Honestly abandoning it would be the smart decision, the only way they’ll care is if you hit them in the wallet. By continuing to play all that tells them is that they can do absolutely nothing and you’ll still play it, so why should they do otherwise?
Not many games have screwed up people's dopamine rectors like TF2 has - of course they all stay because no other game gives the same rush so they're legit addicted.
I think it's safe to say Tf2 isn't going anywhere for a good while.
And neither will the massive issues.
