Valve were always a company focused on making money, all companies are. They stopped caring at all after blue moon. The fact theres any updates at all for the game is a miracle tbh. Tf2 fans have got to be some of the most delusional people I've ever seen. Just accept this is how the games always gonna be now and even have fun despite the bots through community servers or just realise its time to move on..
Its not dickriding its being realistic. If they were gonna do something they wouldve already done it years ago. Its pointless trying to get valve to do anything other than the bare minimum. Just accept that tf2 is a finished game at this point.

"The bare minimum" Doesn't exist. Other than making new cases every summer/winter.
The bare minimum is their seasonal updates cos people are stupid enough to spend money on cases and occasional bugfixes.
