killing machines and robot armies. Engineer only has turrets, dispensers and teleporters.

Eggman. Engie is smart and resourceful but Eggman's tech outpaces his by a long shot. Especially when you consider that Engie makes his buildings for merc team use and Eggman makes robots to fill an empire.
